This was our first time out to Clear Sky and we weren’t disappointed! There was a small wait but maybe 5 minutes at the most. A 6 top before us got seated only a few minutes later(we were only two — kid free breakfast!) so the wait times even for larger parties didn’t seem bad. We’re locals but it seemed to be mostly tourists around us. Within walking distance from a lot of hotels and decent parking as well. It’s the beach so obviously parking is at a premium but we were able to get a spot and there were also metered spots available on the road if needed. Prices were actually a little below-average for the beach I think. Granted it was more expensive than our normal luncheonette for breakfast but definitely worth it! Husband and I both got coffee as caffeine was a necessity and it was actually very good. I’m used to having to choke down horrible coffee as most restaurants can’t seem to get coffee right or burn it so we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the filet and eggs — medium filet and over-easy eggs. Came with toast and very delicious potatoes! The steak was slightly less than medium but good nonetheless. The eggs were cooked perfect and my only real«complaint» was maybe a bit too much crust on the filet but it was easily brushed off. Toast wasn’t buttered and there was no butter provided but I dipped it in the egg anyway so no big deal. Filet was exceptionally tender and delicious! Hubs had the chicken and waffles. The waffle was standard but very good. The chicken is definitely prepared in-house and not frozen. It was served with sausage gravy which was a little weird for both of us as I usually just do syrup with chicken and waffles but it was pretty good. Four stars only because our food took quite a while to come out. We weren’t in a rush but if we’d had our kiddos with us it might have been an issue.(Trying to keep hungry toddlers occupied is never fun!) Will definitely be back!

Deserves 10 stars! Not only for the food but their hospitality! Being pregnant, I am more picky about my food. I didn’t have one meal that I didn’t like out of our 3 visits. Also, we had an incident where I «lost» my Prada sunglasses(no one likes to loose expensive things) Well, manager took his time to look at his cameras to show me that I was crazy(or pregnant.) and left with the glasses on my head. Still a mysterious loss since we walked 1min from the restaurant to the hotel. Service was great. Expect a wait. All food was great: tacos, chicken special, biscuits and gravy, French toast, chorizo skillet, breakfast sandwich, lobster poppers, avocado fries, and a cinnamon roll. Thanks for the great food and service!

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the food was slow coming to the table. However, it was Father’s Day and they were slammed! I made a reservation and was glad I did because the line of people waiting outside was long. Even though they were very busy, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was worth the wait! Everything was delicious.

Came here for breakfast/brunch and it was worth it! There was a little bit of a wait, it was Saturday morning but they had a Blood Mary bar open that made up for it. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Loved the atmosphere, live music on the patio and the food was amazing! If I’m ever back in Clearwater this will be the first place I come back to!

We decided to check out Clear sky café for Mother’s day since one of my friends have raved about their Bloody Marys and I love Bloody Marys. Of course we had Bloody Marys while we waited which were delicious and you got to pick what type of various garnishes you wanted in your drink. Delicious but very filling so I moved on to mimosa with pear, yum who knew it would be so tasty. Once we were seated we were promptly met by our server who was very personable and did a great job taking care of us. She gave suggestions, make sure we had drinks and our water was full and checked on us periodically. Now on to the important stuff, the food… everything was fresh, hot and flavorful. We had the corn beef hash, crab benedict and chicken sausage benedict with chilies and avocado. All the meals were served with potatoes, I thought there could be a few more potatoes but other than that everything else was great. Defiantly a place I will come back to.

Our last morning in Florida and since we were going to be in Clearwater Beach I checked Unilocal for a good breakfast spot. Clear Sky Café came up as a favorite of many Unilocalers. As we approached I could see it was probably going to be a long wait and this was confirmed by the hostess with a 20 minute wait. They have a system of leaving your cell # and they text you when your table is ready. OK. The beach is a block away so we could go there while waiting. Well that didn’t work out because within 5 minutes our table was ready. We sat at a high table which was fine. My wife had the«Beach Boy Omelette«, and I ordered the«Coast Watch Omelette«. My wife thought her omelette was OK but not thrilled. Hey, she married me so how can we trust her judgment. My omelette was all it was hyped up to be. I really enjoyed it and the side of potatoes was good as well. The atmosphere it really nice and a bonus they have live music. I don’t live in Florida so I won’t be a regular but I suggest you become one and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

This is probably the best breakfast on the beach for the price. This was not our first time here, but the first time reviewing it. I love this place, they have a great menu and a full bar, who can argue with that? I am not a fan of traditional breakfasts, but my husband is, fortunately they have something for both of us. I like the Mexican skillet and breakfast burrito. He likes the traditional breakfast plates. If you are into benedicts, they have about a dozen different ones from which to choose. The key to not having to wait for a table is to get there early. We got there before 9am on a Saturday and got the last parking spot in the lot and one of the last tables. Once seated, you can either order something from the Bloody Mary bar, the full bar or just coffee and juice. To be honest, I have never had drinks here, just coffee. There is inside and outside seating. I have always sat inside. It is really cute inside too. Service is always good, the food is always good, except on this trip the kitchen seemed to have a hard time with the toast, my husband’s toast was burnt as was the people’s next to us. My husband asked for new toast, which was better, but just toasted on one side. Other than that, everything else was wonderful. Any time we go out to Clearwater Beach for a weekend, I basically want to go one of the two mornings because I just really like this place.

My family and I were in town for Mother’s Day weekend. We decided to stop by here for lunch. Let me start off by saying, I was really disappointed that they don’t serve breakfast all day. I was kind of disappointed by their lunch menu, and I was REALLY hoping to have some french toast! With that being said, for being a party of 7 we were seated immediately. We asked for a table outside, since on Saturday the weather was amazing(despite the crazy wind). After about 10 minutes, the wind was a tad bit unbearable, so we asked the hostess if she could put down the covers. She happily obliged and that stopped the wind from blowing in. Our waiter came by fairly quickly to get our drinks. After looking through the menu, we all decided on something. I reluctantly chose the quesadilla(I honestly wasn’t interested in anything on their menu). Other items ordered were the lobster roll, lobster mac and cheese, Mahi Mahi sandwich, and the barbecue chicken pizza. We also ordered the calamari appetizer. The calamari appetizer came out fairly quickly. It was pretty good, since you could actually taste the calamari. It wasn’t covered in tons of batter, so that was a plus. The only thing I have to say is that the way they displayed it was pretty inefficient. They put the sauce on the bottom(a thin layer) and then put all of the calamari on top, so we only got to the sauce when we ate about half of the calamari. It would’ve been better if they just put the sauce on the side. Our food took a little while, but we patiently waited. Our waiter also came back around several times to refill our waters, which was really nice. I’m used to the majority of wait staff disappearing after taking your order and then not coming back until 10 years later. My chicken quesadilla was good. It’s just chicken and cheese inside, but they put little scoops of salsa, bean salad, guacamole, sour cream, and jalapeños on the plate as well, which was a nice touch. It wasn’t amazing, but it was a good portion for the price. The Mahi Mahi sandwiches were great! The fries that accompanied it were also nom. They were like an upgraded version of a potato wedge, since they were much crispier yet still potato-y. Definitely a thumbs up! The lobster roll was extremely disappointing. It didn’t look appetizing and according to my cousin was far from it. She could barely eat half. The pizza was delicious, but it is huge! If you’re going to get it, I suggest that you share it with someone(as there’s about six slices per pie). The lobster mac and cheese was good! Nothing out of this world, but it was good. Overall, it was a good experience. The bill was around $ 120, no drinks, just water and food. Tip was included. The whole place had a very calm ambiance, with none of the guests being overtly loud. They had several TVs outside with the Kentucky Derby playing(plus if you’re into that sort of thing). Cool place! I just wish I could’ve had breakfast instead. Maybe next time?

Since mom and I were on Clearwater beach trying to find a funny t-shirt for an event, I thought it would only be right to do lunch down there. We walked down the North beach drag and stumbled across Clear Sky Café with it’s Large beach chair and dolphin out front, and the nice dining patio. It looked inviting so we went inside. The sign said«Wait for waitress to seat you» so we did. The bartender was busy with her clients, all 3 of them, that she never once looked up. It was about 4 minutes before a waitress walked by and delivered food to a table and started to walk past again without even acknowledging us when I asked if there was a hostess. She looked surprised and said«Sure, sit where ever you like.» So I took mom to one of the small booths inside and we sat down. We were handed the menus but no setups, and given a few minutes to look them over. When V-ron came to attend us, she asked us our drink order and came back promptly. Then we placed our order for the Soup and sandwich combo, both of us getting the French Onion soup and the pressed Cuban sandwich. The food was absolutely delectable. The service from this point on was great. V-Ron(Veronica) was sweet and attentive. We would certainly come back.

Not gonna lie, not impressed at all. Especially after reading previous reviews, super disappointed. Food: meh. Actually kinda gross. Had the lobster Benedict. Lobster was good but rest was bland and dry, specially the English muffin underneath it all– ugh. I actually cleaned the lobster and eggs off and ate them alone. The Gouda cheese grits tasted like water… DISGUSTING. Sent those bad boys back. Service: amazing. Anna was great, the best part of checking out this place. Overall: save yourself your money and belly room, other places on the strip that are WAY better.

I had read reviews that seemed mixed about Clear Sky Café and some said the wait time was too long to be seated. I went at 8 am and was seated immediately but when I left at 9 there was a line so I would say get there by 8 and you’ll be happy. I had the Grand Floridian pancakes and added sugared pecans and fresh berries. Fantastic! I couldn’t have been happier. To be able to walk a short distance to the beach after breakfast was a bonus. It isn’t cheap but you’ll get a lot of high quality food and good service for your money.

I visited Clear Sky twice during my recent visit to Clearwater Beach. The first time was for dinner with a work colleague. I ordered the Reef Donkey IPA — now on my all-time fave list of IPAs. And for dinner — a Cajun Blackened Mixed Grill dish which included Mahi Mahi, scallops, and shrimp, with some sautéed vegetables. It was absolutely divine! I could eat that every night for dinner and be happy! The Cajun run was delicious and the fish and seafood were cooked perfectly! The second time I came in for breakfast and sat at the bar. I ordered a Crabcake Bennie and an order of their Corned Beef Hash — which they advertise as «scratch made» and a cup of coffee. I was intrigued as I love a good scratch made corned beef hash — and periodically make my own variations of hash at home. I specifically asked that the English muffins be toasted longer so that they be crispy when the dish came out and so they were not all soft and doughy from the other ingredients. The bartender who took my order told me «no problem.» A short while late my food came out — and lo and behold — they totally ignored the request and the English muffins were barely toasted — and had that soft, mushy texture that English muffins get when barely toasted. I pushed both English muffins aside ate the rest of the dish — which was tasty. The Corned beef hash was not really a hash, it felt more like a bowl of pulled corned beef with huge cubes of potato tossed in. The dish could have been way better if they had spent a little more time on prep and presented the ingredients in a smaller dice. By the time I paid my bill, the bartender noticed the English muffins were untouched. She asked me how the meal was. I asked if she remembered me requesting the muffins be toasted longer. She replied that she did and she looked at them and agreed the kitchen had ignored her instructions. She went to grab a manager — his response was to apologize and had me a $ 5.00 off my next meal card. My response was«Thank you» but I am not from around here, and I am heading to the Airport right now to head home. I should have handed the card to a stranger as I was headed out of the restaurant, but the caffeine had not yet kicked in… Clear Sky would have gotten five stars if they had not botched the breakfast. I like this place, I just think there is room for better execution.

Have to start with the bad news first. I ordered grilled grouper with broccoli and rice. The rice in my dish did not come. The server dropped off our food but did not return. We finally flagged down a different waiter so she could grab him. Five more minutes later he came out. He didn’t apologize or make an excuse. Eventually he did bring it out, but I had already eaten most of my entrée by that point. I would have appreciated a quick fly by after we had dug into the food, then I wouldn’t have had to wait so long! He probably only came to our table five times all night… just what was required to deliver and take away. He seemed to have an attitude after the snafu with the rice. The special fish, the Margate, was the best dish of the table. It tasted a lot like a snapper and came with a white beurre sauce with crab. Mmm. My sister said that the dressing for the Thai salad was very spicy… wish they would have put it on their menu. This place is pricier than your average café on the beach, between $ 22 and $ 26 for a seafood entrée. We went on a Sunday and they had a great local singer with a guitar. Noël had a great voice and a fun personality. Very entertaining and good at what he does. Also loved the online song request and tip platform. Made it easy to hear songs you wanted and show your appreciation for the music if you don’t carry cash The biggest bummer of the night… they automatically add an 18% gratuity for parties of 6 and over. That really frustrated me, because I had no recourse as a diner should I get poor service… which is exactly what happened. These are the reasons for the low star rating – really a shame.

*this review is for the Clear Sky restaurant in Dunedin. I can’t figure out how to delete it. But I’m sure this Clearwater Beach location is great too! Went late Sunday night because I was craving a burger and had heard about theirs from a friend. Got the«heart attack»: two ½ pound patties, thick-cut bacon, CHOICE of two cheeses, and toasted bun. For starters, the patties are a blend with short rib and brisket and they are so good I honestly don’t know if I’ll be able to get a burger anywhere else in the near future. Only once, in Colorado, did I have a burger this good. Everything about it, down to the perfect bun, make this my new burger spot in Tampa Bay. Server was excellent and was way too friendly and accommodating for a late night on a Sunday.

We came here for Sunday breakfast/brunch and this place was clearly popular with locals and tourists alike. It’s definitely a lively brunch place with live entertainment out in the porch area. We had a 20 – 30 minute wait for our table, but while we waited, we decided to take advantage of the Bloody Mary bar. I’m not really a fan of Bloody Marys but when I saw my friend choosing between Sriracha, Tabasco, Cholula, and an assortment of 3 or 4 other hot sauces to add to her drink, I suddenly became thirsty. While it’s not as elaborate as something like the Bloody Mary bar in Vegas where you can get a hamburger added onto your drink, it’s a lot more than I’ve seen at many other places. And now I know I actually kind of like Bloody Marys when they’re drowned in hot sauces. Food here was terrific, I had the banana nut pancakes, which were just sinful with the glazed pecans and the thick, sugary glazed sauce on top. I could feel a major sugar rush hitting me as I was eating those pancakes. I also had a side of the corned beef hash, and it lives up to it’s «homemade» description with lot of shredded pastrami and big cubes of fried potatoes — as opposed to the usual mushy stuff people are used to getting out of a can(not that I don’t also love that mushy stuff as well) that many places serve. Overall, this is a great place to hang out, enjoy a nice drink and a tasty breakfast, and people watch from the porch.

We usually come here every year on vacation. Typically, it’s a favorite for us. This time it was just okay. We started with avocado fries. 5 stars for those. My mom got the seafood paella. It was absolutely awful. The rice had no seasoning or flavor. The only seafood was 5 mussels. We should have sent it back but we were too hungry. 1 star for the paella. I got the seafood mixed grill. It was okay. I liked the rice, shrimp and veggies. The fish was terrible and I substituted for grouper at 3 $+ extra. 2 stars because I liked 80%. My boyfriend got the short ribs adobo. He liked it a lot but it was so small. 3⁄5 stars for that price. This place has changed a lot in the past few years. I would stay away for how much everything costs.

The food and coffee here are very good. But fair warning: this place is popular. Even during the off-season, I had to wait 45 minutes for a table. With that said, the food here was really quite good and our server was so friendly. They do a fine job with Eggs Benedict. The coffee is strong and delicious. There are a few other cafes within a block that are also worthy of your attention, so if the wait here is long feel free to explore.

Check the specials menu, as this changes depending on the catch of the day. When I say«catch of the day» I mean from the fishermen returning just across the harbor! Our party of 4 had fried grouper, excellent, blackened grouper over a delicious rice pilaf that was an elevated pilaf somehow, simply divine! I had the Shrimp and Smoked Grits that was wonderful! We wanted a nice seaside brunch and through a Unilocal search we happened upon Clear Sky Café. This place was everything I thought it would be and more. The service was good without being too much and it’s such a cute little place that you just have to put it on your list to check out. I ordered the lobster scramble and it was so good and I damn near licked my plate. First off, the chunks of lobster were nice and meaty and they weren’t cheap with the portions either. Meaning there weren’t 3 pieces of lobster in the scramble. This thing was chock full of lobster. The potatoes that accompanied the dish were outstanding. Nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. I ordered a biscuit on the side and it was buttery without me even having to add butter. I didn’t even need jelly. It was good on its own. Of course I ordered a Bloody Mary and it was bomb. It wasn’t too spicy but didn’t taste like straight tomato juice. After an amazing brunch we took a stroll along Clearwater Beach. It was a great day!

This is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots in the area. The menu has lots of different things to select, the food is always first rate and the service is knocked out. My wife and I recently had a later-than-usual dinner on a busy Friday night, and it couldn’t have been better. For example, when we asked for a table(not a booth), the Hostess(I’m kicking myself for not getting her name) said the only table for immediate seating«…was next to a pretty loud group», and offered a booth, the patio or to wait a bit. We gambled, and the large group of business people were almost ready to roll anyway. Nevertheless, the Hostess checked on us twice to make sure all was well. Pretty impressive. Our Server, Sydney, did a super job of balancing our needs against her other tables. She was personable, helpful and was very attentive, keeping our table well stocked as needed. Our food was great as always. We started with Chesapeake Bay Chips with crab and lemon aioli, which was a very tasty kickoff. In spite of such a varied menu, we ordered the same entrees as our last visit: Mixed Seafood Grill and Shrimp & Grits. Both are going to very hard to beat, but we’ll expand our horizons next time and try a few different items. The topper was a delicious warm slice of Apple Pie with Vanilla Bean ice cream, which was a large scoop resting in a bowl next to the pie, instead of melting over it. Another very nice experience at Clear Sky!

My girls and I hit up Clear Sky for breakfast before going to the beach. The patio is beautiful, and I loved relaxing out there. It took a little while for someone to come to the table, but after that, the service was good. The food is fine. Nothing to complain about. I went with the chicken ranchero crepes and didn’t find them all that flavorful, plus they could’ve used more filling. I’d probably try a different option upon returning. My friends order egg-based dishes, and seemed to like them. I was impressed by the drink menu. It’s on a tablet, and it is extensive. I didn’t know what to order. I don’t even remember what I did order, but it was something cold and fruity because hey… vacation. It was fairly strong too(or maybe that was because it was 10 a.m. and I hadn’t eaten). But, drinking seems welcome at all times here. Seems like their lunch and dinner may be better, and I’m guessing I’ll be returning. There aren’t many breakfast options in Clearwater Beach and Clear Sky is an OK choice.

This place is ridiculously good. This is our third visit here. We started with the lobster risotto balls. Amazing. Full of flavor. The outside was crispy, sauce well seasoned. I’ve previously had the Grouper sandwich which was fresh, perfectly cooked and seasoned as well, but this time decided on monster grilled cheese with pulled pork. My wife got the Brie BLT. That grilled cheese is ridiculous. Double decker with Gouda, cheddar, Swiss, creamy Parmesan, and pulled pork(see photos). The middle piece of bread was a bit too much for me but the taste was great. The Brie BLT was also amazing. Brie was creamy, bacon and bread crispy, and both sandwiches seasoned perfectly. It’s always nice when you come to a restaurant multiple times and it’s consistently good, and this place never disappoints.

Last was the one of best! On our way out of town, we tried eating on the opposite side of town from where we were staying. We entered and was quickly seated. We had the best waitress who kept the coffee flowing and we ate on their large outdoor patio. Unfortunately, a storm came in while we were eating but the coverage was good enough that we could still stay outside. The menu had a bunch a different egg Benedicts, like the other breakfast places we visited, as well a interesting selection of other egg dishes. The dish that put them over the top was their waffles. Their waffles were AMAZING… made with thick cuts of challah bread and then covered in a number of selections. I had the nutella waffle covered in strawberries and syrup. TODIEFOR.

Hot damn, this was a great breakfast place! There was a little bit of a wait on a beautiful Thursday morning, but they’ll graciously text you to alert you that your table is ready. But you better move your arse when you receive that notification because they’ll only hold your table for 5 minutes. — Blackened Shrimp and smoked gouda grits… Sexyman ordered this and I helped myself to more of it than I rightfully should have. The blackened shrimp was cooked perfectly and the cheesy grits were an amazing compliment. I would have licked the plate if we weren’t in public. — Lobster Brie Bennie… eggs Benedict with chunks of lobster and a melted slice of Brie cheese? Oh yes I did. I substituted grits for hashbrowns(when in Rome). Finding grits in Northern NJ is like finding Bigfoot. And they were grit-tastic! — Almond French toast… sweet, crispy, and served with cinnamon-infused butter. Add some syrup to it and get ready to swoon(and gain 5 pounds). They have a full bar and offer several variations of mimosas, including peach and passion fruit. Parking is a bit tight in the lot(it’s shared with a handful of other stores) but you’ll find something nearby if it’s full. Friendly and inviting waitstaff. Get your name on that list and sit outside if you can!

Super lecker Sandwich! Sehr nette und aufgeschlossene Bedienung! Getränke sind ein wenig zu teuer — für meinen Geschmack. Desserts und Getränke sind über ein separates ipad(pro Tisch eins) einsehbar! Super Idee !
