I’ve been wanting to dine at Bofe for the longest time ever since their opening, and finally I went there for lunch with my friends. We were lucky to get a parking outside of the eatery grab a seat before the lunch crown started to pour in. I like the ambience in Bofe. It’s cozy and not too noisy. I especially like the corner sofa seat at the entrance, it’s a perfect corner on a lazy weekend to read a book while sipping on a cup of coffee. Bofe have set lunch on weekdays and weekend brunch menu. The lunch set came with your choice of coffee, tea or ice lemon tea and dessert. They have local cuisine, western and sandwich for you to choose from. I had the Chicken Aglio Olio. The spaghetti was al dente and I like the heat in the dish, but I felt the dish could use some extra garlic in it. The Hainanese Chicken Chop has the nice balance of crunchy batter and moist chicken meat, but the gravy was barely enough. The Peranakan Duck was an interesting dish. It tasted very much like ayam pongteh but it has gravy for you to drizzle on the white rice. Our dessert of the day was chocolate cake. I was kind of worry when I heard the word«chocolate» because I’m really not a fan of chocolate and sweet stuff. The portion of the chocolate cake wasn’t too big — that’s really good news for me! The cake was moist and wasn’t too sweet. I like the oranges on top of the cake, as the slight sourness of the orange was refreshing. Overall, we enjoyed our meal a lot at Bofe. Although the service was a little bit slow, but it turned out to be alright. The eatery is located along the same row as Mungo Jerry and Clique clinic.

We came to Bofe for a very specific intent which is to have the Goma Duck Breast(RM25.00). A friend had it a week or two ago and was shouting over Whatsapp in caps lock about how delicious it was, and so here we are. First impression of the place was that it’s a relaxing and soothing place. Teal, black, white and other minimal dashes of color, plus the spacious floor planning makes the eatery feel really cosy. My favourite part was the long row of teal and black cushions by our table. Tonight they’re playing old favourites on the radio such as Air Supply and Starship, we had a good time either guessing the songs or singing along as we dined. Even the menu is done gorgeously, with teal colored tabs at the bottom to help you through it better. This attention to detail alone gave me the impression that it is definitely one of the better focused café /eatery out there already. The Goma Duck Breast is a pan fried duck breast served with mash potato and roast sesame seed sauce. This is 5 pieces of thick, succulent and beautiful duck breast slices smoked to perfection. The skin is rich brown and thick with a layer of fat that retains the smoky flavour. The meat is a deep maroon through and through. The first bite revealed it to be tender and juicy, added with the mash potato, it has many complex flavours and texture going on. Wonderful. I was honestly sorry to see my plate empty at the end of my meal. I would gladly pay this amount for this dish multiple times over. The boyfriend tried the Open Burger(RM18.90) but did not like it as much. The burger patty while fresh felt like it was under seasoned, tasteless. The burger bun was also not nice. It wasn’t long before I noticed him struggling /dreading to finish his burger, so I shared my duck with him instead. We don’t know if this is a hit and miss, but I am open to coming back again to try their other menu selections.

First thing I noticed was«that’s an odd name for a café» but I soon found out it actually stands for«best of everything». Sounds good by me! Stepping into the café, I instantly fell in love… with the color of the walls and pillows — calming shades of turquoise and black — very soothing indeed and best hangout spot for those who work remote on weekdays. You might think this joint houses simple Malaysian fare but the menu tells it all! You get dishes like lamb shank, vodka infused canapes, watermelon gazpacho, interesting wraps, pasta and home made burgers at a fraction of the cost at high end restaurants. Truly a steal in this obscure spot near ss2. I truly enjoyed the house garden salad with fresh greens intertwined with layers of flavor from the house dressing, sauteed mushrooms and egg. It was surprisingly filling and worthwhile! I washed it down with a refreshing glass of De Stress — a concoction of ginger, lemon and pineapple. Sweet and tang plus an excellent tonic for digestion as well as relaxation.

PJ has so many cafes, it is hard to tell which is better than the other. For Bofe, they lack tact. Tact as in proper competition to really punch their rivals to a pulp. Their pastas are not really that amazing, but if you are not a real pasta lover like me, you will love it due to their ‘innovations’ that they put in their dishes like over-sauce and old meat. Their coffee is admittedly decent, but with the amount of cafes out here in the environment, there can only be so little advantages that Bofe can do to outlast their ‘peers’. Aside from that, I am quite impressed by the décor, but other than that, there isn’t much there to make me wanna go there again. Meh and meh again.

Just finished my lunch at Bofe Eatery. Not sure whether everyday has the same ambience or just today. It was super noisy! Luckily, me and Danny arrived 5 minutes earlier, else we couldn’t get any seat for lunch. I personally love the decoration of Bofe Eatery. It looks cosy and I felt like a home. But the thing spoiled the atmosphere will be too crowded and noisy. I saw there were few tables joined together. I bet they were having a gathering? Hopefully that was the case so that next time if I return to Bofe Eatery, no such noise there. I just wanted to enjoy my lunch peacefully. They have set lunch menu which offers plenty of choices. Still, I didn’t go for it because I tempted to try out their juice. Therefore, we ordered a la carte and juice. The portion of grilled chicken was big but not for the lamb chop. Danny said he still felt hungry even though he finished the lamb chop. It looks big because of its bone, but meat was just too little. Both dishes were delicious and juicy. The sauces were perfectly matched. I was wondering why the salad Bofe Eatery served didn’t have any salad sauce? It was only washed by water. Hmmm… Coming to the juice, we were attracted by the names. I ordered«weight loss» while Danny ordered«cholesterol buster». Both are different combination of fruits but both had strong taste of cucumber. Overall, the dining at Bofe Eatery was okay. Hopefully my next dining there will have lesser people or I just want it to be more silent.

So many café’s around PJ, dont know what to eat? if you are looking for a place to chill and catch up with friends with good food then this is the right place. Although parking may be full but worth the wait. i guess. I came here with my best friend to celebrate her birthday and as the pasta came, she ordered salmon avocado(which we never heard before) and i ordered Bolognese. We realized that the portion they gave us is so big, so much pasta and very saucy. One thing unique was that they add a little bit of cinnamon into my pasta and her pasta had bell peppers in it too. I guess this café has its own way of mixing ingredients and is definitely something different triggering our taste buds. Outdoor Seating — No Wifi — Yes
