Del Taco

I tend to get into food ruts. When something works for me, I will eat it frequently, until I am burned out. Yes, I can eat the same thing for days at a time so I do not have to think about alternate restaurant choices. That being said, I have visited this particular location many times, as I live very close by. I have debated about posting this thinking that maybe I was just grumpy and I should let «kids» have fun (I’m only in my forties, so not too much of a grumpy old lady yet). It is a few days now since my last visit and I am still just as annoyed about my experience. The young lady who took my order at the Drive Thru began laughing so hard towards the end of repeating my order back and was unable to ever compose herself to let me know the amount of my order. (I didn’t need it anyway, as it was the same as always.) She clearly was unable to pull it together by the time I got to the window. Another young lady, WHO HAS SEEN ME MANY TIMES, ended up collecting my money and handing me my order. I attempted to make light of it and said, «you guys are having way too much fun at work today». I was smiling and trying to joke around when I said it. The young lady NEVER cracked a smile back. Quite to the contrary, she looked annoyed. I am not sure if she was irritated that I referenced it or if I was on the receiving end of the irritation she felt toward her coworker. Either way, it was a terrible way to treat any customer, especially one you have seen multiple times and should encourage to continue as a satisfied customer. I understand it is Del Taco and not Ritz Carlton. It is still a service industry and the service I received was absolutely unacceptable. Considering there are multiple restaurant choices in the same shopping center, including a Taco Bell at the other end, I will take my food rut habits elsewhere from now on. I do not need to spend my money at a business with such unprofessional and rude behavior.
For the record, this is a third strike… I have had similar, unprofessional exchanges. This is the one that sealed the deal for me and therefore I will take my business to Taco Bell, El Pollo Loco, Sharky’s or if I want Del Taco that bad, I will drive out of my way to another location.

Yesterday was the second time I have eaten there in a month (I don’t normally like del taco at all but in a pinch it fills your belly) I have gotten food poisoning now for the second time ! It has to be what I ate there! I will be calling the health department Monday !

The best! great for kids/​food on the run– they always get my complicated orders right– price is good too-​great drive thru employees — I cant imagine how hard they have to work– its always busy here– yet they are always smiling.

This goes along with the picture of the locked doors… Well this was the most interesting experience I have ever had at ANY fast food restaurant. My wife, friend and I tried walking in at 6:30pm but the doors were locked. We tried all doors and all were locked. We saw a few people inside eating at the tables so we knew it was open (also there was a drive through line and oh yeah, IT’S 6:30PM!). As we all stood outside perplexed why the doors were locked, a customer was walking out of the store and we walked in. We walk up to the counter and were greeted by the employees with very odd stares and no intention on helping us at all. They seemed frantic so I gave them a few minutes before I had to say «ok we are ready» which I got no answer. I said it again and one employee said «wait». I could continue this odd story but I’m getting more frustrated as I continue. Let’s just say one employee went so far as to tie plastic bags around the doors so no one would open them back up for more people to enter… oh and yes this all was WHILE we were still in the store. Ahem, fire hazard??? Am I being taken hostage??? See pictures for much proof. How does a business think this is even remotely acceptable? I hope the manager and employees see this to know how dangerous and unacceptable locking customers inside a store is. Oh and there were children present too. Not ok Del Taco. Not ok at all

The young woman who was at the drive through window Monday night was so sweet and courteous. She is a newer employee I believe, I have never seen her before. She displayed fabulous customer service skills! I didn’t catch her name :/​but she was blonde I think. Great job :)

My husband ordered his tacos with no lettuce and she repeated it back to him,(but she didn’t code it for the receipt) so they all had lettuce. I ordered 2 burritos for $ 5 but she charged me $ 3.19 each. Then we ordered plain nachos with the cheese on the side. We got macho nachos. You should NOT have cashier’s taking orders who don’t bother to listen. Plus you charged us WAY more than we should have been. We’ll choose another location from now on.

sub par fast food, lukewarm fries check the burger meat they tend to under cook it (very risky) specially if there is a line at the drive thru, the chicken tacos al carbon are pretty decent, carnitas fries are good when available.

I come here all the time and everyone is rude but time Nami was so pleasant over the intercom. Then when I went to the drive thru she asked about what hot sauce. They messed up my order in the past but she got it right. Finally Del Taco got a great employee please keep her.

Used to work here for 6 months. As well as the illegal drug use and drinking on the job, the food is horrible and everyone is rude. I quit after getting tired of all the crap I had to put up with. Employees don’t know what they’re doing anymore and the teens outside smoking all the time kill the vibe. Pretty much ruined my outlook on jobs and the working class

There is hair in the french fries. Staff not concerned.
I was compensated with an even larger amount of fries with unknown quantity of hair.

WORST Del Taco I have EVER been to. Every single time I have come to this Del Taco, the customer service is AWFUL. They are always extremely rude to the customers that come in and act as if they have better things to do than take our order. The service is incredibly slow. Every time I have come here they have completely messed up my order only because they won’t give me the time of day to LISTEN to my order. I will NEVER come to this Del Taco again because I’m sick of my order being messed up EVERY TIME. I would not recommend this «fast» food place to anyone. This restaurant doesn’t even deserve a one star review.

Stood there waiting to get greeted or perhaps even an order taken. I was not acknowledged by not one of the four plus employees there. When someone finally came to take my order, she was rude. On top of that the «shift lead» was eating food while wrapping up my tacos! How unprofessional and unsanitary. Left very upset and disgusted. Staff needs training or replacing.

This place used to have really good customer service. Now they have a bunch of younger teens working here who are lazy, constantly gossiping while you’re trying to pay, forget your food, or give the person I front of you your food and when you pull up you’ve got to wait longer. And forget about the hot sauce lol. They give you 3 for three bags of food.

Worst customer service I have ever encountered in a drive through. And the said thing is the managers allow them to be very disrespectful to customers. I will not ever eat here again. The manager Sergio allows this type of behavior and looks like he encourages it. I would not give this place one star but had to. If your so unhappy with your job go to school and get an education point blank.

This is by far the worst Del Taco. Stale and hastily prepared food three times in a row. I’m done with this place. Management should be fired!

Hate this location. The staff is always pissed off for some reason. I don’t understand the high and mighty attitude. Tried to call the store number numerous times but it’s a fax number.
Too many high school thugs smoke outside. Why should I get lung cancer as I make a drive thru order?

I live across the street and I know this place well. The seating area is gross. Spiders in the window corner flies and every single table was dirty. Food is not good and the last time I went through the drive thru I gave a young kid four dollars in change and he put it in the drawer then accused me in front of my 2 kids I didn’t give him four dollars then got mad and said he couldn’t take it and walked away. He also had big bloody scraps all over his forearms and finally another girl came over gave me my food and I avoid this place unless I have no choice or my kids want something here.

they gave me FOOD POISONING — need I say more? their one job is to make safe and delicious food, get it together Del Taco. Don’t be nasty.

I’m actually very sad to be writing this review because I come here all the time and I always get great service and food.
This is also a unique case because I asked my roommate to get me my food since my boyfriend was using my car.
So I wrote down on a post-​it:
1. Carnitas Loaded Fries
2. Mini Bacon Quesadilla
3. 2 Classic Grilled Chicken Tacos
4. Churro
So I gave that to my roommate and he went out to grab my food. (Oh by the way, he rides a motorcycle so I couldn’t go with him). And he came back, and gave me my food and asked me if the food was right. Well… no. I got a box of Chili Cheese Nachos, 2 Beef Hard-​Shell Tacos, a Mini Bacon Quesadilla, and a Churro. Half of my order was wrong, and it pretty much ruined my evening.
Now I’m not a picky person and I ate the food (since my roommate was not going to go back — plus it was raining), but I’m just disappointed. My roommate said the right things (except the tacos — on the receipt it showed «Classic Taco,» and Carnitas Loaded Fries were even listed on the receipt, and yet, I didn’t get it… So sad.

The person in the drive thru refused to honor a deal that they had signage for all around the restaurant for. And then refused to give the managers name after she said the manager will not honor that special.
The girl sounded high while working and trying to take orders over the intercom. She said that there was no manager working either! You leave the crazies in charge of the asylum here I guess! I get this is fast food and you get what your pay for but someone needs to know what’s going on at this site!
And trust me I tried to call before I posted this but after 3 attempts and now answer I decided to post!
