Had lunch here. Great food and excellent value. Nice atmosphere for lunch and clean facilities also. I’ll be back!

Came here as a party of 4 on a Sunday nite to celebrate a bday dinner and all four of dived right into different mains. Between us, we tried the Chicken Biryani, the Chicken Tandoori, Lamb Roganghosh and Palak Paneer(spinach). Before our mains came out, we got served fried papad with three different kinds of chutney — my fave was the tomato, followed by the sweet tamarind — the mint was too spicy for my taste. I loved the presentation of the Chicken Biryani! it came out in a ramekin, and was covered with a dough, similar to a traditional pot pie. Absolutely loved the playfulness(and inventiveness) in the presentation as it was a fusion between east and west done right. However taste-wise, it wasn’t my fave dish of the night. That honour goes to the tandoori chicken! The tandoori chicken came out sizzling hot with delicious onions and amazingly tender, falling off the bone juiciness in each bite. My Lamb was also pretty good, but the Palak Paneer was too salty for my palate. Also loved the Naan breads we ordered. The rice didn’t hold up too well the next day but overall was very pleased with the taste of the food, the lovely, attentive service and also good portion sizes(plates weren’t massive!). It was a nice touch for the chef to come out and check on us personally too! Best surprise of the night was when we were offered free dessert — delightful pineapple shavings in a sort of Indian-style milk reduction sauce. I thought this was another great example of fusion between east and west for dessert and just the right portion size and ended the evening on a great sweet note without leaving any heaviness. I def plan to be back for lunch and/or Sunday buffet.

«I’ve got some new ideas for state quarters, motherfuckers! Let’s do this!» Fortunately, after several minutes the clerk was able to convince me that this establishment is not the Mint, but Mynt, an Indian restaurant in Winter Park. My main bitch and I were then informed that they were doing a brunch buffet, and we were escorted upstairs. The ambience and overall vibe of the upstairs area were fantastic. The waiter then brought us two glasses of champagne, which apparently come with the brunch buffet. The champagne was most fine. The food itself was lovely, with a mixture of old favorites like Tandoori Chicken and bold new sensations. One of my favorites was a the cooked lentils with veggies, which were pretty spicy. Just an FYI, this place does not hold back on the spice. It’s pretty much the only buffet I’ve been to that doesn’t assume that everyone eating there is a little bitch who can’t handle their spice, so hats off to them. The waiter brought us some freshly baked naan halfway through the meal, which was a really nice touch. They also had a dish made with baby corn and sultry chillies, which I really enjoyed. I’m not sure how«authentic» the dish was, but I have no qualms about eating baby corn. I support the rights of all women, be they human or corn, to decide what happens to their own bodies. The dish was sweet, aggressively spiced, and had a hearty crunch due to the baby corn, I really enjoyed it. As a whole, I thought everything about our visit was great and I will certainly return in the future.

No major complaints about this place… I love Indian, and theirs is good. The place is small, which can be a pro or a con(depending on if you can get a seat ;-))… I guess the main complaint is that there’s nothing I can see to justify spending the extra money to eat here over some of my favorite hole in the wall Indian joints(and Orlando has plenty!). I read somewhere that you can tell the difference in how healthy it feels… I did not notice this. I suggest lunch, as they have good specials– but a limited menu.

Good Indian food. I went for Sunday brunch but I ordered off the menu rather than get their«buffet» special since I really wanted chicken korma. My mother ordered malai kofta. I think the malai kofta was better than the korma. The rest of my family got the buffet and was very happy. The dal was very good. I still think Royal Indian Cuisine on semoran is the best for my taste though. It’s nice to have another good Indian restaurant in the area though just in case.

Such a good Lunch! I came for lunch today, and the reviews were spot on! The place is very clean, modern, and bright. We sat inside, but outside would be very nice as well. Service was perfect. My lunch was a great deal. I got a chickpea type curry. It was warm, spicy and full of flavor. The lunch deal came with soup, a little samosa, rice, naan, and a yummy little dessert! all for $ 9!!! Oh and it also came all stacked in these cool indian silver trays(that i’ve only seen in the movies). I will definitely be coming back for lunch, or to check out their sunday brunch!

I work very close to here and that lunch special is about as good as it gets in the area. I’ve tried the Paneer Makanwala and the Lamb Korma. Both dishes are great and the sides of a somosa, naan, and chickpea soup are an added bonus. Also, just when you think you are going to explode from overeating, they bring you desert. Lunch special = win.

I absolutely loved my experience here! Having never had Indian food before, I was hesitant to try Mynt for brunch, as it is a set menu, but I was pleasantly surprised and everything on the menu was delicious! Their Sunday brunch menu changes every week, but was told the butter chicken is always on the menu as it is a favorite. Our brunch menu consisted of: Manchow Soup Chili Baby Corn Mix Veggies Hariyali Chicken Tikka Tandoori Chicken Mutter Panner Aloo Cabbage Masala Dal Tadka Old Delhi Butter Chicken Naan Jeera Rice Pineapple Soufflé Brunch is $ 16.00 per person and is tableside, meaning you can have unlimited helpings of whatever dishes you like and it is brought to the table for you. Included in the $ 16.00 is also a glass of champagne to start, which was great! The service here is excellent. My water was never empty, and they wear ear pieces in order to tell the kitchen/other waiters when you are ready for your next course. I think the most time in between courses that we waited was less than a minute. Everything is made mild to medium in spiciness, so if you don’t like too much spice it’s made perfectly! My friend loves things extra spicy, so they brought out hot sauce for her to put on everything to make to her liking. The manchow soup, chili baby corn, tandoori chicken and old delhi butter chicken with the jeera rice were my favorites from our meal. The soup was so flavorful and fresh, the chili baby corn was fried and reminded me of a chinese dish that was delicious, and the chicken dishes were very flavorful and just amazing! I will definitely be going back and would recommend to anyone, even if you’re a newbie to Indian cuisine like I was!

The food was YUM-tastic! The chef even came out to check on us and to apologize for the heat. Heck, I wasn’t surprised we were all warm because that food was so good it was SIZZL’N! The location is awesome, across the street from the Winter Park Dexters & right down the street from Park Ave shopping & dining. Their branding is so cute and modern! Loved the décor inside paired with the ambient lighting: match made in contemporary-romance heaven. The only downside is the seating arrangements. I understand they have to maximize the number of seats in order to make a profit but I could barely get in or out of my seat, & I’m pretty small. I felt bad for my husband, he seemed a little squished. Prices are fair for the quality and location. I would have liked to see some sort of family style, pick 5 – 6 items for a price cut type deal, but the food was great so I can’t complain. Overall a great dining experience!

I’ve been in search for amazing Indian in Orlando and now I have finally found it. We(my husband and I) had a reservation here on a Saturday night. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the pleasant aroma of rich Indian spices. A staff member quickly approached us and we were seated. We started with the vegetable samosas which had just the right amount of heat. The butter chicken is some of the best I’ve ever had! The portions are very generous. We had the prawn masala as well which had 6 large prawns that were perfectly cooked. The service was great. The staff was very kind, friendly and efficient. I can’t wait to come back again and try the rest of the menu!

We just moved into town and wanted to explore our new downtown. We bought a Groupon for 50 $ worth of dinner for two(date night anyone?) and set out walking in the Park Ave area. The restaurant is quaint and well decorated(on the dark and romantic side of things). We were the only couple in there for the majority of our dinner. This was surprising because we thought it was great! We had the lamb vindaloo and the butter chicken(definite winner in my book), naan, and samosas — still needed to fill up 50 $ so added mango lassis to finish it off. Butter chicken was fantastic — perfectly spiced. Lamb vindaloo was ok to me — a bit watery on the flavor, maybe because of the contrast with my butter chicken. Samosas were great and hot. Mango lassis were just standard. For the price, it was fantastic(it was great before the Groupon) and portions were very large! The staff was good, but confusing. I couldn’t figure out who was our waiter because I think 4 people served us. Maybe because it was so empty? They have Sunday brunch for 16 $ which looks fantastic. Will be back for that really soon with family in tow!

First of all, let me start by saying I am not very experienced in Indian cuisine. I know a little about the various spices used in Indian cooking but I am not well versed at the difference between tandoori, masala and gobi. Lucky for me, I had lunch with a friend who is conversant in Indian cuisine. Lisa, who writes over at TasteCookSip, met me at a restaurant in Winter Park called Mynt Fine Indian Cuisine. Mynt opened only a few months ago among the hustle and bustle of downtown Winter Park. In reality, the only thing I knew was that paneer is an Indian cheese dish. It was the only thing I recognized on the lunch menu and the Paneer Makhanwala came highly recommended from our server. As Lisa was deciding between the Dum Aloo Gobi and the Amritsari Chloe, we decided to go all in and order all three dishes. Each of our lunch selections was served in a Tiffin, a traditional Indian lunch box. A Tiffin is stacked in layers and each layer contained something different. The bottom layer had the appetizer– a Dehli Samosa. A samosa is a spiced potato turnover. Served with a tamarind chutney and a fresh mint dipping sauce, it was not only tasty, but it was crispy and hearty. While the lunches only came with one samosa, I could see myself eating an entire order of these. Another layer of the Tiffin had Dal, a traditional lentil, pea or bean soup. I was reminded of a thick curry stew, slightly spicy. There was a third layer with white rice and the final layer contained our entrees. First up was the Paneer Makahnwala– the cheese dish. Indian cheese was stewed in a soupy mix of what is traditionally onions, tomatoes, ginger, cashews, garlic, cinnamon and cardamom. While the dish had a wonderful flavor, I found myself fishing in the sauce to find the paneer. Next up was the Dum Aloo Gobi– a traditional dish with potatoes and cauliflower in a spicy sauce. The interesting stereotype I associate with Indian cuisine is very spicy, however, the potatoes and cauliflower were seasoned perfectly. There was enough heat to alert my senses but not enough to drown out the main ingredients of the dish. And last, we enjoyed the Amritsari Chloe– chickpeas in a tomato and onion sauce. This was probably my most favorite dish of the three. There was a slight sweetness to this and according to the menu there is pomegranate added here. Finally, dessert was also included in the lunches and we were presented with Gulab Jamoon. A single dough mix of milk solids, this didn’t burst with flavor but it was very good. After so much flavor in all the entrees, the Gulab Jamoon was refreshing. I couldn’t quite place the sauce it was rested in– a sort of watery-honey syrup. I enjoyed Mynt quite a bit and feel a little more comfortable ordering in an Indian restaurant. While Chad is not a big fan of Indian cuisine, I feel there is enough variety here for anyone to find something perfect. The staff was incredibly helpful in assisting us with our questions.

This tiny space off of Hannibal square is owned by the people behind Saffron on Sand Lake Road, but it has better food and service. We started with papadums and garlic naan bread. The papadums were more delicate than most, served with two chutneys, mint and tamarind. The garlic naan was particularly good, very thin and a bit crisp in the center, with lots of garlic. Next we shared the tandoori platter, a combination of chicken, lamb, shrimp and sausage. All were very good although not remarkable. We finished with an order of butter chicken, which was extremely flavorful, a bit more complex and slightly less rich than some versions. Service was very attentive. There seemed to be more servers than patrons, although I guess Saturday lunch is slow. Although we didn’t take advantage of it, there is a superb lunch deal, with a full meal for just about $ 10. Many of the dishes on the menu are not names I’m familiar with from the other Indian restaurants I’ve been too, so I’m looking forward to returning and trying some new things.

Located across from Dexter’s Winter Park, in Hannibal Square, this compact Indian restaurant offers big, delicious flavors. If the weather is nice, enjoy your meal outside and soak up the beautiful day and nice ambiance this corner of New England Avenue offers. Service was warm and welcoming, we asked for a few recommendations and awaited our lunch. Lunches are delivered in the traditional tiffin(lunch pail), which is unlatched by your server. Each layer holds a course, the samosa and sauces on the first layer, followed by lentil soup, then rice and the entrée. Dessert was brought out after and this delicious & filling meal was enjoyed for under $ 12. Everything I tasted had me eager for the next bite. I’m looking forward to returning for brunch where a table side buffet is offered. So, lots of stuff brought to the table.(Let your server know of any dietary restrictions or allergies and they will accommodate.) Also includes a glass of champange for just $ 16. The regular dinner and lunch menu are quite extensive, so there should be something for everyone. Looking forward to my next visit!

Mynt deserves every one of these five stars. This little gem is located on quaint and picturesque New England Ave. in Hannibal Square. The restaurant seems small when you first step in, but there’s a full bar and more seating upstairs. The service was fantastic. Our server Naresh was great! Everything I tried was delicious! utthapam sliders were fun, and accompanying sambar was some of the best I’ve ever had. Each piece of meat in the tandoori variety platter was succulent; seasoned and grilled perfectly. The lamb biryani, it is the best in Orlando. And this is coming from a self-proclaimed biryani aficionado. It is really that good. I wanted the butter chicken, but my friend needed something with zero heat. So lamb passanda it was. It was served with plain basmati rice. Also very good. All the food can taste amazing. But the true test of an Indian restaurant lies in its rice and naan preparation. And Mynt passed both tests with flying colors. They serve wonderfully fragrant long-grain basmati rice, and delicious naan the remained soft even until the end of my meal. Both cooked to perfection. In my opinion, Mynt, the sister restaurant to Saffron on restaurant row in Dr. Phillips, outshines it sibling.

I’m a huge fan of Indian food… and was really looking forward to trying out Mynt with some of my friends. I was a little apprehensive at the prices on the menu I saw online but still wanted to give it a shot. I’m always hungry for Indian! :) I made reservations for 4 of us for dinner. The space is small/intimate and comfortable with nice mood lighting. Very modern and white. There seems to be an upstairs area too, as we saw many people coming and going through a staircase. Our waitress answered all our questions promptly… but seemed to lack the warmth and friendliness that you would expect near Park Avenue. The manager checked on us which was nice. The table had«chips and salsa» on the table, which was papad and two dipping sauces… and I found that very creative! Great way to introduce papad and the sauces to first-time Indian diners, even though we were not. I wondered whether the restaurant’s menu may have been catered more to the«first timers» of Indian cuisine, and by looking at it… it was fairly well diversified. Nice tandoori options, masalas, etc. Most of my family and friends enjoys the Chicken Vindaloo mild, which is very similar to a Tikka Masala. The restaurant only had a lamb vindaloo… so I settled for the chicken tikka… at $ 19. It’s definitely twice the price of a typical lunch dish, but I figured it was either a very good amount of food or it had exceptional flavor. Neither was really the case. The chicken came in a really cool diagonal bowl, and I shared a side of rice with someone else. The amount of chicken in the bowl was probably the amount of one chicken breast… and the flavor was fairly traditional. So in summary… I may come back for lunch, but probably not dinner. I really can’t justify paying $ 20 for a lunch-sized dish that tastes no different than any other Indian restaurant. It wasn’t bad food at all, just not memorable food. I’d rather spend $ 20 for a spectacularly-flavored dish that I will rave about to friends and can’t really get anywhere else.

Delicious and only $ 16 for the Sunday brunch deal, score! Table side buffet, you are one gorgeous beast! Had Indian about a week ago and couldn’t stop craving it. Wanted to try this new spot out so we biked over this afternoon. It’s brand new in Hannibal Square and a welcomes addition. We were offered the Sunday brunch right when sat down and when they started naming everything included, I just said yes for the whole table. No one was disappointed. We didn’t even ask the price so when the check came, we were all in a happy shock. Check out what we feasted on: — A glass of Champagne to start, yes! — Coriander Soup — it was so light and full of flavor. It was the perfect pallet prep. — Then we had some fried onions fritters, no idea what the name is and I can’t find it on the regular menu. The dips they put on the table were a perfect pair for these as well. These were addicting — For the main course, Naan and Jeera Rice accompanied with four dishes: — Mynt Paneer — Fresh cottage cheese marinated in Yogurt, Fresh mint, and Garam Masala — Old Delhi Butter Chicken — Julienne chicken served over creamy, Tomato, and Butter sauce — Tandoori Chicken pair — full of flavor and cooked well but not overdone — Dum Aloo Globi — Potatoes and Cauliflower simmered in onion tomato paste — Dessert: Gulab Jamoon and Mango Pannacotta Yes, two tastes of desserts and they were both delicious and together they sang in a heavenly melody. YESPEOPLE, all of this spread for $ 16 — it was amazing. The service was great and it wasn’t too busy. Of course, after everyone learns of this awesome spot it will be so get there now to check it out. There is outside seating, a few tables inside and an upstairs. Love the décor, especially the classy and comfy white chairs! Go now!
