Saw buffalo wings on their menu and that was it! Snack place decided! Sat down and it was happy hour so they had one for one beers. Even better. Since we had dessert before dinner, this was apparently suppose to be a light snack ;) So the order was one pizza(salmon and pesto), buffalo wings and 2 sets of beer for 3 persons. Pizza was great! Not the ultra thin crust(which really it’s a matter of preference but I always like a bit of bite to my pizza dough) with generous serving of salmon. Buffalo wings could be a bit spicier but it was good. Nice ambience. Went in the evening so dinner crowd was around. Weekday so it was not as crowded as I expected it to be, but still fairly full. Looked around at the other tables and saw the their pasta looks good too. Possibility of a next time for this place and there is the fungi pizza that I would like to try.

Superb pizza, inattentive service sums it up. The food is superb, with great pizza dough and some amazing deserts(the tiramisu is great) but the service is lacklustre at best, and it can be hard to get their attention. In addition, on a few occasions the pizzas have arrived at the table colder than they should have been considering they’re freshly baked. For the price, I fee that they should work on delivering better service, but on its own, the pizza is pretty fantastic.

Be prepared for a lot of young’ens. Really; it’s a family place and there are kids everywhere. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, just don’t expect an intimate date place or a place to have business conversations. Food is good, but overpriced. In Pizzabar’s defense, I know it’s part of the territory and neighborhood. Service is okay, but not fantastic, which is disappointing for the prices you pay.

Good place to come in for a chillax-ing time over coffee and desserts. It would be given 4 stars if the experience is more affordable. A dessert and a coffee set us back by $ 21. We tried: * cheesecake — heavy, creamy and smooth. Nice. * tiramisu — good amount of alcohol in theirs and ‘wet’ enough for me. A tad expensive at $ 13.90 a box. * donut with peanut butter filling — sinful but nice * chocolate peanut butter crunch — sounds strange but tastes Oh-So-Good! Definitely need to share as its dense. Coffee is nice, selection is pretty standard but enough for everyone to have what they like.

Disappointing. Whilst this is not a 5 star restaurant, the service level is far below even what Pizza Hut offers. Cutlery and napkins were just piled on plates and shafted onto the table. Water was not offered and had to be requested. Wines were served without coasters. Strangely, other tables were perfectly set. If the place was full, it might still be understandable. Certainly not to be expected for a place that was about 30% occupied. As to be expected, the water glasses were never refilled. The food was the worst part. The crabmeat pasta was a favorite of ours, but this time, the pasta was a bit too hard and does not taste like the freshly made ones we used to have. The over cooked Florentina pizza was the worst. The salami was actually burnt at the edges and the spinach was practically dried. And instead of a runny egg, there was a well cooked sunny side up.

Four of us had the Pio Pio and($ 21++) Caliprawnia($ 21++) salads, aglio oilo with mushroom($ 25++) and Mari e Monti pizza($ 25++). The salads were generously sized and should suffice for a small eater. The mango in my Caliprawnia balanced off the savoury prawns with a touch of sweetness. A tasty combination. The Mari e Monti pizza is both healthy and delicious. One can’t go wrong with smoked salmon, mushrooms and basil. Even though it’s a «pizzabar», they are baby-friendly and have high chairs on hand. They’ve got a selection of wines, though they’re also happy to serve tap water.

Came here for dinner with my family tonight and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality, freshness, and overall taste of the food. We got the Pio Pio salad, Americano pizza, and the pizza with wild rocket prosciutto and Parmesan. The salad was possibly the best salad I’ve had. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked and the lettuce was crisp. The pizza was also quite delicious but it was not as good as the salad. The prices were incredibly expensive so beware. It cost about 84 dollars for the meal. I will return here.

No longer kids menu available. Music too loud. Great pizza, good service. Worth to come back.

3.5 Close to its big brother(Da Paolo Bistro bar) but not quite there. NZ Sav Blanc(house wine) is surprisingly good but pricey Anyway I like the place and the food

The pizza is great and will definitely do the job but I feel like La Nonna outdoes ‘em just a notch. What I really come here for is the consistency and portion sizes. I like the California salad, which is a huge bowl of salad with a lot of avocado, grilled shrimp and mango. The Benedict is also quite a satisfying mouthful. It’s a nice little place to head to when you’ve woken up late, want quality food and not have to deal with unnecessary pretentiousness or wait.

Ingredients were good, but the pizza was a-okay. Not bad, not excellent. Set lunch servings are a little stingy as well, especially the salad/soup part. Overpriced.

Generally, this place was better then I expected. The ingredients on the pizza were of high quality. Particularly the Gorgonzola, the prosciutto, and the smoked salmon were really satisfying. They should really improve their crust, though. It was too flaky, and lacked that classic Italian wood-fired quality. On the plus side, they had a few decent beers in bottles, including Delirium Tremens and Satan Gold.(The latter was only $ 10 for happy hour before 7:30.) The most disappointing part of the meal was the pear/brie appetizer. It looked and tasted like something I could have made at home if I was too lazy to cook.

I have very fond memories of this place, mostly of gigantic groups of friends clustered around their long table made from a gnarly slice of tree. The specialty here is pizza, of course, with multifarious toppings to please every fancy. If you come early on Saturday there is even brunch, but we’re there for the pizza and the conviviality.

When craving good italian food and pizza, don’t be lazy and settle down somewhere in the beginning of chipbee garden. Walk all the way at the end because that is where you will find the best pizza place in Singapore! I’m a big pizza fan and ate a lot of pizza’s around town, but nothing beats a pizza from Da Paolo’s pizzabar. The pizza crust is thin and crispy, not like a dorito though. The crust is doughy but perfectly baked in a wood oven so you have that nice crisp charcoal flavor. Absolute favorite is the mushroom-truffle, but also the parma-arugula is great. Prices are between 20 – 30 dollars and lots of people take out as well. The salads are consistent with the quality served at the da paolo bistro bar. Restaurant setting is casual and cozy. No need to order a fancy wine from the wine list, wine lovers should be very happy with the house white and red.
