This place is a little on the spendier side but it’s totally worth it. I’ve only been here once, but it’s so great the food is creative but not over the top weird. Still has that authentic Japanese flavor I like.

Don’t let the strip mall location fool you. Very good service and very good food. I highly recommend the mussels and salmon skin hand roll. Tip: Celebrate your birthday here!

I don’t know what the hype is. I love the décor and the staff is very friendly but I’m just reviewing on food and they is just too much going on with the specialty rolls. You don’t even taste the seafood anymore when they drench everything with sauce and unnecessary toppings. Trust me, I love creativity. But sometimes less is better. Especially with sushi. It’s a pass for me. There’s other places I rather go.

Sat there for 15 minutes browsing their menu. No one asked if we had any questions or even offered water. There were maybe 4 other parties in there and staff standing around. I’m not sure if they just assumed we were ok but if you don’t ask you won’t know and in this case lose a customer.

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s my go to sushi spot in Beaverton. Staff is super friendly, sushi is delicious, and they have good happy hour specials as well.

Still amazing! The menu is always so frustrating becauae everything looks so amazing. Today I strayed from my usual sushi only ordering and got the Shoyu Ramen(and ate the whole thing, which is usually hard for me to do), it was so good. My boyfriend ordered the 503 roll on special and was a great combination of spicy tuna and shrimp tempura, the salmon on top was a great touch to regular spicy tuna rolls. The eel roll was a good value as well, four very large pieces of delectable eel for only four dollars. I’m definitely going to come back to try some of the korean dishes, like kim chi. The drinks are also enticing and I would like to try the lychee saketini. All in all, everything was amazing and I’m still impressed. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the steep prices on sashimi– but honestly, there are so many menu options, I didn’t mind a change in routine. This place is great.

One of the best places I’ve had here in Oregon. This location I was skeptical at first but damn well done! Service was good too. I seriously don’t know why people go to Saburos for their shitty service, automatic gratuity and average food. I drove 40 mins to eat here and I am highly satisfied.

One of our favorite places for sushi in Beaverton! Whenever we go there the fish is always fresh and the people working there are always nice! Korean owners though, but they seem to know what they are doing(and if you are in the mood you can order some korean food too if you feel in the mood for that). Can’t vouch for much else on the menu(because I just can’t convince myself to fill my stomach with anything else when there is good sushi involved) but based on how busy the place is I don’t think you will be disappointed! If you eat there enough you can earn Shoten bucks($ 1 for every $ 20 spent). If you eat sushi, 2 people could easily rack them up! As another side note, I heard there is a special chef’s choice menu for a flat fee… haven’t done it so don’t quote me on it.

They have great lunch specials. I ordered a bento box and switched out my Cali Roll for spicy tuna. I had spicy pork, mixed tempura and the spicy tuna, all good. They give you a big bowl or rice and miso soup as well. Definitely enough lunch.

We are stuck in the burbs till November, and this place is so great! It makes us forget that we aren’t in the city. It’s walk able from our apartment, and they have a great Happy Hour Mon-Thurs. Everyone that works at Shoten is really friendly and they are always playing great 80s music on the radio. My husband also appreciates sportscenter on the tvs — so he can watch the game if it’s on. I have gotten the chirashi bowl three times now and I love it more and more each time. All the rolls are delicious too — and the hamachi kama: REALLYYUMMY!!! If you are in Beaverton, check out this neighborhood gem. It looks like it’s great for families… and definitely great for HH too.

I love this place. There is so much variety and a bunch of cool things on the menu. It’s all fresh and different. I love eating here. Tonight I had poke salad, one of the super spicy tuna rolls(tuna on fire) and some spicy calamari that wasn’t deep fried. My daughter had a bento box — it was in a fun double decker box. We will keep coming back to try new things. You’ll find old favorites and new things to piqué your interest. Staff is friendly and helpful. Have mango Moshi for dessert!

Been here a few times before tonight, mostly for bento or rolls. Had an opportunity for ½ of a tiger roll for free through their VIP club so I went for a fun splurge. In addition to the freebie, I ordered the halibut sashimi for $ 14 and the edamame for $ 3.50. Holy halibut! The sashimi was so decedent and delicious, best I have ever had! Ever bite melted in my mouth. Pretty sure I will become a regular now. I have never been disappointed!

Wow! I was blown away by this Resturant! Amazing service and ambiance! Complimentary oranges and edamame! Food came out quickly! Food was extremely amazing ! I can’t wait to go back to this place and try them out for happy hour ! Staff is accommodating and friendly! Oh yeah If you sign up for their text messaging list you’ll get a complimentary«monkey brains» sushi. Eh it was okay. I wouldn’t order that again.

Best sushi I’ve had in Portland area yet!!! Very friendly and a nice atmosphere. Rolls are lager than expected and very well thought out. All garnished well. Ample wasabi and ginger. Creative combinations. Everything we ordered was excellent.

The service here is absolutely wonderful. They are sweet and attentive and quick! Waters stayed filled, good is ordered quickly, and it also comes very quickly. I’ve been here many times! My favorites are their choices for Donburi, the one I had my last time going was the Tuna, and it was amazing(especially if your a fan of sashimi). We also always get the gyoza and the yam tempura appetizers, along with a sweeter sake(we normally buy the smaller bottle choice). Lastly their deep fried cheesecake is a fabulous finisher, as is the sour orange cut into a panda that they offer instead of mints or fortune cookies. Still hits the sweet spot but is a bit healthier a choice. The prices are fair and fabulous and perfect for spoiling ourselves on a regular basis… their sashimi dishes and raw dishes are a bit more on the pricey side, but that seems the norm for good Japanese food. They also have an enormous menu to choose from. The only dish I didn’t like was their ramen, but I’ve also been spoiled by legitimate ramen shops on a regular basis. Last but not least the atmosphere is wonderful. they normally have the latest game on their tvs and a wall of 80s record cases that is fun to look at. Its warm, bright and inviting. The only improvement I could see is maybe adding karaōke maybe for the later hours since they do have those giant tvs. The food and sake would pair perfectly with it.

This restaurant is definitely convenient to get to and it will not disappoint, meaning you will not get bad service or horrible food. We had 6 adults and 3 children when we visited and the wait staff accommodated us perfectly. The service was prompt and courteous. However, the food I would say is not bad but not memorable. That is why I am giving an 3 star review. It is not one of those places that I will frequent, but I will if I have a big party since I know they can support the bigger party. Like I said, the food is not horrible but not exceptional either. It is average and I have no complaints about it. I just don’t think it is something that you are going to walk in and say«WOWTHISISDELICIOUS!» type of restaurant.

This casual sushi spot is good if you happen to live or work in the area. They have some unique rolls. If you’re a sushi purist and looking for the freshest and highest quality, this may not be the spot for you. I tried a couple of the recommended specialty rolls(peppered tuna and the heart attack), salmon carpaccio, hamachi kama, spicy chicken yakisoba, and we also got a complimentary monkey balls appetizer. The two rolls and the yakisoba were pretty good.

I had a really lovely dinner here with a friend. We had miso soup, edamame, chicken meatballs on a skewer, tempura squid, Washington roll(crab, salmon, avocado), citrus salmon sashimi, and gyoza. Almost everything was wonderful(more on that in a minute). The atmosphere is inviting and the service was very good. They brought us a complimentary treat at the end of our meal. Charming. Only two drawbacks 1: Their«iced tea unsweetened» turned out to be Gold Peak iced tea in a plastic bottle. Yuk. I think the menu should say«bottled tea». 2: the chicken«meatball“on a skewer was a brick of ground chicken. It was rather tasteless and not at all what we expected. I expected round delicious, savory chicken meatballs. It was just a little weird. Dinner set us back about $ 48 plus gratuity. It was a delightful meal and I will be back. There were several families there enjoying noodles and small plates. Im sure my own kiddo wil enjoy it too. Its a nice little place in my hood. Sweet!

There are three things that stick out for me for this restaurant. One: the decorations are cute. When you walk in, you are greeted by a peaceful, potted water fountain and a model of what looks like a part of a Japanese garden. The service is somewhat slow, but they are friendly. When you ask for the check, they usually bring a Mickey Mouse ish cut orange for dessert. They also give shoten bucks for your next meal! Two: the ramen was pretty good. All I could think of when I ate it, was that it’s definitely better than Toshi’s on 185th and baseline. The broth wasn’t bland and had a savory taste to it. There were, however, more bean sprouts than noodles. My noodles were stuck together and I think if they had put corn in, it would’ve been a bit better. Nonetheless, a good bowl of ramen for being close to where I am. Three: I had tried 4 sushi rolls — 3 of which were not bad. I don’t remember the names, but I do remember the one I absolutely will never order again here. The volcano roll. What could be wrong, you ask? First of all, I thought I was playing it safe to order this because it’s a baked roll w baked scallops, right? WRONG. I feel like this roll was under baked. The scallops were too squishy and the sauce was too milk watery. It made me want to vomit. I would not recommend ordering this — but if you dare, make sure it’s fully baked, ok?
