The Brown Boxer Pub and Grille

The food was great and worth going back for. The waitress was extremely lacking. We went to the bar to refill our drinks. It was clean and the staff friendly. The gator bites were wonderful. The pretzels and beer cheese were amazing. Will definitely go back.

Had their cuban and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Lot’s of TVs so I got my hockey fill while I was down on business. Will definately head back next year.

This little pub is wonderful. Delightful service. Great prices. I had a Perfect fresh medium burger! Absolutely not frozen beef. One of the best burgers I’ve had. If you’re looking for a break from all the local seafood, this is the place for some fresh American faves!

Husband and I walked in around 8:30 on a Tuesday night. Seating is anywhere you choose, our waitress was accommodating at first, very flirtatious, but hey, guess they are working for tips. My husband asked for two different beers which were kicked. I asked for two different wines which were out, all which were on their menu. As the night went on, saw less of our waitress. I had to go out of my way to call her over to ask for water. When she brought the water over, she practically dropped it on our table and took off. Maybe an off night or maybe it was the look I gave her when she kept bending over so we could see down her shirt.

Had the ribs with fries the other night. The worst ribs I ever had. Nothing but greasy fat. Thankfully I only ordered the half rack. The fries looked and tasted like frozen crinkle cut fries that they couldn’t even get crispy. The worst meal I have had in the beach in ten years. The say they the ate pet friendly but I wouldn’t subject my dog to crap like this.
All the server could say was too bad you didn’t like it.

Food was very good, however I left unhappyl. When we sat down, there were 3 local police officers eating lunch next to us. My daughter mentioned that we should buy their lunch, thought that was a great idea, so I found the waitress serving that table. I indicated that I wanted to pay for the officers’ bill, and would like to remain anonymous. To my dismay, the waitress approached the police officers and said that their lunch was on the restaurant and they wanted to «pay it forward». I didn’t want recognition, however I thought it was poor form for the restaurant to take credit.

We went to the Brown Boxer yesterday for my step dad’s birthday. They are snowbirds and so are all of their friends and this is a restaurant close to their complex. My husband and I have been here before at night for drinks and it is a great beach/​sports bar at night.
We arrived a little early and the management already had the tables reserved and put our cake in the fridge.
We had a group of about 16 and one dedicated server who did a wonderful job. Food came out a little slow from the kitchen but everyone was having a good time so it wasn’t that big of a deal.
My mom told us that their wings are good so my husband got the medium wings and I got the jerk. His medium wings were good, my jerk wings were just ok. However, I had some outstanding jerk wings on vacation on the space coast and now every time I try other restaurants’ jerk wings they do not add up. These jerk wings were dry, no sauce. My mom said their soup is always good too, she got the crab bisque and gave me a sample and it was very good.
I would certainly say this is a good place for a group gathering as they have lots of inside seating and some outside seating too and the management took care to make it nice. The next time we go back I am going to try the corned beef egg rolls because they sounded good.

We went here for an early lunch on a very slow Sunday. The service was good — very friendly and attentive. The food was just ok — I got a chicken wrap and while it was good, there was nothing special about it at all. It might have been better if they got my order right. I asked for it on a spinach wrap but got it plain. I was too hungry to send it back, and luckily I had the forethought to ask for a side of ranch to make the dish more interesting. The fries were fantastic… those I would return for. The rest though… just «meh.»

Always Good… when you are serving 1000’s of customers, There will always be the occasional dropped ball or person with unreasonable expectations. The musical talent here is normally really good. for the people that complain… like the other reviewer here — if you wanted Jazz music — you should of gone to a Jazz bar. Don’t be so silly and complain YOU didn’t like the band, when most others did… or that you wanted pizza… when the Boxer is not a Pizza place. Geez! Some of the bad reviews and complaints here are just stupid!

TERRIBLE!!! We went in there it was freezing cold, they had the worst talentless guy pretending to play an acoustic guitar while pumping music from his iPad. Waitress was irritated to have customers and made that very clear. We walked out. I wouldn’t go to the brown boxer or the reef since they have the same owners.

Went there for a business meeting– large group and they handled us beautifully! Service was excellent. Had ribs and they were good. Parking was a little weird but
3 reasons to eat there:
1. In a popular location
2. Laid back atmosphere
3. Great service

We stopped for lunch and had the pulled pork sandwich as well as the chili. The food was tasty, the portion enough and the price reasonable.
Our waitress was very friendly and our orders came very fast.
Lots of screens with all kind of sport events inside.

Sports bar in Clearwater Beach, went there to watch football and eat. Great happy hour with $ 1.75 domestic drafts. Had dinner. The portions were large, the food was good. Only drawback is parking, but that’s a drawback just about everywhere in Clearwater Beach.

Nice location, lots of tvs and atmosphere, but that is about where it ends. We had a pitcher of beer and ordered the fried pickles and grouper nuggets. Usually when you order fried pickles you get a bunch and there is light breading, but not here. There are not many pickles in the appetizer and the breading is not too think but it is thicker than normal. The grouper nuggets were breaded and fried with no seasoning, not even salt and pepper. The pitcher was only $ 8.95. When the server took the empty pitcher away, she didn’t ask if we wanted another. We had to ask her for drinks and refills. Service was subpar. If you just want to have a beer and watch a game, this place will do. But skip on the pickle chips and grouper nuggets.

Not a bad spot to catch a game (lots of tv’s, friendly service) modern sports bar feel. Lots of seating. Food is not bad but it is typical bar food and there is nothing extraordinary about it. Would go back for a drink but probably would eat elsewhere.

Early morning Sunday Bloody Mary, can’t argue with that! Had brunch reservations nearby and got to he beach early. Stopped in at the brown boxer for a drink, or two. Bloody Mary is awesome here. Just enough kick, spice and full of flavor. Our bartender Drew was awesome!

My favorite meal there is the Buffalo Chicken sandwich (hot) & I ask for Blue Cheese crumbles on top. My hubby & daughter always get their house speciality — the fresh hand breaded chicken fingers!
They also have amazing $ 5 weekday lunch specials!

This place is a pretty good restaurant/​bar with nice prices concidering the beach front location. I would say they have a pretty simple menu. Only one burger on it but the burger was really good. Friendly service and great happy hour prices. Definitely a place to check out in the Clearwater beach area.

Been here a few times the major plus is the parking lot right behind the place.
Food is good, I had Greek salad and fresh OJ. The service was slow but I think that is because the server was in training and we were a group of 7 sitting outside with our boxer pup.

It’s a happening place I hear, but when I went on Wednesday it was ¼ full at prime time. Seems like a tourist place. The local spot is up the street and fun. Beer selection was good for the area.
