One good thing about this place is the live band sessions. The extensive menu might be a good thing to, but you’ve got almost 4 different types of cuisines served to you on a menu, there is no specialty and in most cases like this, you can expect subpar meals. And I was right, at least in my opinion, the sandwiches I had were pretty pathetic for its price — 2 measly bread slices with very little filling and a miserable side of sad looking veggies. It has a pretty setting but the food is bad. Not too sure about how it is at night but they are probably better off just serving drinks and keeping the menu small and compact with finger foods. Don’t think I will be back in the near future!

My friends and I went to SS2 to hunt for food and we came across Double Park, which located along the same row as Wings Café. The interior was chic and the menu was quite intensive, so we decided to give it a try. The place was quite empty for a lunch hour, but I thought it was due to them being a newly-opened café. We ordered their pastas and fried rice to try, but they were just average. Although the price was reasonable but the food was nothing special and hardly left any impression on us. My friends and I did not revisit the place after that. Would I recommend anyone to try out the place? Probably no, unless you are looking for something to fill your stomach and don’t mind how it taste.

The attractive thing of this café and bar, no doubt, would be its name — Double Park. Especially when it is located at SS2, I can easily link the double parking context with it. We were thinking if we can’t find a parking, we can just double park outside Double Park Café & Bar~ Haha. Generally, Double Park is more tended to bar because they have live band at night as well as tapas bar. The lightning here is dimmed, only some spot which close to the entrance will be brighter in daytime, yet, it is really hot at noon. We were surprise that they have a lot of food choices, western, local, Hong Kong and asian cuisine. I have ordered their set lunch — egg fried rice with fish/chicken/pork, serve along with soup of the day and also a drink. For the rice, you can choose the sauce too; red sauce, mushroom sauce or black pepper sauce. Overall, the mushroom sauce was slightly sourish, which the pork also taste a little sourish. While the egg fried rice was a little salty too. My friend ordered a sandwhich, it was delightful and look delectable when serving; however, we think that they shouldn’t use this flat plate because the sauce split afterwards. We actually enjoyed our lunch there. Not sure how will it be at night. Maybe I should plan a night dating at Double Park next time.

I’ve had an absolutely dismay experience from my first visit and I’ve decided to never go back again. It was this newly open shop with a catchy name and chic interior design that caught my friend’s and my eye. We decided to give it a go as it was quite late for lunch and the best places to go to are all sold out at this time. They serve sandwiches, burgers, western cuisine and local dishes. Although the price seems reasonable from the menu, the taste is mediocre and unappetizing. I guess this is a place for snacks and drinks and live band sessions only.
