My family loves this place. Love their shredded beef tacos. Breakfast is also bomb! Super friendly staff

My boyfriend and I loved our food! My veggie omelet was the best I’ve ever had! My boyfriend was surprised by how juicy his steak was and the country potatoes were delicious! A definite must do!

Nearly no wait on a weekend where every breakfast shop is busy. Our waitress was amazing. The food was great. Best chrizo Borrayo I’ve ever had and I grew up in a Hispanic area. Defiantly will come back.

Four of us did not enjoy our meals… Very bland and the place seems dirty. I would not recommend eating here.

Unable to follow simple directions, and requests. Had to ask for coffee refills. Requested seperate checks, recieved 1 check. Had to have them split it. Also got credit card slips, with white out over previous customer numbers. We asked for sourdough toast, got wheat. Only 4th restaurant I have ever given $ 0 tip to. For being a Local in Big Bear, this is an embarrassment, and will not ever return.

This is your typical small town diner. Don’t be deceived by the title of «coffee shop» — if you are looking for something outside of your basic cup of coffee, an Americano for example, this is not the place to go. They only serve(mediocre) coffee, not expresso! The goods: + You get a lot of food so if you are planning to hit the slopes later in the day this is a good place to fill up beforehand(or after!) + The Huevos Rancheros I ordered were good, but short of spectacular. + The hometown feel. The A-OK: +/-I noticed that some of the sides for our party of 5 were incorrect. +/-The coffee was nothing to write home about, especially for a place that calls itself a coffee shop. All in all, I would call this place pretty average. There was nothing here that I had or saw that was outstanding. Alpine Country Coffee Shop just seems like a better, local alternative to Denny’s.

This breakfast place is okay. Nothing extraordinary to it. We waited quite a while to be seated, and when we were offered a table it wasn’t even clean. The host picked up the little scrapes and brushed off the sugar that had been spilled on the table. We decided to sit at the table since we had waited a while anyways. The ambience was cluttered. Too many signs about food instead of keeping it tidy and clean. Although, I have to admit that their bathrooms were clean which is a plus in my book. Our server was friendly and the coffee person that came to refill was very sweet. The food was good. I had chorizo and eggs. My boyfriend got a breakfast burrito. Then we ordered a pie a la mode. Overall, its an alright place. They accept all forms of payment except American Express. So do make note.

I was visiting Big Bear and came across this. I got a burger and fries. It was the best burger I ever had. It was so juicy. I would travel back just for this place.

Called in a take out order for breakfast. Service was nice, food was ready for pickup in 10 minutes. Location is easy to access. Dining area is small so not good for large groups but the hostess was very friendly and food REALLY good. I had the Mexican scramble, and my wife had a short stack with a side of hash browns, all for under $ 20.

Walked in about four tables taken. My group and I sat at the bar, two server ladies helped us, did you know they make their own cinnamon rolls that are really good. Also service was faster than most I am use to a 30 min wait. Food was by far the best in the area when it comes to breakfast, I like that it is Spanish influenced food. I will be a regular here if I wasn’t a visitor to the area yes I recommended this place for breakfast and their sandwiches are buttered on both sides

This little place along Bigbear Boulevard is a fantastic place to fill your belly. We had a party of 12 and they were more than happy to accommodate us in the outside patio dining area. All the food was brought out at the same time and all very hot and fresh I deathly suggest ordering the biscuits and gravy as an appetizer to your breakfast! More than half of our group ordered the machca and eggs and it was delicious!

Stopped in for a late breakfast this morning with 3 other friends. The reviews looked good and anything beats Denny’s. Luckily we were seated quickly, which is about the only positive thing I could say about our experience. We were seated at the counter and were continually ignored the whole time. It took us an hour to get our food. Normally I understand things can take awhile. However I had noticed a couple who were seated after us, had ordered eaten, paid, and left in the time between us ordering and us getting our food. When I asked one of the waitresses what was taking so long we finally got our food 15 minutes later. The food was mediocre at best. Standard greasy dinner food. I had a waffle with scrambled eggs and bacon. My bacon was cold, and the waffle was nothing to write home about. My friends had a similar feeling about their food as well. One of my friends meals came with toast, but they never brought it out. Finally after our meal came we waited another 30 minutes to get our check. The only reason we got it was by us pestering them to bring it to us. All together it was about 2 hours waiting for mediocre at best food. Do yourself a favor, skip this place and go to one of the numerous other diner/coffee shops in Big Bear.

Not impressed at all. Service was terrible, all young teens and not very attentive. Food was okay. But would never go here again.

I took my boys to lunch yesterday. We frequently eat at Alpine’s sister restaurant in Running Springs and always enjoy the food. Unfortunately, I was less than impressed by the cleanliness of Alpine. There was black dirt on the fixtures hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom door and doorway were coated with grime at the edges. The bathroom had graffiti that was not cleaned up. The food was OK, but if the public side of the restaurant was this dirty, I question the cleanliness of the kitchen. I don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.

So you woke-up in Big Bear, you’re hungry and don’t want to have to wait to get food. If that’s the case then this is a good place to go. I stopped-in here for breakfast on a recent weekend morning because one of my other favorite breakfast places was full and I didn’t have time to wait for a table. Stopped-in here on a whim and was happy to see that it wasn’t crowded. I took a seat at the counter and was waited on almost immediately. Food is standard Diner fare. The portions were as I expected them to be and the food tasted good. I’ll be back again!

Very average café restaurant. Lots of menu items including breakfast that’s served all day! Food was ok; not great, not bad. Biscuits and gravy were kind of cold. Portions were pretty large. Prices were decent considering most restaurants in Big Bear are pretty expensive since it’s a tourist destination. We sat outside on the patio which is literally 10 feet from busy Big Bear Boulevard, not as quiet and scenic as I had hoped for. The staff was very polite, but didn’t check on us often. All in all an ok/average experience. I’d come come back. Oh, and you can get a 10% off coupon online.
