Tried a burger and shake. Burger was not very flavorful. Shake was milky, not thick, more like what Singaporeans call a shake, and not very tasty. I might try the chicken sandwich next time. I am not impressed with this place.

Service is not very friendly, burgers are ok but very greasy, fries are so-so. Overall, a disappointment considering a relatively high price in a food court.

Alright. So I went Triple-O’s for late lunch. I ordered the Chicken Supreme Burger Combo and topped an extra dollar to have poutine instead of fries. I’m not a fan of having veggies and mayo in my burger, but this, this honey mustard mayo rocked. It didn’t even tasted like mayo(all thanks to having honey mustard in it)! The chicken was tender, and the lettuce and tomato pieces were SWEET! Totally enjoyed my burger! What about the poutine? I must say I may have a slightly bias opinion about it the fact that I’ve tasted delicious poutine during my stay in Montréal, this one from Triple-O’s is very much disappointing. Fries was a little hard, and there wasn’t much cheese on it(grrrr). I was hoping for an overdose of cheese and gravy!!! Speaking about the gravy, I was quite happy with it, but it tasted very much like the mashed potato gravy we have in the 7 – 11 outlets. Did I mention the guy behind he counter is super cute? :D

Decent burger joint, a good option for lunch if you work in CBD. The burgers are pretty massive, so don’t expect to have a productive afternoon after eating here. Service is fast, and so far I’ve never had to face a long queue here, even during the height of lunch hour. They do this strange thing with the pickles, where they place a cross-sectional slice and just lay it across the top of the bun… on the outside of the burger. I have no idea why they do this, and it’s certainly not critical to this review, but it’s been bugging me for a while so I figured I may as well mention it. My favorite item here is actually not a burger, but the chicken chipotle sandwich, which is a deep-fried chicken breast with cheese and a spicy chipotle barbecue sauce. I usually substitute onion rings for fries, under the reasoning that they’re sort of vegetables and lower in carbs, but I end up in a coma all afternoon anyway.

Burgers at Triple O’s have won awards in Hong Kong, Bangkok and Canada. When I first heard about it, I was most excited to try it. Once I found my way to the new Asia Swuare, it was easy to find. Located inside the food court, there wasn’t much of an ambience, but it was pleasant and well lit, so the experience was not uncomfortable despite the high volume of human traffic passing through. The food was served up very quickly despite the long line out front, within 10 minutes or so. Excellent service, friendly staff who were helpful with their recommendations. I did not expect the burger to be so superb — indeed it surpassed all my expectations. The fresh beef patty was juicy and succulent, served with very fresh, crisp vegetables, an entire slice of pickle on the side, and a generous amount of sauce and cheese. Even the buns were fluffy and nicely toasted. I especially liked that I was given the option to change my fries to sweet potatoes fries instead, a delicious and somewhat healthier choice for those who are watching their carbs. Triple-O’s also has a happy hour for the Shenton Way crowd, so I chose a beer and fries combo upgrade by topping up a mere $ 6 for a refreshing cold beer to enjoy with my burger. Happiness in my belly. :)
