I love this place! Especially when the Piano Player is there that plays songs you can sing along to like Piano Man. I always enjoy their food and service, even when they were out of lobster!

I am pretty relaxed about experiences in new places. I will typically give a place a chance regardless of appearances, prices on the menu, especially if the place has decent reviews online. Also, I have been completely surprised by many places are truly amazing restaurants found in unappealing strip malls in Florida. My daughter and I made a reservation online for 7:30 to celebrate her 17th birthday(which I did mention in the online reservation) and our last dinner in florida before we return to snowy Chicago. I selected this restaurant because she wanted Lobster Bisque. The website and many of the reviews were good. We arrived just before our reservation time and the place was cavernously empty… we were greeted by a friendly host that asked if we wanted to sit in the bar or the dining room. We said the dining room only to find 20 empty plastic table clothed tables in the middle of the dining room, 2 booths situated against the wall — one that was taken and about 12 empty two tops along the perimeter of the room. The lighting was one large center fixture that cast a stark light on the dismal décor. The table tops had a sad candle globe of fall colored maples leaves — however the candles were not lit until the table was occupied so the effect on the brightly lit room was nonexistent. My daughter said to me several times that she felt uncomfortable and that something felt«off» about this restaurant. The waitress was VERYPLEASANT and the only reason we stayed. We ordered a beverage and we each ordered soup, she ordered the lobster bisque and I ordered the french onion — both were UNEATABLE! My daughter was disappointed and ready to go. As soon as I finished my wine, we asked for the check. It was obvious that the soup was not to our liking based on how much we ate from our bowls. We were only charged for the wine and my daughter’s beverage. I left a nice tip for the waitress and we scurried out of there.

Very slow service on a night when the restaurant was practically empty. Waited 1:15 for our meal. The food was mediocre, nothing special about it. Overpriced for the quality.

I don’t normally write reviews but I must comment. Sampled some excellent interpretations of traditional seafood dishes that were excellent. I highly recommend the lobster cargot appetizer, shrimp scampi, and lobster mac n cheese. I dropped a star only for the wine list. Well prepared food from the vinagrette to the seafood!

I was the only one in the restaurant for a late lunch. Service was great and attentive, but the food left a lot to be desired. The lobster bisque was served just a tad above room temperature — lukewarm. It was followed by Calamari that was mostly breading. The side salad with blue cheese dressing was actually very good. I had the recommended Grouper that was cooked just right but had absolutely no flavor. Good service, good conversation and meh food, this is your place!

We were a party of seven on a Saturday night. I had seen the Unilocal Reviews but it was close by and the menu looked good so we decided to give it a shot. First impression was the restaurant was very pleasant. The hostess was friendly and the décor was up to date. It seemed clean. Second impression was boy, this place is empty. The server was attentive and honest– maybe a little too honest. Several items on the menu were not available, several items were not her favorite. Turns out there is a new menu coming out in a few days and it will apparently be much better than what is available now. Unfortunately we were not capable of time travel so we were there with the old menu. We decided on some drinks and appetizers. The bottle of wine we wanted was not available but they gave us a more expensive bottle for the same price which was very nice. That was probably the highlight of this experience for me and the main reason I gave them two stars instead of one. Another friend had martini that she thought was too syrupy. The server did make a nice suggestion that wasn’t on the menu for another friend. The bread was nothing special and the butter was practically frozen. The chips were stale. The«bruchetta»(that’s how it was spelled on the menu) was more like an olive tapenade. Maybe when you leave the s out of bruschetta it’s a different dish? My friends lobster bisque was reported to be good. At this point, we decided this meal was almost to the point of no return and was not going that great. We decided to ask for our check and go somewhere else for the rest of our meal. Hopefully the new menu will help this place out.

The wife and I ate there for dinner on Father’s day. We had a NY strip special for $ 28.95. This included 2 sides and soup or salad. We had a house salad, red potatoes, green beans, and the steak… with lobster nachos to start. The food was excellent, service was very good. Probably one of the better steaks that I have had for the money. The only negative, I ordered medium the wife medium well and the steaks were just a bit over cooked but very good.

My family visited for my husband’s birthday dinner while in town on vacation. The atmosphere is different as it is not an outdoor restaurant. But, we thought the food and service were excellent. A little pricey, but worth it if you order the right things. Lobster mac and cheese and lobster nachos were delicious!

Walked in the front door, mouth watering for a lobster roll, turned around and walked right back out due to the FOUL smell. Enough said.

The best lobster tail sauce I have ever had. It was a chef created lemon cello, butter blanc and it was out of this world. So much so that I came back the next night for it… Excellent service. Friendly team. Do not be afraid to try this place. Have not been back in awhile? Try it again. I found none of what these others posters have found. Spectacular dinner for the money.

The place was beautifully decorated. Everything on the menu looked delicious. I went with a group of four and we all tried each other’s meals. Everything was incredible. I highly recommend the Lobster Mac n Cheese. It comes with a whole lobster tail resting on a bed of four-cheese mac n cheese.

FORGETIT! We were there on a Friday night — no live music, no bread put on table until requested –then the waiter came out with the equivalent of 2 warm Wonder Bread rolls. When we entered, I asked if the lobsters were fresh or frozen… «oh, definitely fresh from Maine» we were told. OK. then why isn’t there a whole lobster on the menu? Why isn’t there a lobster tank there? BC, I’m quite certain they do not get fresh lobsters but frozen lobster tails… which were available in many configurations on the menu. I wanted to ask… «What do you do with the rest of the lobster, toss it?» So, from the start I was turned off. I ordered a salad as an entrée — Spinach, Israeli couscous, medjool dates, goat cheese, almonds, red peppers, and green onions. What could go wrong? PLENTY. The spinach was fresh and there was plenty of couscous… but there was maybe ONE medjool date chopped into 8 tiny pieces, the few almonds were pulverized on the bottom of the salad and couldn’t be picked up with a fork, there was one tiny red pepper(½ inch long x 1⁄8 inch wide), and NO green onions. The waiter came by to ask how everything was, and I was about to open my mouth, when he said, «OK, great» and walked away! Maybe he knew not to wait for an answer! For a bowl of spinach and couscous, we paid $ 12! My husband ordered lobster mac and cheese with chewy lobster and mac and cheese that wasn’t baked in its small dish(no brown crust), but taken from a pot. I would have complained but my husband held me back. This place is horrible… avoid it and go down the block to Clear Sky for an excellent meal.

What Happened to the Lobster Pot ??? When I lived in Pinellas County, The Lobster Pot was a favorite !! Found out(on my way there) the location on Reddington Beach no longer existed. ;-( The bistro on Clearwater Beach is way over priced and the atmosphere of the original is gone and replaced in the middle of a tourist trap. 2 Lobster Tacos, Fish and Chips and a bowl of soup $ 70(not including tip) VERYDISAPPOINTED. Should have gone with my first choice to Texas Cattle Company for my birthday.

Horrible food and service. The white bean chili was just water and beans. Nachos were sad. Salad was just lettuce. Server was clueless.

Went on a business dinner with a group of 10 and all of us were not impressed. We ordered 4 appetizers for our group and when they arrived the were sooo small. It was basically 2 bites of food. All of us wondered why the waiter wouldn’t tell us to order more. Several in our party had the lobster bisque and unfortunately there was very little lobster in the bisque, in fact one of the people in our group didn’t even get any lobster. If there was a shining star it would be the potato crusted grouper, several of us had it and it seemed to be the best item anyone got. The service was very slow and the restaurant was virtually empty… you too can have this great experience for 10 of your closest friends for $ 550.00+

Um… yeah it kinda sucked. Let me try to break it down: I was there with about 8 people for lunch the day after Thanksgiving. The place was empty, except for one couple. They moved some tables together and placed us in an adjacent room — a room to ourselves, or so I thought. The following is a quick digression and isn’t a review of the place, but rather a nasty experience that I don’t wish on anyone in a restaurant: shortly after we were seated a couple and three very young children came in and were seated next to us.(so much for the private room). To get these young kids to relax and stay seated the parents immediately gave them an iPad that was blasting Disney music. C’mon, get the kids friggin headphones. Or at least turn the crap down. What is with people? I wanted to turn my iphone on to Black Sabbath and crank it right back at them. I mean, I have kids and sure I’ve distracted them with electronics at the table, but the rule is: in a restaurant the sound is off. Play a game. Man, were they annoying. At least turn the crap down. God I hate people sometimes. Sorry, digression. Where was I? Ah yes, as I was being held hostage by the tinny sounds of Idina Menzel belting out«Let it Go,» I was waiting for my Lobster Roll sandwich to come out. I had already ordered a Black Manhattan that was basically Whiskey, angostura bitters and blackberries and was not bad. But the food was taking forever. Easily 45 minutes or so later, the food comes out. This was after a couple of «what’s taking so long?» complaints from the other end of our table. All I know is that 3 people from our party had ordered the lobster tails, said they were undercooked and sent them back. No, actually they cancelled the order completely because after waiting that long and then having it undercooked they no longer wanted it. Me, I was glad not to have the drama and happily bit into my Lobster Roll that came on what appeared to be a toasted hot dog bun. Here’s where it gets ugly for me. It was ice cold. Now, I know some places such as Maine serves their Lobster Rolls cold and other places in lower New England serve them hot. I would have much preferred it served hot and with hot butter. But considering the epic fail at the other end of the table, I didn’t know if they screwed up and didn’t heat it or it was supposed to be cold. Either way, it wasn’t good and had no real flavoring. In fact the only saving grace was that I dipped the sandwich into my daughters Lobster Bisque, then it tasted good. Oh yeah, that nice Black Manhattan drink that i really wanted another one of? Never got it because I never saw the waitress again. Between the nightmare family next to me and the angry patrons at my table, I just didn’t feel like chasing down the waitress for another drink. But if she had asked, or even had given the olé chin up look from afar that says, «nuther round?» I would have gladly imbibed. No, instead I made an excuse that I needed cigars from next door and hightailed the hell out of there. Handed my wife the credit card and bailed. Horrible experience. Good luck, hope it’s better for you. (the silver lining is I liked the Lobster Bisque)

Here for the summer jazz series! Love what these guys are trying to do but the food is just bloody awful! How do you screw up Calamari? especially at $ 15 a pop for 8 pieces! OMG! We normally eat healthy but heard the food was bad so figured we’d eat fried food to at least have something that was decent tasting! No No. The Fish & Chips were HORRIBLE! Again especially at $ 27. The fast food alternative(Arthur Treachers) would be better at this point! Dude really? How do you screw up fish & chips? Totally would not come here to eat if it were not for the Live Jazz Music! Can’t believe it! Love the music hate the food! Great location right off the beach but wow they really need to solve the problem in the kitchen or they won’t last!
