I love the daily scoop. The customer service is great and the ice cream flavors are as creative as they are delicious. I have very fond memories of this place because my husband rented it out so that we could have an informal«wedding celebration» with our friends here in Singapore since we had our formal wedding in the US. The staff was fun, hospitable, and super helpful. I always love going to any of the locations. Trying to find a place to sit can be a drag, but I’ve never regretted going regardless of how much I had to wait on the queue or wait for a seat. But it’s nicer when there aren’t as many people so you can try out more flavors. If you get nervous on the queue, then here are some recommendations: all of their chocolate flavours are good, avocado is great, earl grey is light(and tastes just like the tea), and surprisingly the maple crisp is good. I don’t like overly sweet things, but the maple crisp is a good balance!

I like this outlet for the wide range of ice cream available here. I was not too impressed with the Sunset Way outlet(original) from many years ago as I did not think the flavors were anything special, and the location was quite far out if you do not drive or live in the area. I was surprised by the many choices here and they are not the typical run of the mill type. Speculoos ice cream? Avocado? There were so many options that I felt bad asking for a sample of flavors new to me. Luckily the staff was cheerful and understanding and never once made me feel like I was wasting her time. I do love the avocado ice cream which has a creamy avocado taste with a subtle sweetness to it. The maple crisp is a close second. It has real maple syrup, none of those fake thing. If you are a durian lover, you will like mao shan wang durian ice cream. Be warned it does smell of durian. The ice cream is kept away from the rest of the flavors so that the smell will not contaminate the others. The coconut ice cream is ok to me. I think I just prefer the version at Chatterbox for coconut ice cream. The strawberry shortcake is not bad, but I think just plain strawberry will be better as the shortcake is quite dry in it. I also like how the bowl is chilled so your ice cream will remain cold. It helps that they allow you to buy 2 junior scoops too so you can try more flavors. The regular scoop is quite big. Besides ice cream, they also serve waffles. I will be back for more avocado ice cream. That is a winner to me.

We came here on a Saturday night at dinnertime, and it was half-empty, expectedly. I really like The Daily Scoop’s ice cream, but I am giving it only three stars for this branch because I like my ice cream in cones, and at other branches, they have plain cones, but here, they only have their chocolate cone which I do not like! The chocolate used to dip the cones in are way too dark, so much so that the bitterness rubs off the ice cream. Not every flavor goes well with dark chocolate anyway. I reluctantly had mine in a cup. I do LOVE their coconut ice cream, although I was sorely tempted to give Honey Vanilla a shot. Standards are maintained, ice cream here is the same as their other branches.
