I’m really such a fan of Ah Balling’s peanut soup. I like the fact that the peanuts are extremely soft and thoroughly cooked, and in addition the soup is smells really good and is delicious. I can drink tons of it and not feel full or bad about my body’s sugar level. As for the glutinous rice balls, they have Black Sesame, Peanut, Red Bean, Yam Paste and Green Tea. To be honest, I have tasted glutinous rice balls that are equally tasty and those can be bought in local wet markets or supermarkets too. So far I’ve tried a few flavours but I think I will stick to the peanut flavor. The sesame flavor comes a close second. They also have branches in Chinatown, Nex, Golden Mile so far my experience is that their standard for the peanut soup is all very consistent, so feel free to visit any of the branches!

I don’t really enjoy coming here because the place is quite messy and dirty. But because my boyfriend loves the beef noodles here and enjoys the glutinous rice balls, I find myself coming here a lot. I may find the place lacking, but the glutinous rice balls are the real deal. It’s not too sweet and the fillings are just nice. I’ve had other rice balls before, but none of them come close to the taste of what they have here. A great way to end a dinner.

I’m a fan of Ah Balling’s peanut soup. I love their soft, well cooked peanuts plus the sweet, delicious and fragrant soup. A delicious way to end meals on, the soup isn’t too starchy, nor does it get too filling. It’s probably the reason why there are so many other Ah Balling copycats nowadays. For me, this was the stall that started my love affair with glutinous rice balls. There’s a choice of Black Sesame, Peanut, Red Bean, Yam Paste and Green Tea rice balls and you either get them at a set of 4, or 6. The green tea one is a recent addition but I have to say, is delicious without being too overpowering or sweet. Like most people, I love the black sesame and peanut filled rice balls that just burst out when you take a bite. While you can buy ready made riceballs off the shelves at supermarkets, no one does it better than the original.
