I must say that I am not a fancy food kind of person, but a girlfriend has to be pampered, so as her boyfriend I brought her to Majestic Hotel for hi-tea. I wanted to book their Orchid Conservatory initially but at my time of booking it was already full, thus I settle for their tea lounge. It is essentially the same thing, the only difference is the place where you dine; the whole ambiance thing — but you’re still served the same things. They start off with some English tea and then follow with the finger food — some sandwiches, scones, and some light desesert. The food was good, portion was sufficient for afternoon tea, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The waiters were really friendly as well, the best complement food can come with in my opinion — good service. Well, it’s a bit costly. But on the other hand, a man gotta do what a man gotta do. ;)

Being the prestigeous hotel of KL, everything in here seems magically beautiful and luxurious. Upon entering, you’ll be greeted with staffs in utmost prim and proper clothing and smiles. A trait you don’t just get it anywhere in Malaysia. The Tea Lounge, specially for your afternoon unwind sessions serves this special tea set which comes with a tray of very fine selection of food and desserts that is perfect for your tea combination. At about 3pm onwards, there will be a pianist who will be playing all the wonderful piano pieces to further create that lovely environment for your stay. Price is definitely on the high side but every once in awhile, we all should splurge on experience sake!

Fancy a cup of tea?(Read that in British English to get yourself in the mood. Teehee.) Majestic Hotel is here since the British colonial years and was one of the leading glamorous hotels in Malaysia. Well they did retain their charm and oh how I adore this place. I came for a gathering with the girls and I fell in love right after I passed by The Orchid Conservatory. Big bright purple orchids and tables with white sheets and fancy tea sets and big glass windows everywhere, the girls were in awe on how pretty the place is. They serve a variety of coffee and tea with beautiful sets of English pastries. The waitress serving us has clean and crisp uniforms and a big warm smile. Their service is great, never rushed and always pleasant it’ll get you in the jazzy and calmed down mood in no time. The tea is served white pearly tea sets and I do adore the clear and fragrant taste of it. We ordered a set of English pastries and it’s the best I’ve tried in the town so far. The varieties of pastries offer different taste: sweet, savoury, fruity and some even with local Malaysian flavours. You have to come visit this place for a pampering evening for English breakfast teas and impeccable ambiance. Highly recommended.
