Amazing, amazing shop that stock A.P.C products here in Singapore. In fact, the only store in our island republic that carries their whole range from Men’s to Women’s wear to accessories and shoes. Everytime I visit Raffles Hotel, may it be for drinks at the over-rated Long bar(we’ll leave the review next time), or a meal at Halia or self-poisoning experience at the Leica shop, I will walk up to Level 1 of the shopping arcade and just to marvel at the beautiful display of this very chic french ready-to-wear clothing. A.P.C stands for Atelier de Production et de Creation simply means the production workshop and creation. I hope my 3 years French language study didn’t go down the drain… The shop comprises of 2 units — one unit is dedicated entirely to A.P.C, minimalist design with men’s and women’s wear hung at one side of the room while round«columns» store their accessories perfectly. The best thing about this shop is it’s futuristic fitting room that looks like a yin and yang symbol. Very cool. But too bad, the designer of the fitting room might be a japanese or someone petit as my I find it too small for my «American size» body and freaked out a lil coz I am claustrophobic while trying out some clothes. The other unit of the store stocks up clothing and accessories from smaller brands and they do carry Happy Socks from Sweden as well as BIRO from Japan. Front Row might carry very exquisite brands in their store hence the items are not cheap comparing to more commercial brands we find in departmental store but the quality of the products speak for itself, for sure. The store is currently having 50% off for A.P.C products(past seasons of course lah) so it;s time to treat yourself something nice this christmas, maybe?

This is the Singapore equivalent of Colette in Paris. A great little shop full of brands lovingly sourced from all over the world by the owners. Things aren’t cheap here, but they’re not crazily priced either. Staff are friendly(not pushy) and knowledgeable. They were happy to recommend more reasonably-priced alternatives when we balked at the prices of some of the items we picked up.
