This is the first time I ordered from here. My husband and I thought this place is fantastic. We really enjoyed the coconut shrimp with the dipping sauce, the shrimps were large, crispy, and not greasy. We’re on the fence about the crab Rangoon, they were not bad bad, but not great either, I think we’ll skip the crab Rangoon next time. We both enjoyed the General Tso’s chicken very much, as well as the pad Thai. This place is a keeper as a go to delivery! Fast, good food, and reasonable prices!

I picked this place because I was in the mood for sushi and this was midway between a friend and me. We actually ate there. This place is really meant for carry out. We were the only people there. The server was the cashier so I don’t recommend for a dining experience.
The sushi however is very good. We split up three different roles and the crab Rangoon. The Rangoon was excellent. Normally you can’t taste crab or they use the fake crab stuff but this was the real thing and the crab was good.
The sushi rolls were very good. I’m not a huge sushi fan and I only go for it once or twice a year. However I would definately go back here. The food was great. Just do it as carry out.

Came here for lunch. They really have decent lunch special prices. I ordered the Mongolian beef w/​miso soup. The food was ok, but didn’t wow me. That’s the reason for the 3 stars.

I was not impressed. We came in close to closing time, but that should be no excuse for less than great service. We were the only ones there. We didn’t get water, we had to ask for it. The girl seemed to be annoyed while taking our order. We ordered a simple chicken dish and a bento box. It was just ok. Maybe it’s the lighting in the place, but it seemed so sad-​the ambiance and the food. Might try it again, but weary.

This is one of those stick with what you like kind of restaurants. My favorites are the bento boxes, yakiniku entrée, and steak and shrimp. Also, their crab ragoon is better (because they have more crab in them) than other places but they’re also incredibly small. Not bad, but not awesome.

I love Ewok. Being a vegetarian, my favorite thing on the menu is the tempura sweet potato roll. Their entrees are really good as well. My husband is a big fan of the Bento boxes, where you get a little of everything. Great service. My favorite thai/​sushi place in the Portage Park area.

I usually order out from this place. If you decide to dine it’s pretty quiet and casual. I have ordered crab rangoon, Long River Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Shrimp Fried Rice everything is good. If your in the area good place to order out or dine in.

Writing this review makes me sad, as I genuinely enjoyed the food the times I’ve ordered from E Wok. However, our order tonight included almonds in the dessert, and no allergens were mentioned on the menu. My wife is allergic to almonds, and we were fortunate enough to get Benadryl into her before we’d have needed to call an ambulance. Food allergies are no joke. They can kill. The item’s description has been updated online, so the next person will be warned.
They refunded the price of the dessert, but such carelessness with something so serious means I cannot recommend E Wok.

Legitimately the best sushi I have found in Chicago. Sure there are pricier places with a more «upscale» dining area, but who wants to trade quality of delicious rolls?!? We tried 4 different rolls and were more than satisfied with each one. Amazing flavor and everything came out super fast.

Halfway nice looking place with Chinese and sushi. The main issue I had with the place is the two entrees I ordered basically had almost no meat on them at all… charge me more if you have to but don’t skimp on the meat.

It’s good but not the best sushi in Chicago. It also happens to be right across the street from my apartment so I generally order from here. I would say best Sushi in Portage Park for sure.
Favorite dishes:
Geisha Roll
Crunchy Spicy Tuna (And I’m super picky about my crunchy spicy tuna because most places seem to either be crunchy or spicy but almost never both and this place gets it right every time)
Sweet Potato tempura
Their deliveries almost always take exactly 40 minutes so take that into consideration when ordering.

This place is amazing. It’s in a different neighborhood than downtown which is nice. Don’t have to compute far to have good sushi. It’s fast and very clean. The food was great. I had crunchy spicy tuna and it was delicious.
The only down side is that they don’t have any music playing. I don’t know if it was only like that when I was there or if it was something that’s always like that. Otherwise, it was perfect and if you eve have a craving for sushi hopefully not as bad as me… Go here.

This spot has a bento box that’s great value for money and I love the vegetarian/​vegan options on the menu. I also had a piece of Saba (my favorite fish) and it wasn’t bad at all. This is a good sushi spot for the neighborhood!
