«Bummer»…I guess it’s back to Temucula or Morongo Casino for this AWESOME burger with chili n cheese!

Wanted to try this place, but restaurant was closed. Sign had been removed from exterior.

I love this place, always good, hot, fresh and super friendly staff. The only thing is the price, but you pay for fresh and service.

I had not been here for a few years and only came here because I thought I’d get the same quality and friendly service.
boy was I wrong! rebel teenage cashier seemed like he would rather be anywhere but there… no friendly greet, no smile and not really saying much to may customers feel welcome… i literally thought i had walked in on him as they were closing and he was upset to have to serve another person. okay maybe the poor kid is having a bad day, but it was 8pm and the place was empty, so not sure what the problem was.
ordered and waited for the food to be prepared. the food preparer was very sloppy with the assembly and only when she saw me staring at her from the counter did she actually begin handling the food with some level of respect.
i’ll probably avoid this place for a very very long time. i wasn’t too happy with the food as something was off… perhaps quality of the meat was poor or the way it was assembled was just amateur. at any rate, it filled me up but that’s all the positive i have to say about it.

Fatburger has always been a go to stop to grab a burger in Aliso Viejo town center. The food is made to order and always fresh! They also sponsor and support local high schools. Recently it seems like everyone is hating on Fatburger ! I think if they remodeled the inside they will gain back their old costumers. 4 stars because the inside needs to be remodeled

This place never gets mentioned along with the usual suspects of so cal burger joints (you know the ones i mean, right?)… but they should. They are not insanely over-​priced, but they aren’t, In N Out cheap either. I like all of the options they have here for add-​ons and they have good space outside to eat and for your kids to run around in while you finish what they didn’t finish on their plate. :)

I’ve been a Fatburger customer for years– Usually its one of the few options open for late night dining. I like that you can pick how you want it cooked, charred or fried, basically you get to customize it anyway you like it. That makes up for the so-​so ingredients. The burger patty itself seemed like a fast food quality, nothing more. Fat burger claims to be the Last Great Hamburger stand. I think they are stretching the truth a little on this one.

It was 100 outside! Inside FATBURGER it must have been 95! Ordered & decided to sit outside on the patio. Went to get drink, no ice from the machine! The girl took a bucket next door to get ice & put a cup in the bucket so customers could «spoon» their ice! Asked for my money back & left! Horrible!

This place is honestly not worth the price. The medium burger costs 5 bucks alone and has no cheese. When I got it, I was so disappointed. It was so «skinny». I thought a fat burger was suppose to be fat. I understand that the meat is what it’s supposed to be but c’mon guys!!! Can’t you give a LITTLE more lettuce? It’s not gonna kill ya to add a little more lettuce or tomatoes to make it look more appetizing. I honestly didn’t even wanna eat it cause it didn’t even look that good. An In-​N-​Out double double costs less, looks better and tastes a lot better! Plus, at In-​N-​Out, you can ask for extra everything, no charge (except cheese, of course) but it at least includes cheese.
Honestly I was very disappointed. When I ate it, it tasted so dry! When I read on one f their posters that it says it’s okay to lick our fingers. well I had nothing to lick but the grease because the burger was so dry. Not even exaggerating. The burger itself had nothing special to it.
The chili cheese fries came in such a small portion for 5 bucks… I was like wth. It’s not like I’m at the airport right now. It shouldn’t cost so much. It literally came with like 10 or less fries and some chili and cheese.
Not gonna be coming back unless I had to.

I haven’t been here in at least 8 – 10 years. There’s so many amazing burger joints nowadays, but for whatever reason we chose Fatburger.
The flavor of the burger REALLY throws me off. It’s too cinnamony! It ruins the burger. One of the best parts of burgers (in my opinion) is having a good ranch to pair up. I think they use Heinz ranch, which is disgusting. They also don’t have a typical condiment bar– they only offer a ketchup dispenser. I get it, they’re trying to keep it «classic,» but with all the recent burger joint competition you need to step up your game.
The best part of the restaurant is their outdoor seating for people watching. We won’t be back anytime soon.

Was craving a burger and I was in the shopping center so I thought I’d give them a try. Note: this shopping center also has a Habit and a Smashburger so there is no short supply of burgers. This location has plenty of indoor seating and a couple TVs as well as a small patio… very clean inside and everyone was friendly enough.
The menu is fairly basic but they do have turkey and chicken and some interesting sauces you can add on, so that’s a plus. They also have additions like chili, fried egg, avocado guacamole, mushrooms, etc. I ordered a small cheeseburger (they come in S, M, L, XXL and XXXL) and asked if they could wrap it in lettuce instead of having a bun, but they only have shredded lettuce so they said they could just put the burger on top of lettuce… sure, why not.
I think my burger came out to like $ 5.00ish and once I got it, I think that was pretty overpriced for the size of the patty. It took FOREVER to get it, especially for it being so slow. I would say I waited close to 15 minutes and only one person ordered in front of me. I basically got a handful of shredded lettuce, my burger patty and cheese, a tomato, onion and some BBQ sauce I ordered on the side. Completely lackluster and the burger patty was flavorless and greasy.
I wouldn’t return here for a cheeseburger, but maybe some of their other options are better? Definitely don’t bother coming here if you want a lettuce-​wrapped/​protein style/​gluten-​free burger option, you will be disappointed and still hungry.

I love anything with pineapple so I ordered the Hawaiian teriyaki chicken burger,
But it was terrible, chicken not cooked well every bite i had the feeling the whole patty would come off!!! The rest of the party were okay with what they ordered, in the photo i guess shows how big their fat burger is, good luck finishing that!!!

Love this place. Turkey burger and skinny fries. You gotta try it.

This is my first time tried fat burger. I add extra cheeses and egg. The food is not bad. Everything is fresh. It’s not wroth for 5 dollar burger. I will choose in&out burger.

The buns are not soft enough, they have some of that «institutional food supplier» quality that I absolutely abhor. Can’t you guys take a hint from In-​N-​Out? The meat is just okay. On the larger burgers (XL and XXL) I find that the thick patties seem to be overcooked and dry, which really hurt the taste.
The condiments are the exception here… excellent variety, choices, and taste. Onion rings are great, fries are okay, and at this particular location, I notice that the service has been excellent as of late… looks like competition from Smashburger and The Habit is helping!

We came to town center for watching a movie and had time to kill. While strolling by hubby was hungry and came across Fatburger. They honor movie tickets for discounts and got attracted with their healthy meal option. Ordered turkey burger and fat fries to go with it. Fries were yummy and were gone in an instant. Burger was huge and very filling.

Been here many times and I would usually order a regular Fatburger. This time I used my bogo coupon with a coworker for a Turkey burger. Man, this was tasty! It was like no ordinary fast food turkey burger. Nice seasoning paired with the fresh toppings made this one yummy bird. At one point I was wondering if it was beef…
Fat fries are always a disappointment. Maybe next time I’ll remember to ask them to crisp them up more since the middles are usually on the raw side.

When I checked in here Friday night (on Foursquare) it told me I had not been to Fatburger since two years ago. Seems about right.
I had an Entertainment coupon for Buy One Get One Turkey Burgers. We ordered the combo, with steak fries. The fries were ok, I was bummed I didnt get the onion rings after I saw someone else have them. They looked good!
The turkey burgers were really flat — and the burgers just looked plain, small, flat and unappetizing. SkinnyBurger was what it felt and looked like.
I remember them being much larger… and this wasnt just because we ordered the turkey — everyones burgers looked really small. I dont remember them being like that… and I used to frequent FatBurger a few years ago.
I dont think I will rush back.

Not as good as Smash Burger (just across the street). Hit and miss. The employees either are really good or really bad. Food is either amazing or ice cold.
Update: the last three visits has been perfect! Thus I updated my rating to 4 stars. Maybe the competition of Smash Burger and The Habit, both within walking distance, is making this old standby better and better.

Ok I’ll be honest… I’ve noticed this place since I moved to Aliso and avoided it solely based on the name. I really wish I wouldn’t have because they’ve got a great burger! The burgers here are really juicy and for any of you former East Coasters/​Midwesterners out there, the burger has a striking resemblance to that of Steak N Shake’s burger. Their fat fries are also AWESOME. For sure get past the name and treat yourself to this burger.
