Cajun grouper sandwich was fine without the extras. Fried shrimp was tasty-I liked the batter. Creamy crab soup was good but a little salty. Restaurant was small but nice — like a little mom & pop shop. Service was good and there’s a bar in the front — make sure u sign in when u arrive to get seated.

Delish. food with a reasonable price. We come hear at least twice a year during our Summer break week. I recommend a pitcher of Sangria and a Crabby Shrimp Sandwich. I would give them a 5, except I noticed a waitress placing used drink coasters on the pile to be reused, kinda gross.

Everything was fresh & delicious. The waitresses were really friendly. We had the classic grouper sandwiches(big portions) and the frenchies garlic crab fries which was the bomb! So delicious! The chocolate covered strawberry cheesecake was also fresh & very good. The prices are reasonable.

This place was decent… not great but a good place for a quick bite. Stopped at this location for lunch and had the fish tacos. They were good. My boyfriend really enjoyed the shrimp basket. Went to the location on the beach the next day. It was a chilly night so I wanted some warm, comfort food and ordered the shrimp pasta. It was very bland and lacked any sort of flavor. The view was great though, can’t beat that.

Local tourist spot with good food. Service was adequate(they passed over my name on the waiting list, which I caught). Crab cakes and Original Grouper sandwich is worth the trip and a must have if you are only visiting one time.

I’ve been to a couple different Frenchy’s locations, and I always think of them as average places with cheap food for its location. We came to this Frenchy’s on a rainy afternoon and it was pretty empty. It’s pretty inexpensive but I also find that the serving size is on the smaller side. While my philly cheesesteak was pretty good, it was tiny! I will say the service was great and they were quick to check on us or fulfill any requests. The sangria was tasty and refreshing. You sort of know what to expect if you’ve been to Frenchy’s before. They’re all pretty similar!

I visited all 4 of the Frenchy’s locations while I was in Clearwater Beach, mostly to get my «Frenchy’s Passport» stamped rather than actually liking the restaurants. This place is what it is — a place to get cheap, fried seafood to pad your stomach while you proceed to get hammered for the night. The menu’s at the Frenchy’s restaurants are different, but they have a lot of the same stuff. At this Frenchy’s, I had the seafood gumbo and the cracked conch. The gumbo was alright, but the cracked conch was horribly overcooked and rubbery. If you’re looking for something cheap and fried to down with your $ 2 – 3 beers, then Frenchy’s is the place to go, but if you’re looking for good quality food, this ain’t it.

Frenchy’s is a great spot! Food was awesome & the service was exceptional! Start it off with the fabulous crab fries. The grilled Mahi Mahi was delicious… the grouper was awesome and don’t forget to finish it off with some fried Oreos. Thank you Jacey, you were great!

This is sort of a locals place, and the tourists occasionally find it. We go on Monday nights, a couple times a month for the $ 4.75 burger(really good!) About a buck to add a heaping mound of fries(and they actually make good on request for well done fries.). House Chardonnay is pretty good and its 4 bucks… I’m addition, we always, always get very efficient service. Don’t tell anyone from outta town! :)

Those crab fries though!!! My husband and I went here on a Friday night for dinner. We ordered the crab fries and they were absolutely amazing! I almost wish we had gotten the full order instead of the half order as our appetizer. I then had the Cajun grouper sandwich and my husband had the buffalo one. Both sandwiches tasted great! The service was friendly and it was a chill laid back atmosphere. Our table was a little sticky. but I guess that is pare for the course since it is a busy beach town and we were sitting outside. All in all, a nice chill place to have a meal.

We visited 3 Frenchy’s locations while in Clearwater Beach. They all have their own flare about them. The one located directly on the beach was my fave! We actually visited that one twice. First time sharing Cajun grouper fish tacos while sitting outside admiring the white sand beach and watching the volleyball players. Service was quick and the servers were clean and smiling. Big plus. Don’t just take that kind of stuff for granted these days folks. Do direct the hostess to where you would like to sit. There were several awesome view tables open and she still directed us to a corner table with no view of the beach. Wth? I had to sick the big guns on her and we moved to a middle patio table and wifey was happy. Great beer specials. Crab fries were yummy and messy. Hence the 7 trees worth of napkins they give you… Grouper sandwich was delish. Not sure what kind of bums they use but I fell in love with bad carbs all over again! We will def be back. The other two street locations were not as clean. Servers weren’t happy to be there. It was like going to the Dollar Store after shopping at Macy’s… Stick to the beach location. Sit at the bar if you can. Bartender gals were fun :) Kona beers 2 for $ 5

I have had a home here in Clearwater Beach for 9 years. Going to Frenchy’s has been a staple for my family. We love the fish tacos– peel n eat shrimp– gumbo– sirloiner burger-and more. Can’t really go wrong on the menu. Great prices too, especially when you check out the specials and the discounted beer of the month! You walk in and put your name and # of folks in your party on the clip board and they will call you when your table is ready. Don’t miss this local gem.

After just arriving in FL we drove to Frenchy’s Rockaway location that was highly recommended by a friend. We found that it was closed for renovations, so we went to the nearby Frenchy’s Original, on Baymont. It was busy even at 3pm on a Sunday, and very noisy. The service was OK, the poor waitress seemed to be the only one there! The food was pricey for the little portions, and the«famous» grouper sandwich was just OK. The restroom was nice and seemed clean. We will not return to this location. We found out that all of the Frenchy’s locations have different menu options, and probably some have better food.

What can I say. Where do I start. Cozy beach side bar/dining establishment. This is where the locals and the tourists mingle. The staff is fast and friendly. They remember you. They have a jukebox that is always going. Makes me want to go back now. I happened in here around 8pm on a Tuesday night. I went with the Red Sangria. 4.95 a glass or 12.95 a pitcher. If you aren’t driving go with the pitcher. The kicker to this sangria is brandy and cinnamon. You can get it sans cinnamon but I advise against it. It gives it something extra without tasting cinnamony. This nights special was Baja Fish Tacos for 1.75 each. Fresh, hot, great flavor on fresh tortillas. It doesn’t get any better. Even if I didn’t want to eat I’d stop in for sangria. Makes my mouth happy
