Cozy layout, lots of seating space, AMAZING seasonal specials… The sweet teeth of me and my 3 friends were all very satisfied with the gingerbread deluxe late(mine), cinnamon mocha, hazelnut hot choc an regular hot choc with marshmallows. I would give it 5 stars for this, super cozy mugs also. But, we got sandwiches and they were tasty but a bit dry… the cheese/ha sandwich could have had a bit more filling and my pesto-sundried tomatoes-cheese grilled sandwich had a lovely taste but the bun was too dry, unfortunately! But, then again, the drinks were soooo soooo good for today’s winter day! SO4 stars, here you go!

Nice café with a book selection but my flat white was quite unpleasant. Both weak and overly bitter.

The somewhat cliché hangout for students, but it keeps a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Very nice drinks and food, and the staff is some of the best you could get. It’s a perfectly cozy place to spend time alone, or go for a chat.

It’s not a bad place. I think it has a lot of potential, but it is run down. Cleanliness is not kept at a very high standard and the quality of the beverages does not reflect the price. I had their green tea and it was not particularly pleasing.

Great coffeehouse in the heart of Stirling. Wonderful selection of teas and coffees, friendly staff. I come here at least once a week to enjoy a brew and a good book.

Oh my goodness gracious — my coffee haunt of my student years! I lived across the road from this establishment for three years and they have seen my through tears, tantrums, crippling hangovers, excruciating early morning lectures, looming dissertation deadlines and times of extreme caffeine dependency — some of the staff have become great friends of mine and are lovely and helpful and happy people!(Tip well guys! :P) This place has got a very chilled out, laid back vibe. It’s the kind of place after you’ve been a few times, they remember your order and your favourite seat. The coffee is reasonably priced BUT remember to flash your student card for a little extra discount! Also, if you buy a coffee before 10am you get free refills all day which was always a great incentive for me to be up and at ‘em before the morning rush! There is also a good selection of cakes and snacks on offer(the cheese and bacon toasties are delish!) and soup for lunchtime hunger pangs. They also have a reasonable selection of soft drinks and milkshakes on offer and an amazing selection of weirdly named teas(try the Magic Tea, it’s a revelation.) It’s also open til 8pm which is a bonus! The Burgh is also available for events too — I’ve attended group German lessons there, a Lush party, an SSP meeting, an open mic night and even had a tutor hold a seminar in the place. I’m pretty sure it’s free to book so it’s great for wee gatherings in a nice cosy setting. There’s a vast selection of board games on offer too, as well as hundreds of donated to books to simply flick through or to buy with a donation. Free WIFI too — it became my study sanctuary for a year or too! Settle in to one of their comfy sofas or their more private booths and drift away with a Gingerbread Latte — bliss!

Love it! Friendly atmosphere, cosy, comfy seats, free wifi and good coffee. There’s a wee library with books and board games that you can borrow, which is a really nice idea! Also great that it’s open until 8pm.

I’ve been here three times since my last review, and had such a great experience each of those times that I feel I should add a bit to my previous review. Always busy but still somehow having just enough seating, the Burgh is a wonderful place to meet up with friends if you’re a student. It’s what I’d want my study room/mini library to look like when I get my own place! I’ve gotten the chai latte once(and it’s been the best chai latte I’ve ever had, by far!), and the skim mocha twice. Both are great options, but then again so must be the gingerbread milkshake they offer that I’ve not yet had the chance to try.

I’m suprised I haven’t reviewed the burgh already! It’s a regular haunt for students in stirling and is so cosey. The staff are lovely and the burgh caters to any events/meeting/clubs you can think of. My band played a charity gig there and, you wouldn’t think it, but the burgh was the perfect setting! The burgh is versatile and welcoming. Free wifi is also a bonus and the book and board game selection adds to the quaint homely feel. They often give you a free refill if you’re there early enough! That’s one good reason to get studying with a warm cup of tea/coffee/huge slice of cake.

Comfy sofas, free wifi, reasonable prices, plenty of seating, a rock/alternative soundtrack and open until 8pm. There aren’t many such cafes in Stirling that tick all these boxes, so I’m definitely a fan of this place. Other highlights of this place include its small library of books for customers to read, its coffee and tea for sale and its downstairs space which can be booked. The service is also friendly and quick.
