So I finally joined the queue to see what’s up! This Llao Llao always has a long queue. It’s right next to the taxi stand at Plaza Singapura facing the car park and the queue for Llao Llao is usually longer than the queue for the car park!!! I decided to try their Sanum. At $ 6.50, you pick a crunch, 3 fruits and one sauce. So I picked Muesli + kiwi + strawberries + mango + wild berries sauce. Do look through what crunch and fruits are available so as to not hog the line! I did enjoy the crunch and the fruits and the berry sauce was very thick like jam and a bit too sweet for my liking. But the frozen yogurt itself was okay. Not fantastic either. I wouldn’t queue more than 10 minutes for this though. I wonder if the hype will ever die off.

Wow! It has been almost a month since they open and the queue still going strong. Decided to drop by here on a Wednesday around 9.40pm and I was so wrong about having lesser people queuing for a yogurt at this time. Took me about 15 minutes before I ordered my Sanum. Came here the second time at this chain. The first time I decided to just get a small yogurt with one topping — wild strawberry sauce. That time round, I ordered somewhat plain on my yogurt just to see what’s the craze about for this yogurt chain. This time round, I ordered a Sanum — one crunch topping, three fruits toppings, and a sauce on top of the yogurt. I ordered a Sanum with fruity pebbles, strawberries, mangoes and blueberries and the Raffaelo Sauce(produced by the same company as Ferrero Rocher but it consist of white chocolate, crispy wafer bits and dry coconut flakes). I think at the time I ordered there weren’t much left so the staff was not generous enough with the sauce. Service wise, they are quite alright. 5 people behind the counter and the staff who helped with my order was quite efficient. The customers in front of me were indecisive on what they wanted on their Sanum and due to that, our queue got slowed down. I even had to overtake them in terms of payment and taking my cup of Sanum elsewhere. Like I mentioned on the tips section, it was similar to Pink Berry’s Yogurt chain in the U.S. But for now there is only the original flavor and I don’t think they have the smoothies on sale yet especially with this amount of crowd. Luckily, more chains started popping up all over Singapore. Will try other branches too if I happen to be around :)

Ok. I’m a Llao Llao fan. My favourite is the Sanum(yoghurt+1 crunch + 3 fruits + 1 sauce), and I recently tried the Raffaello sauce which I now ADORE. It’s a white chocolate-based sauce with waffle bits and generous pieces of coconut, you HAVETO try it at least once when you’re there(unless you hate coconut). I like that this branch has tables and chairs for seating(though the tables are mainly sticky and what’s with all the flies buzzing around???) I feel that the servers at this branch are much more efficient. I’ve been here a few times, and each time(6pm, weekday) the queue was less than 5 minutes long. HOWEVER, it seems as though many others have realised this because when I walked past the store on a friday night, the queue was CRAZY and stretched all the way out of the mall into the road leading up to the carpark(a very hot and smelly wait).): I still love Llao Llao though.

Llaollao is located opposite Toast Box, taking over the spot where Subway used to be, right by the sliding doors leading to the taxi stand. Wonderful location. Grab(well, you can’t technically grab since the line is awfully long) a yogurt treat and pop over to the the taxi stand and join another queue. We were there on a weekday evening at 5+pm and the line was considered not that long(10 people deep). It probably took about 10 – 15 minutes wait before we were served. The shop has a small area with tables and chairs for dining in and with its green and white color scheme, it has a very light and appealing feel to it. I was recommended the sanum which includes 3 fruits topping, a dry(crunch) topping and a choice of sauce over the yogurt. I like how the toppings were in the middle of the yogurt so you don’t have to deal with toppings which may fall off if you attack the yogurt aggressively. The ordering process: 1. choose the type of yogurt — sanum 2. server fills the cup with some yogurt first, then you select your crunch(dry) topping, followed by the fruits topping. 3. server tops up the cup, covering the toppings and then you choose your sauce. 4. proceed to payment. There is a wide variety of toppings to choose from, really similar to Pinkberry. I believe different outlets may have different toppings. There are at least 10 choices in each category, which is way more than your usual chocolate, strawberry or caramel in the sauce category. I had the raffaelo sauce which is an interesting combination of white chocolate, coconut and waffle bits. Love the crunch of the thin waffle bits. I finally know why there is always a long line at the Marina Square link outlet and probably at other outlets too. I just wish they will come up with more flavors for the yogurt like Pinkberry or Yami Yogurt. Currently it is just the natural/plain yogurt.
