The chef should be embarrassed to serve food like the entrée I ordered. Ordered the seafood trio. It came out missing the scallops. Half of the salmon piece was ¼ inch thick and dry, disgusting. Will not be coming back. A darn shame, this brand usually has great food.

Last night, I went out at eat at Charlie Brown’s and it was awesome. That salad bar was rad. 11⁄10!(That means that it was better than perfect) The best part was the service. ITWASOUTOFTHISWORLD! I had a great time. That girl with the Pink Glasses was awesome. She was attentive and polite. I didn’t catch her name but I remember her glasses. My glass was never empty and I left with my belly full. More places need servers like her in the area. I mean most of the time you go to a chain place like this and they speak off of a script and you feel like you’re talking to a robot. Not this place. It’s got personality and I wholeheartedly believe that she’s a big part of that personality! I had the Ribeye and my wife, Sheila, had the Italian nachos. My Ribeye was cooked perfectly… which is surprising because places like this never really get the steak done right. I like my steak where a good vet could bring it back to life… and they NAILEDITHERE! I will definitely be coming back. Probably one of the best little known places on that boring stretch of 541.

I’ve heard good things about Charlie Brown’s salad bar but I don’t come across one of their locations very often, so I just had to try this one when I saw it on my way to Mt. Holly. I had no problem getting a table on a Sunday evening. Seeing as how it was my first time, I didn’t want to order anything too elaborate, so I settled on Mrs. Brown’s Meatloaf. The ambiance in the dining area was comfortable and relaxed, with soft lighting and low noise level. I tried a representative sample of items from the salad bar. It was pretty good. The vegetables seemed fresh enough, with no frozen bits. The various mixes, dressings, and salad toppings were flavorful. The only thing that was missing that I thought they should have was some kind of egg. I also wished they had some kind of fruit other than the honeydew/cantaloupe mix. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were prepared pretty well, although I felt that the dish was really too simple and the portion size was too small to justify the menu price. Biggest problem was the slow service. Although the server was very courteous, it should not have taken so long to prepare my check and take care of the coupon and Handshake Club points.

Heavy pour on the bourbon which was nice. Just ordered crab cakes at the bar and they were good. Fruit flies were prevalent throughout my meal though.

This is my second time here and i thought i would. give it another chance before rating Charlie Brown’s. This time was a Monday. They have a series of daily drink specials and Monday is good if you are a beer drinker. The menu is diverse but i chose a signature cheese burger. The burger was grilled to the correct level but the taste was bland and the meat had a lot of fine bone and gristle. the fries were soggy and warm vice hot and crisp. The coleslaw was from a bag and not fresh. On my previous visit i had a trip to the salad bar which was pretty good. Think i may give it one more chance but am skeptical. Recommend a pass right now.

This place is a ripoff. The good things: salad bar, seniors love it. Bad things: Your order is almost guaranteed to come out incorrect. If the waitresses or waiters aren’t busy, instead of helping others they stand around staring into the sky. The portions are a joke for the prices. The amount of fries they give you barely count as a handful. Tonight alone I saw a waiter spill a beer on a customer, a waitress spill a glass of water, and my order came out incorrect. Save your money and go elsewhere. This place is not worth it.

Sooo over priced for what you get. I got the shrimp scampi and it was rubbery. The garlic mashed potatoes were okay, but so dry. Don’t you just hate it when you have a mouthful and the waitress comes over and ask if everything is okay, then when you want the bill, you can’t find her??? Ugh!!!

Great steaks on a Saturday night. The Prime Rib was well seasoned and fork tender. Chloe’s Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. The salad bar was clean, well kept and stocked with a nice variety of veggies and salads with a big basket of assorted breads. All around a very nice meal.

My mother swears by their salad bar, or more specifically the bread that accompanies the salad bar. Spoiler alert: the bread is free with and without the salad bar, because who is leaving their house for a salad? So the family and I stroll in her new year’s day because other places we closed. Coming here is akin to stepping into a non-stop retirement party. The waitresses are old, the patrons are old, the décor is old, the smell is old. It is just an old place that old people love. I kind of love old people, so I was game to try the Jersey based chain. I ordered off the 9.99 menu and got meat, vegetable, and a potato or 10 bucks. The food was decent. The mashed potatoes were good. The meat a bit rubbery and the broccoli was broccoli. All in all the food was just food. The waitress called us honey/sweetheart while refilling our mis-matched water glasses. I had fun feeling like I was retired for the day. However if you are looking to get loose you better get out of Charlie Brown’s.
