I love this place. The prices are great ad the food is even better! They server a veriety of other items besides sushi including fruit, cake, pie and chicken kabob. Because this is a sushi track style restaurant, that means the food is always ready to go so I can easily get in and get my food fast. I especially love the house roll. It’s very simple(egg, rice, crab and cucumber) but it’s bliss. You can easily feed three people for less then $ 30 as well!

This is by far my favorite sushi place. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but there’s practically a sushi place in every strip mall throughout the Beaverton area, but me and everyone I’ve brought here will drive from central Beaverton, bypassing all other sushi spots, just to go eat some Sushi Zen. Despite being track-style sushi, the food is always fresh and the sauces are delicious. The service is always prompt and friendly. The owners are very kind as well.

The sushi isn’t too bad, basic — The calamari is pretty good, but can’t understand why you have to ask for sauce when your order takeout? Customer service is just ok, could be waaay better.

Visit after visit, great fresh food, attentive staff and creative combinations! Certainly the hidden sushi gem in a sea of choices. We found this place over a year ago and for a medium priced place this is as good as it gets. Fun for children with the Pizza Sushi and the PBJ. Definitely worth the price!

The female owner is probably one of the rudest women I have ever met. My husband and I live across the street and came for an early dinner 3 times in the course of a month. We each always have about four plates, maybe 5 if we have dessert. The third time in about two months we went to happy hour. She charged us full price and told us happy hour is only for new customers. Rude, but ok. Mind you we were coming once a week during regular hours for a date night. One night my husband didn’t have a big appetite but went with me to satisfy my craving. He had three plates during non happy hour. The owner stood there for a good two minutes giving my husband shit for not eating more. Really? The sushi is really good but I suggest Sushi Town where everyone is always nice and the sushi is delightful.

This is not worth the visit. Usually room temperature and not tasty at all. I love sushi and have gone here a couple times out of convenience but the service and food are totally lacking. Save yourself a bummy tummy and check out somewhere else!

Hands down the best sushi in town! Amazing service!!! And the cucumber roll for those of you watching your carbs(or not) is perfect!!! Prices are excellent and this location is easy to get to! Can’t wait to return!

I was a regular customer at this location, primarily due to its convenience, but I cannot handle the female owner anymore. She is consistently rude when I receive my take-out order. On multiple occasions, she’s said«extra soy sauce? that’s not healthy!» or «You don’t need more spicy mayo for your meal». Recently, she tried to charge me extra for the smallest spicy mayo packet I’ve seen in my life. REALLY? CONDIMENTSSHOULDNOTCOSTEXTRA — especially when it’s SOYSAUCE at a sushi place. She has pushed us over the edge. Her attitude and unsatisfactory sushi will not be a part of my life anymore. GOODRIDDANCE!

Pretty much the only«sushi-belt» I’ll go to. Food is decent and the staff is friendly(owners in particular). It has it’s own charm, don’t let it’s «strip-mall-hole-in-the-wall» vibe deter you.

I have worked next to this restaurant for over 3 years and have until today never had lunch here. Why? I have no idea. I’m not the biggest sushi fan, but sometimes I do have a craving. I ordered 2 asparagus plates, 1 spicy salmon plate, and a cucumber salad. It was delicious and much healthier and cheaper(6.50+tip) than most of the other restaurants in this shopping mall. I’ll definitely be choosing them for lunch a lot more often.

Our family has been going to Sushi Zen for 5 years now. The owners are wonderful people and their food is always fresh and delicious. They greet you as you come through the door and make you feel very comfortable. If you don’t see what you want on the moving track, all you have to do is ask. Their staff is always friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Sushi Zen to everybody.

I had 3 plates from the conveyer… Mussels, sea urchin, and flying fish roe. All were very good! Cold, fresh, and the whole time I was there I saw a steady stream of customers coming in. Plus the owner came out to check on things, and he smiled and waved to everybody. Oh and my bill was only $ 8.50! Thats awesome!

I try to keep my reviews balanced — five stars are reserved for only outstanding experiences, and there has to be something really bad to give only a single star. That said, our experience at Sushi Zen had too many issues, and I really can’t recommend this business to anyone. Let me start with the positive: * We were seated quickly(though it was after the lunch rush) * The guy making our rolls was very friendly and delivered finished rolls quickly * Overall the rolls we had were fresh and tasted alright — by no means the best I’ve ever had, but there was no problem with flavor Given the above, a low rating may seem out of place. However, I can only speculate that the many positive reviews are a result of few choices for sushi in the area, convenience to other businesses(note the adorable letter of appreciation from the Walgreen’s staff pinned up on the wall) or expectations that are dramatically different from my own. Here were the areas of concern that impacted my rating: * Table service was not very attentive, though there were not many people dining — thankfully we were taken care of by the man prepping rolls. Tables also weren’t stocked very well with soy sauce, ginger, etc. * Sushi on track wasn’t being moved; there was a very limited selection going around with what seemed to be a lot of wasted plates including mayo, sauces and shellfish — not the things you want to eat after they’ve gone around for the 6th time. Granted we usually order some rolls in this situation(we’re vegan so tend to eat the more simple options), there still weren’t basics to be found(customers next to us were ordering a lot of things that you’d normally expect to see like edamame). * Cleanliness was highly questionable, including the table, general dining area and above all bathrooms. Dingy or grungy isn’t a huge deal for me, but I definitely wasn’t going to touch anything in the restroom. * There was some confusion when ordering. For example, we might normally ask for«3 cucumber» and expect to get three individual plates(with 4 uramaki pieces or 6 – 8 maki pieces). However, it seemed if we were ordering it was by the«roll,» which ended up being equivalent to three plates. Had we not been asked, we would have ended up with way too much food. Even still, the uramaki rolls were wrapped very tightly, and for the cost you’ll find even veggie rolls that are far more substantial at other establishments. For 4 uramaki rolls(9 small pieces each), an order of inari(2 pieces), an order of seaweed salad(2 pieces) and two soft drinks the total was $ 25. At another track chain we like you’d get a lot more for that total. * When we went to pay our bill, the waiter apologized and said the battery in their card reader had died and asked if we could pay with cash or check. We hardly ever have cash, and certainly don’t carry checks. I asked if they were informing customers before they sat down that they couldn’t accept cards, the waiter said they were … which was clearly untrue. Even worse were the recommended solutions: go to the nearby RiteAid or Safeway and purchase something and then get cash back … so essentially buy something I don’t need in order to get cash to pay. Luckily the RiteAid has an OnPoint ATM on premise, so I was able to step out and get some cash(more than I needed though) and come back to pay. The whole situation was really off putting and unprofessional. So all said and done, even though the food was acceptable, there were way to many drawbacks. We definitely won’t be back.

I think this is a great value sushi place! You can order whole or half rolls(we did all half rolls so we could have more variety, but they were plenty big), and then on top of the rolls there is the conveyor belt going around with plates to choose. The host/server was kind and welcoming, and the sushi chef worked quickly! I’m happy to recommend this place to anyone.

Really wonderful staff! They checked in with us a lot, the owner said hello as well. Excellent rolls: we ordered the Monster, Jungle, Asparagus, Crunch Dragon, and the Spicy Scallop. Plus an edamame and a beer or two. Loved the quality of the meat and the friendly service! Update: the total was $ 34.15, a little pricey, esp considering 3 of them were half rolls.

This place is no good. Rice and fish portions in all sushi are about 50% what you would get at any average conveyor belt sushi. The tamago was paper thin… c’mon now! I hate places trying to be cheap… you won’t get repeat business. For fast food sushi, Marinepolis still dominates. To put it in perspective, other than the owners, I was the only Asian in the entire restaurant and it was packed.
