Elle Vie Salon

If it wasn’t for the refund I’d give it no stars, I came with very long hair it was near my thighs and it was pre lightened I wanted color.
Monserrat started off by laughing at me for a good 5 minutes before telling me that this was going to be «very expensive» it was going to cost me a lot as if I came in there with no money.
Then she told me it could definitely be done but it would take all day and I was fine with that as long as I’d get the color I wanted.
She spent the entire time trying to convince me to cut my hair it went on the entire 8 hours I was there her badgering me about the length of my hair.
I sat for 7 hours straight with bleach in my hair (olaplex included for $ 25 a bowl) my hair was so hard if ppulled the wrong way it felt like it could snap off. she spent that time in the front of the salon on the computer changing the music and doing whatever else kept her so busy because it wasn’t another client there were none that whole day.
Then at one point when she was putting in the color she got a phone call and she was on the phone with her mother then another phone call her «best friend» she asked if it was okay that she be on the phone she never gets to talk to this person they live far away… what was I supposed to say?
I said sure thinking she could multitask.
She said the color was taking great she walked off and continued her conversation in the front of the salon while I sat in the back.
It wasn’t until she was half way done blow drying my hair that she turned my chair around and started trying to explain. That I wouldn’t see exactly what I wanted in the mirror this is not something anyone ever wants to hear.
I looked in the mirror and my hair was maybe half a shade lighter but it was tinted GREEN!
With a big Green area under my hair in the back.
Mind you this was on July 3^rd… I was getting my hair done for the 4^th, it looked like crap.
I didn’t get the color I wanted and I had green tinted hair I asked if she was charging me for the color I didn’t receive and she just looked at me like I was crazy and said yes because the product was used it wasn’t her fault that my hair didn’t take it.
I asked how much she said $ 400 I was in shock that I had to pay her $ 400 for making me look and feel like crap and she really didn’t care that she didn’t do one thing right that day.
She said that she would schedule me for toning in 2 weeks… I really didn’t want her touching my hair again I didn’t want to pay her but I felt like I had no choice it was already 8pm we were alone in the salon except my boyfriend who looked on in shock at what happened to my hair.
I even tipped her in hopes that when I came back in 2 weeks she would take care of me and fix the mess that she made but no I came back in 2 weeks and she asked what I wanted to do… if I wanted to give the color another go like I had another $ 400 to just hand to her this was ridiculous she argued with me and my boyfriend about the job she did she tried to claim that she told me it would take more then one visit which is a lie she said it could be done it would take all day but it would definitely get done.
After a few minutes another stylist finally offered to call the owner and Monserrat stormed off like a baby to the back room where she stayed she was combative and extremely rude the owner was great though I’m just really happy I got my refund I needed it to fix the mess I was given.

Went in a few months ago for a Balayage with Monse and I didn’t know exactly what color I wanted but she was very informative and helpful in helping me decide. It came out amazing! Beautiful color that was so perfectly hand painted into my hair that it looks like I’ve just been hanging out in the sun and have these naturally beautiful highlights! My hair has so much dimension now that even if I don’t do anything to it, it looks great. Oh and the transition of colors is so beautiful, no hard lines left behind! That is one of the most important things I feel when looking for balayage/​ombré etc. She also used Olaplex which has really helped maintain the integrity of my hair. Pricing was affordable, especially for its great location!
Will be going back soon to go lighter! Definitely recommend this place!

I had my first appointment at Elle Vie Salon with Luisa for a balayage and cut. It was the first time I had my hair colored and I could not have been more pleased with the results! She was able to add subtle highlights to my dark brown/​black hair without the use of harsh chemicals/​bleach. Overall, an excellent salon and great experience. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Looking for a new place to care for my hair and i think i found it. The place is small but seems busy after i was in the middle of my hair makeover. The girls like to talk and its nice because it makes the awkwardness of meeting a new hair stylist disappear and they really want to know your likes and offer their own recommendations. They offer you water or anything to make you feel comfortable. And at the end you feel like you’ve been a client since forever. From being a snarky New Yorker to finding salon roots in little ol winter park.

I’ve gone to Elle Vie twice now and both times have left very satisfied! The first time I went to get a balayage ombré effect done on my hair, of which I was overwhelming happy with, and the second was just for maintenace — cut, blow dry, etc. The salon is pretty, has a wide selection of products (both color and non-​color) and is very clean, but a bit pricey. However, «pricy» can vary from person to person, epecially when compared to the other salons in the area. The stylists are all very skilled personable. Overally, if you can afford it/​like to spoil your hair like I do, this is great salon in a wonderful location! :)
However, if you’re not already, be VERY CLEAR with your stylist on what you do and don’t want. I referred my cousin here after she saw what I had gotten done and wanted it as well, but left her appointment very dissatisfied. The stylist had gone too blonde (which she stressed she did not want) and it did not look natural at all. Even my first stylist (whose name I desperately wish I could remember) wanted to experiment with diffferent shades of dyes in the cold category, when I specifically told her I wanted to stay with warm. But that aside, she did do a wonderful job and I attribute my cousin’s color error with her indecisiveness. Come in with a clear description of what you want and these stylists will not dissapoint, I’m sure.

I absolutely love Elle Vie salon! I am a long time client of Luisa’s and I am super appreciative of this amazing stylist. Today I had found out that I had to take headshot photos tomorrow, I immediately called Luisa to see if she could get me in last minute. She stayed late to take care of me, I wouldn’t make this a habit but it was so nice knowing that in an emergency she was super accommodating! Thank you!

I don’t get my haircut very often because I always end up with someone who is scissor happy. Luisa was so professional and informative with her consultation. I told her my concerns/​fears, and she told me about a Split Ends Haircut which still allows you to keep your length, but trims away all the bad split ends. My hair felt so healthy and I still had my length! Best technique ever! I recommend this haircutting technique to EVERYONE!

This was my first time visiting the salon, and they have made a client out of me.
I’ve been searching for several months for a Salon that was familiar with blow drying and color treating curly wild hair, and I hit the jackpot!
I found them through instagram, looking through hashtags of ombré and balayage hair, and I was fortunate to come across their account. Monse’ (stylist) did an absolutely incredible job and has perfected the technique, plus she was very sweet and knowledgeable. She definitively made the experience memorable.
I am VERY happy with my hair, and would HIGHLY recommend them.

I went into the salon hoping to get a pastel pink streak in my hair. I had an appointment with Luisa, who is also part owner of the salon. She told me that because I have dyed my hair black so many times, it would be impossible to get the pink that light during this visit without frying it. I appreciated her honesty and the fact that she wanted to save my hair!
So, we went with a more hot pink, and I think I like it more than my original idea! It’s placed very well, so that I can pin it back to show more pink or leave it down for some peekaboo color. She also touched up my black and added an all-​over gloss.
I was also pampered with drinks and candy!
I love it! Great experience at Elle Vie.
