I’m going to start by saying if you haven’t eaten/been to a place more than once then you have no right to be so difficult in reviews. With that said New Day is a happy, locals style café that has a staff of real people who are genuine and not kiss-ass fake. most the women who work here work well together, helping each other out and are very welcoming every time I have come in. they remember my favorites, as ive seen that with other customers as well. Food is always good. the chef is on point. Come have a nice, casual, relaxed experience at New Day Café!

We went here on Mother’s Day for the first time. They were very busy, but we had called ahead and were seated quickly. The young hostess that sat us did a great job and even chatted us up(in a good way). Our waitress was very prompt to come great us(although not as quick to refill drinks — but I’ll give them a pass as they were very busy. Our kids got two meals off of the kids’ menu — pancakes and eggs. Great value for the kids meals. They clearly enjoyed the food as they ate most of it. My wife got eggs benedicts which she said were very good. The highlight for me was the chilaquiles — absolutely fantastic. Homemade enchilada sauce that was excellent. Can’t say enough about how good it was. We’ll definitely be back.

Not the best experience. Service was very slow. We used the call ahead seating and the young lady said it would be about 15 mins. We get there 15 mins later to check in. She said it will be another 15 mins. Turns out we had to wait another 30 mins. Once we sat down and ordered the food it took another 30 – 40 mins for the food to come out. Once we were finished eating we waited around and took a very long time to get our bill. At this point the restaurant had a few customers so there should be no excuse on the slow service. My husbands breakfast burrito also had a hair in it. Not sure we will ever return to this establishment. On a positive note the restaurant was clean and had cute decorations.

Love this place! From CA and tried to find a good breakfast place close by. My daughters and I liked it so much we came twice! The food is great, there are lots of options, friendly staff and reasonably priced! Can’t go wrong!

Worst service! Our server Melanie was extremely rude and incompetent. Even someone having a bad day should never act as poorly as she did to both my husband and I. Being a server for many years has taught me to always treat people with respect. That is something that Melanie surely lacked. I will never go back to this restaurant as long as she is a server at this establishment.

As we first arrived last fine Saturday morning we got greeted with a smile. I must say they have improved their customer service since last few times I have been there. The restaurant has lots of natural light which makes for pleasant brunch. The menu is easy to read and they have delicious and healthy options. For me the food has always been really good. Not great as they could step up a notch on their seasonings. Overall it is a nice place for breakfast and lunch. Service is promt and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing and it’s close to the interstate.

I would rate the New Day higher, but this is our 3rd trip since they opened(& probably have not been there in a year) & the wait for our food was very long for breakfast. On each visit, it took about ½ hr. for our food to arrive. We DID get our beverages(good OJ) on time, so that was a plus. Thank goodness we had each other to chat with, read the newspaper & play on our phones. The food was very good, so we were happy. Nice atmosphere, clean bathroom. No pagers are used when waiting; they will just call your name. Anyway, I’d just say don’t be in a rush for your food, but when you get it, it will be good.

Looks great, good location but service was bad at best and it took a very very long time to get my order. Food was okay at best. When you set my OJ down very hard and spill it in that action and don’t even bother to clean up the mess. Won’t be back !

This breakfast place was not too bad. If you want something that’s definitely indulgence, the French toast club is the way to go(husband got that, took half home to eat tomorrow.) Like a lot of places in Colorado Springs, green chili is very popular addition to almost every other dish. I was most impressed with the size and variety in the fresh fruit bowl, very reasonable for the price. Large variety and portions on the menu, including some healthier versions of omelettes. I got the breakfast chicken quesadilla, which was a little bland but the guacamole was really good. They have active, retired, police, fire fighter 10% discount, which is wonderful! They even listed right on the front of the menu which is something we definitely respect as a military family.

While visiting Colorado Springs we went out for Sunday brunch before hitting the trails. Over Easy was too packed with an hour wait and I called New Day to check on their wait time. 15 min wait and they put us on the list over the phone. When we arrived we waited a few minutes and were seated. The food and service were really good. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the corn beef hash hit the spot. Eggs Benedict was perfect too. We shared a chocolate chip pancake. It was one of the best we’ve had.

Ordered Breakfast sandwich and french toast… yummy! Service is really good and so is the coffee. Wish i would’ve tried this place sooner… walking distance from the Hyatt house.

Food is middling at best. Service is less than. The only thing that’s of any consequence is the breakfast sandwich. HEREIS A TEST: TRY to place an order over the phone. I dare you. They will not ask your name, nor any specifics about your order. I’ve done this several times and they act like a.) they couldn’t care less, and b.) you’re wasting their time. When they end the call they might as well say, «are we done»? I tried to order a breakfast sandwich today(again) and for the LAST time). Did not ask my name, or tell me when it would be ready. Did not ask what type of bread(white? wheat? Bagel?), how I wanted my eggs, what type of meat, or if I even wanted meat. Basically, it was, «Hi, I’d like to order a breakfast sandwich». «Ok». — dead air. «It’ll be ready when you get here». It’ll be ready when you get here? Please don’t give this place your business. They. Do. Not. Care. So, instead I went downtown and got a breakfast sandwich at King’s Chef. Where they remember who I am, actually ASK about my order, and bring it out in a timely manner — all the while being friendly and cheerful. Other places that treat you right: Omelette Parlor, Over Easy, McDonalds!

Full disclosure — Colorado Springs is a dead town for foodies so my expectations are generally low. We stopped in around 10:00 for a late breakfast. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by the hot sauce on the table. When you see Cholula, you’re in a good place because the owners are willing to pay more for a higher quality condiment with no artificial ingredients. Owners also smart because the coffee cups are branded with a local Farmers Insurance agent. A deal that no doubt benefits both parties. Feeling a bit rotund, I opted for the high protein, low carb omelet which was good, turkey moist. Down side I had an empty coffee cup more often than I should have. Good service doesn’t end when the plates are dropped — servers please keep an eye on your tables. It’s frustrating to need something and crane your neck around looking for your server. Born with a penchant for details, the second hanging lamp from the front door is 2″ below the others bit I digress. Would be a solid 4 stars but our server approached the table chewing on her fingers, which of course is gross and I kind of lost my appetite at that point. It should be self evident but for those of you in the food industry and are apparently still fixated at the Freudian oral stage, it’s repulsive. I’m sure if you swabbed my dish her saliva and DNA would be found next to my omelet. Empty coffee cups and finger chewing server = 3 stars.

We visited this café during July 4th and it was delicious. They had a great variety and no wait! The food arrived quickly and it was perfect. All staff uses tablets to place orders that are sent directly to the kitchen. I had the steak quesadilla and my husband had the eggs bacon, potatoes and French toast! Homemade and excellent. I would highly recommend. Yummy

Hostess had an attitude and told us 35 minutes– it was 10. Service was not friendly. Really disappointed in this place. It’s embarrassing talking an establishment up to your family and have them fail so miserably. I would have rather just went to Over Easy.

New Day Café is a great set up for a quick bite or a a sit down breakfast. I got the cactus jack with smothered green chilly. Don’t be surprised when you see the servers on their phones, is how they take orders. But their was quite a few long delays when I was hoping for some more green coolly sauce n refills on my coffee

How many times am I allowed to review a place? Because I feel compelled to 5-star review New Day Café every time I eat there. The only thing left to say is that I’m relatively certain everything on New Day’s menu is great, but I haven’t tested that theory as I’m not quite finished exploring their«Healthy Choices» offerings: Tommy B. Veggie Omelet 8.99 Egg whites with mushrooms, bell peppers, tomato, and spinach, served with fruit or cottage cheese High Protein, Low Carbs Omelet 8.99 Egg whites with turkey, bacon, and spinach, served with cottage cheese Turkey Patty and Two Egg Whites 7.99 Served with cottage or sliced tomatoes Protein Power Omelet 8.99 Egg whites with diced steak and cheddar cheese, served with cottage cheese Sprinters Omelet 8.99 Egg whites with chicken, broccoli, and mushrooms, served with cottage cheese Oatmeal 6.99 Old Fashioned and slow cooked hot oatmeal served with raisins and brown sugar So far I can attest(and rave) about the High Protein, Low Carbs Omelet and the Protein Power Omelet. And suffice it to say you can pretty much have it your way at New Day. Just tell them what you want and they can make it(within reason). And of course, as I’ve mentioned before, they offer Pure Via Stevia(an all-natural, non-GMO, zero calorie sweetener) so that gets major points with me. If I could make one suggestion I would ask management to include the nutritional information next to each item on the Healthy Choices menu section. That would be sweet. Looooove me some New Day!

We went here this weekend on a whim because on Sunday Oliver’s is closed, so we walked down to New Day. Now we did see Momma Pearl’s was open but we weren’t up for trying to eat there again considering our first experience wasn’t that good already. Either way New Day came thru for us again and if their prices were just a dollar or two cheaper it would be our main breakfast joint. All three of us ate like kings and we got to top it off with a smooth tasting Mocha. Also I got to meet the owner and she is a really great person to talk and she seemed very opened to feedback. Plus it was awesome just to sit outside on the patio and enjoy breakfast with the family with a nice breezing blowing, I couldn’t ask for more. Thanks New Day.

I was excited to try a new breakfast spot after reading a random mention of New Day Café last week. My boyfriend and I had just gotten engaged an hour earlier that day and we wanted a mini breakfast celebration. New Day Café seemed like a good choice: a new day, a new engagement, a new breakfast spot. When we walked in, a server stood at the cash register running a credit card and completely ignored us as we stood at the counter. She walked past us with her head down, didn’t make eye contact or say hello. I think I made eye contact with a busboy in the distance near the kitchen, but he just kept working. We stood there out in the open for at least 5 minutes, without a greeting or an «I’ll be with you in a minute.» That was enough for us to leave and take our business elsewhere. Incredibly disappointing.

New place close to my love’s house in the springs. We met a friend there for breakfast and had eggs benedict, a high protein omlet, and a farmer’s omlet. The eggs benedict was my order and they were fantastic. The eggs were cooked perfect for me where they are just runny enough to require sopping up with the english muffins. I had them slip in some spinach on the eggs benedict and it was devine. Everything seemed fresh. We had the chai latte and I thought it was great. Our waitress took great care of us and checked in on us often during the meal. The busboy took away my plate and silverware without asking and I still wanted the spoon to stir my coffee with and the fork in case someone had leftovers. I mentioned to the waitress to please have the busboy ask before he takes everything. Other than that one funny minor little flaw we all loved this place and will be back!
