Great coffee shop just south of 4th Street. Ambiance in the main lounge area is excellent and they have plenty of seating with tables and outlets in an attached room near the back entrance. They even have a large conference room you can use beside lounge area! Good coffee, excellent chocolate truffles and the customer service couldn’t be better or friendlier.

Really enjoyed visiting this cozy coffee shop! They have a great selection of coffee and freshly baked goods. They were so pleasant when I stopped by to take most of their baked goodies to a meeting. The location is very convenient with lots of parking nearby. I look forward to visiting again!

Great new coffee shop. Convenient to downtown and a great addition to it. Good meeting spaces and nice comfy seating. Its easy to get in and out and fast to get served… so its perfect for your morning«on the way to work» stop. It nice to see a coffee shop focused coffee shop… especially as others downtown have become focused on things other than coffee. I just don’t have time to wait behind 12 people ordering handcrafted breakfast sandwiches for a cup of coffee on my way to work. Nice selection of snacks and coffee drinks.

Friendly coffee shop with fantastic baked goods and a variety of tea and other drinks to pick from. I love the interior design! Probably the best looking cofee shop in Winston.

Twin City Hive is my favorite coffee shop in WS. The chai latte is easily one of the best I’ve ever had! The rest of the menu boasts coffee from local roasters, tea, and treats and chocolates. There is ample seating both inside and outside and they are dog friendly making this the perfect stop on walks with my dog. The staff and owners are always friendly and welcoming making this my go-to spot for my caffeine fix!

I love the many coffee shops in Winston-Salem for different reasons: some for the coffee, some for the location, and some for the seating options. When I’m considering all of those qualities, though, Twin City Hive is at the top of my list! Here’s why: — Great coffee, tea, and dessert menu(plus a great selection of local gifty-type items) — Lots of seating and tables(love the new space!) with ample plugs and light, along with a great patio — Great location — close to downtown with easy parking — there’s a lot with no meters!

This is my new favorite coffee shop!!! I can’t believe it took me this long to find this gem! You can tell that the owners put a lot of love and effort into making this place as comfy, beautiful and cozy as it is. Very nicely decorated with excellent attention to details. Lots of comfortable seats in the main area. They also have a section in the back and a pretty big room as you enter from the front entrance(the entrance close to Di Lisio’s). Perfect spot if you want to study or work. Very reliable wifi. Good coffee. We came on a Sunday morning and the place was busy but not terribly packed. Talked to one of the owners and he was super friendly. As I said, I absolutely love this place! Will definitely be back. And oh, don’t forget to check in Unilocal to get the delicious chocolate truffle!

I had been wanting to check this place out for a while, and finally made it. They have free wifi, and enough seating to work or study. I didn’t find the staff incredibly helpful or friendly. I ordered the iced nitrogen coffee and it is fantastic. Very good. I didn’t try any pastries, but they looked good. There was a good mix of people working and studying and hanging out. They have a room you can reserve, which is always good to know. They also have little local things you can buy, which is sort of cool.

Sweet victory. I don’t know why it took me so long to visit Twin City Hive as its 5 minutes from me. I think I’ve been to every other café in the area and until now have not been impressed. Let’s break it down: 1. The coffee is the tastiest, by far. 2. So much seating. There are a few outside tables, there is a cozy room with couches, and there’s basically a big study room with tables near windows. 3. Great location near downtown, BUT with the convenience of a parking lot! Holler! 4. The baked goods and treats are in covered glass so bugs don’t hang out on them(that shouldn’t have to be said, unfortunately it does.) 5. Pet friendly! And it’s next to a local pet store, so it makes sense. 6. Laid back vibe, friendly staff.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place! love their coffee, food, and seating. if you like the normal coffee flavored drinks they have them but if you love black coffee as much as I do, they have a variety of flavored black coffees which Imhave not found anywhere else in Winston.

Twin City Hive reminds me so much of a popular downtown coffee house that is no more. I noticed the last time I ate at the Italian spot next door, this really attractive coffee spot that just had my name written all over it! Christmas Eve morning we popped in on our way to Old Salem, and much to my delight I was blown away with everything they seem to be doing here! It’s quaint, but oh so comfortable with some couches, chairs, and small tables to accomodate everyone’s taste! The couches are in great shape, my pet peeve with coffee houses, and the room just makes you want to sit and read or just conversate with a friend! The coffee is on a rotation of local brews, and todays coffee couldn’t have been any more delicious! The small glass cabinet houses desserts made in-house which if your in this business, should be! Today we sampled one of their Lemon Bars, which normally wouldn’t be my first choice, and to say it was delicious would be a real understatement! The owners, which were on site, were extremely hospitable and forthcoming about their business. The bathroom was not just clean, but immaculate and nicely decorated which made you seem as though you could hang out here for awhile. Though I don’t feel as though the name does their business justice, if that’s the only thing to complain about with TCH I’ll take it! Here’s to hoping that they make a long run in downtown Winston-Salem!

I spent two weeks in Winston looking for the best coffee shop and in my humble opinion this place was the clear winner. The barista(possibly the owner?) was super knowledgeable and friendly. He won me over with one of the yummiest dirty chai latte with pumpkin syrup made in-house. Seriously, I don’t give 5 stars often but the love put into everything, the emphasis on local products, and that ridiculously delicious cheesecake cookie bar thing nudged them up to 5-star status. Oh, and I got minr to go but really appreciated the ambiance. Dim lighting, plenty of seating. These guys do it right! I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

I wrote a review about just how bad an experience someone can have at this locale. Someone turned it into Unilocal … so as to artificially inflate the score this place receives. Here is what Unilocal said on removing the review: «We wanted to let you know that we’ve removed your review of Twin City Hive. Your review was brought to our attention by the Unilocal community, and we found that it fell outside our Content Guidelines as it did not appear to describe a customer experience.» Here is what my review, which described a customer experience with this business, said. It is the full review. «Removed Content: Visited this morning. Walked in. Shop was empty. Heard someone in the back room. They did not come out to serve. Turned around and left. I give one star because the space looked nice.» Let’s keep Unilocal real everyone, both customers and businesses, that way it is useful.

Great environment for getting some work done but there needs to be more room in my opinion but that is hard to do. The nitro coffee was very good but I got a lot of ice in mine I would recommend asking for a little ice if any. The coffee cake was just fantastic I highly recommend it.

Twin City Hive is my jam. I just discovered this place and am enamored. First of all, everything they serve is local… the coffee, the pastries, the tea, the décor… Also, the owners do a great job of considering the environmental impact of their business and have developed their practices in light of that impact. From using the water(after filtering it) to water the flowers outside to composting their grounds to offering spaghetti strands as stirring sticks, they are serious about addressing their impact. Also, the owner’s homemade chocolates are dynamite… seriously amazing! Finally, I love the variety of locally made goods available for sale; they would make great souvenirs or gifts for loved ones. I want to be Queen bee of this hive!

Another one of the super awesome coffee shops that I stumbled across in Winston Salem. Who knew the place was such a coffee town? The owner/manager of this shop is super friendly and informative. He was very interested in answering any of my questions. He even let me in on the story behind the ghosts at the hotel I was staying at. Everything here is locally made. There are cute trinkets to buy from local artisans in addition to the food and drink options. The mocha I got was pretty good and very robust. The coffee cake was awesome and he even heated it up for me. The prices are in line with Starbucks but by shopping here you are giving back to some awesome local businesses. I would recommend a stop by!

As I said to the owners today«I’m so mad at you for selling cake pops.» They just started making and selling four versions of cake pops. The one I bought today was PHENOMENAL. I’m going to try some German Chocolate cake from their new dessert vendor soon. But I“m really mad at them about these cake pops because now I need to come in there and try the rest.
