I’ve worked several events that were hosted at the Majestic hotel and all I can say is that im utterly impressed. walking into this hotel is like going through a time warp. Everything is so classy, not old but sort of timeless. I do know that this hotel was in existence since 1932, and so yes it is indeed very old but the fact that its still around today gives it a very historical feel. The rooms here are extremely expensive ranging from RM700−1000 per night. We were suppose to stay a night after the event but when we found out the prices we changed our minds. The staff here are very attentive and polite, they were extremely helpful throughout the event. The famous restaurant here is the Contango and i have to say i really enjoyed the buffet lunch we had. The spread was good and the food tasted amazing. anyone who loves hotel buffets should definitely give Contango a try.

Let’s start with prices; Orchid room is Rm88++, drawing room is Rm68++, normal room is Rm48++. Starting off with the orchid room, the environment there has sufficient sunlight with plenty of orchids surrounding the place making it smell good. Not recommended for people allergic to orchids though. You have to make reservation at least a week before as the orchid room is always full due to the limited tables. Go there for the pastries as it isn’t the typical sandwiches that other high tea places. The portion there is also extremely big. However, they don’t have a variety of tea and only serve either tea or coffee. What kind of high tea place serves only one type of tea? Compared to the normal room, the service in the orchid room was excellent. The service in the normal room wasn’t as good and makes it seem as if the money you pay gives you the service you deserve. I would go as far as to say that majestic serves the best pastries for high tea and the only downfall is the lack of tea selection.

Although Majestic hotel is one of the oldest hotel in KL, the glamorous of heritage structure is well-maintained till now. I like their white painted building with wooden glasses window. It’s very classy. I think it’s should be a great place for wedding shooting. I still remember the first time I’m here was for my company’s annual dinner, I was impressed with their big hall room where their beautiful chandeliers hanging on top, colorful lighting and good sounds system. The western meals that provided is also delicious. I love their service, everyone of them are friendly. Overall ambient and experience that I encounter are great. I’m having a unforgettable happy moment there. The only downside here is the room’s size of their lifts are small. When there’s event or during peak seasons, you might need to wait longer to get up or down.

I’ve been to this historic hotel run by YTL hotels a couple of times for events. It’s recently been given a nice facelift and I love the pristine white colour scheme coupled with dark wooden furniture. Even the guards outside the lobby are dressed in cute hats and uniform resembling the army back in those days to give it more of a historic feel. Parking is available at a flat rate of RM10 and they also provide complimentary shuttle service to KL sentral. Their ballroom is huge and I love the washroom next to it as there’s plenty of full length mirrors which can be useful for girls. The hotel’s orchid room is also another famous room for special occasions as it’s filled with beautiful orchids, perfect for a girly high tea or baby shower. However, i’ve tried their high tea a couple of times and wasn’t so impressed by the food as it wasn’t the best i’ve had. They offered your usual scones and sandwiches but also included a few local treats such as curry chicken pastry.

This could be one of the oldest hotel that available in Kuala Lumpur and still running the business even there are too many hotels surrounding. It was built in 1932 by the time this country wasn’t even independence yet. This place is amazing and beautiful. It amazes me even more because this place is located in the middle of busy city. Just like a paradise that located in the middle of a dessert. Plus, this hotel is my parents favorite. The ballroom is quite enormous. I bet it could fill up thousands in one time. I hope that I could make my wedding ceremony here someday. Just maybe.

Majestic Hotel is definitely one of the oldest hotels in Malaysia. It was built in 1932. I was lucky enough to be invited by a PR Company for ball at Majestic Hotel. Seriously, before that, I never know this hotel means a lot and witness the history of our beloved homeland. Well, do you know, Majestic Hotel was once facing crisis in turning down their business? But great to know there is a NGO saved them and till now, Majestic Hotel is still maintaining their world class standard. I don’t how much it actually cost for a night in Majestic Hotel, but I bet it isn’t cheap since it is a heritage site and a grand hotel. The crews are well-trained. They are very polite and and helpful. Coming to the food, needless to say, the food are delightful and mouth-watering. I never dine solely in the lounge at Majestic Hotel, maybe you can try it out with your loved one in anniversary.
