The Butcher

This is a great butcher and I am lucky they are just round the corner from me. Their service is super friendly and they give honest advice. I am also able to call in and order what I want, everything is nicely prepared and can just pick it up!
All the meats are from Australia and NZ. They have a good range of sausages and good value bbq sets!
I’ve not managed to try the marinated meats yet but they look so tempting! There are a wide selection of flavors and you can even purchase online and they deliver!

They’ve got a marvelous selection of meats on display and just walking around the shop gives you so much inspiration for preparing the day’s dinner.
The staff are really friendly and helpful and they’re always quick to recommend you the best cuts of meat for your use. Even though i’m more of a season-​it-​yourself kind of person, I actually do enjoy some of their pre-​marinated/​prepared meats.
The beef wellington is one of those. All you have to do is pop it in the oven! after 15 – 20 mins, you’ve got a pretty decent meal awaiting you.

The best butcher in town! The sticker next to the door showing of they are chosen as a favorite by Expat Living magazine is the first sign that it’s more of an expat place. The second one is the very helpful New Zealand and Australian staff. They give honest advise on the best cuts of meat, ideas for recipes and also cooking instructions if you ask them. They also have a lot of ready made meats that you can just take out of the packaging, shuff in the oven and gobble up. My favorite is the whole chicken marinated in lime and rosemary. It’s not too expensive also! The apricot marinated chicken is similarly delicious and tender. For your christmas dinner they also have frozen quail, pigeons etc. Other specialty meats need to be ordered in advance.
