Regular to Prospecters! Salad bar is huge, great variety, love it. Our favorite dish is chicken and broccoli, and the hot rolls with honey butter. Soup of the day is a must try! Steaks; issue with being cooked as ordered. Take out very convenient, but double check your order before leaving the take out window. Best waiter, ask for«Mo» a true professional!

I’m going to start by saying they have a GREAT salad bar, hard to find a better one around this area. Real grilled chicken, chicken salad, tuna salad, beans, 3 kinds of lettuce, all different fruits, abt 10 different dressing options. It’s awesome. In the Summer for lunch you can get unlimited soup and salad for like $ 7.99…can’t beat that anywhere. On the weekends, Brunch is Phenomenal for $ 13.99(drinks not included). Waffle and Omelette stations, pastries, cookies, cakes, salad bar, and hot food stations(ranging for eggs benedict, bacon, sausage, homefries, mozz stix, buffalo nuggets, etc). Well worth the price. Wednesday was my first time trying the ribs. I did not go in with the intention of getting ribs, but I will now go back with the intention of getting them. $ 18.99 on Weds for a Full-rack, 1 side, and salad bar. The rack was huge, meat came right off the bone, was very flavorful. I was impressed, although I have not had a bad meal here. If anything I would say it gets a little crazy at times with kids all over the place and service can also be slow/lacking at times. The place is huge, so I understand there’s a lot going on sometimes. Definitely give this place a try. If you are into country music they have line-dancing in the club area next door… weds and thurs I think they do lessons, it’s a cool experience and fun night out.

The place reminds me of Ponderosa from way back when but it’s more than that. The theme is country western and the food is REALLY good. The service was a bit slow but there were a lot of people there so I let that pass. I would definitely go back again. It was a good time.

Came in for dinner for 4 on a Saturday night. They said a 20 minute wait and we were seated within 15. I ordered prime rib rare with asparagus and salad bar. The dinner rolls were hot and fresh and the salad bar was delicious. Lots of options, I think you’d be able to feed a vegetarian salad lover. My prime rub was cooked rare and I savored every bite. Very satisfied with my meal.

Nice atmosphere! Food was average at best. First of all, their dinner rolls were great! It was hot, soft, sweet. They paired very well with the sweet cinnamon butter that came in the basket. For my entrée, I ordered a cup of chili and the mushroom and swiss burger. The chili was topped with beef and kidney bean chunks and garnished with a dash of shredded cheddar. It was good, but not phenomenal. The chili had a teeny bit of kick and the beef was well seasoned, but it seems to be missing the tomato flavor component which would make this an A+. The mushroom and swiss burger was very disappointing as it tasted like dry cardboard with bitter mushrooms. The ground beef had no taste(not even the basic salt and pepper), and the mushroom had a strange slimy bitter flavor(probably from sitting for too long). It was probably the worst burger I’ve ever had and that speaks a lot considering I’ve been McDonalds plenty of times in my life.

There’s not too many places like this around the area; a country western themed restaurant/bar that is also a good place for a family meal at reasonable prices. We went during the week, so can’t comment on the atmosphere/crowd when it’s busy on the weekends. They have a decent sized menu. Everything we ordered was spot on; the food and service was great and they even have a rewards program that we signed up for. The special for the night was T-bone steak which was a nice size cut. All the other dinners were nice sized portions and we took most of it home. The dinner rolls were great as well. We definitely will be back to check out the happy hour.

I went on a Sunday for brunch. I was not impressed. Although they have a nice crowed of people. The buffet selections was cold at lease most of them. For instance one of the sausages was cold and crepes was chewy. The eggs was not from real eggs, I believe it was the liquid eggs, the waffles was located in a room. The line was long. Food over was salty!!! The only thing I enjoyed was the mimosa!!! Delicious.

Stopped for an early dinner and we were so disappointed with the food. We ordered from the«specials» menu, stuffed tilapia and beef filet tips. The fish was far from flakey… it was overcooked, and the baked potato was so hard, it was undercooked. I asked for no onions with my filet tips and when it arrived, it was full of sautéed onions. The beef tasted like liver, and it was just a complete let down. I asked to speak with the manager and explained our issues with the meal. He did take off the fish dinner from our check. As we were leaving we caught one of the servers getting a pizza delivered in the back. I guess that server had the right idea. This restaurant is one we will skip in the future.

We’ve been coming to this steakhouse for years, I can’t believe I’ve never written a review! Unfortunately its been going downhill though because its conveniently located we keep coming back. We’ve found if you stick to steaks it was generally OK. However, this evening 3 people ordered the T-bone special and the general consensus was that they were tasteless and 1 didn’t even look like a t-bone. I had chicken fajitas and the chicken didn’t seem home cooked, it tasted and had the consistency of the pre-cooked, frozen supermarket chicken. Add to that a very pedestrian beer list and i don’t think I’ll be looking forward to returning. The only saving grace was Mohamed who was an excellent attentive server.

I had never heard of this place until Trish started raving about their baked sweet potatoes. When we happened to be nearby on a Sunday it seemed like a good prospect(had to do it;)) for a family meal. This is a very large business, with multiple dining rooms, bar and music venue as well. Judging by the vibe, country music must be its focus. The feel of the place is chain like, but I was unable to find any other similar restaurants after googling, is it possible this is a 1 off? No matter, I was nostalgically happy when I saw that a salad bar is featured front and center. Say what you will about SB’s, some of us of an older age have fond memories of these quaint relics. Believe it or not Whole Foods was not the inventor of the concept, and back in the day places offered it gratis, and not for like $ 8 a lb. We were quickly seated in an old West decorated room, the late afternoon business was not overpowering, but they were far from empty. Noise level was actually very nice too. After picking out a few choices from the lunch specials menu we noticed that this portion is not available on Sunday, so back to the drawing board. Our very friendly and helpful waiter Anthony never rushed us, and we found it telling that he was able to memorize all 4 of our orders, they all arrived as ordered as well. Trish and I added on the SB for $ 5, which is a great deal. I think you can just get the SB as a meal also, the cost differs depending on day and time but is around $ 10 give or take. Once you grab your chilled plate you will encounter some nice choices. No spring mix but nice iceberg or romaine, then it’s up to you to customize with many of the usual suspects. There is also Asian pasta salad, potato, tuna, chicken and a few others. Real blackened and grilled chicken, excellent cottage cheese and a few selections of fruit. Maybe what impressed me the most was the real bacon near the other top off items. Do they realize how much cooked bacon can fetch per lb? The kids liked their kid meals, and we both enjoyed our sandwiches. Trish had a mushroom Swiss burger that was cooked as requested, she pronounced it yummy. I had a grouper sandwich that was better than expected. A very large piece of fish not over breaded and tasty and flakey inside. Served with rye bread, Swiss, copious lettuce and some tomato. I literally could not grasp this thing, so I took up fork and knife. You can sub out the fries for other side dishes, I tried the fried cauliflower and everyone tasted and agreed it was good. This is not the typical kind of place that I would choose. But after this nice experience I can see myself returning. Great service, great example of a salad bar, and casual and fresh food. 4 it is what it is Unilocal(forgive me, I hate that phrase but it is appropriate here)

I hadn’t been here before today in years. No reason other then not being in the area often. They(still) have a tremendous salad bar, which could truly BE your whole meal, their yummy dough-alicious honey triangle shaped bread and large portions. I had a nice ‘bloody’(rare) mushroom & swiss burger w a side of cream spinach. Both were VERY good! Vince had a grouper sandwich and a side of fried cauliflower. Both VERY good too! My kiddies had — mac and cheese & a cheeseburger, which both enjoyed. I hooked up my girl w a salad from the bar as well that she liked a lot — esp the small cup of sunflower seeds ;) We are tossing around going to brunch now after this nice excursion. Im glad to be reunited with Prospectors!!! (our pix don’t do the food justice)

I have a love/hate relationship with Prospector’s. I love and adore their salad bar since it has real grilled chicken pieces(not that spongy processed chicken crap) and real pieces of bacon(not bacon bits) and I like the dinner rolls that are served by their always polite and friendly staff. Where I have an issue is that I have been here about 6 or 7 times and I hate any entrée dish I get. It’s rather frustrating. I tried a burger, a chicken dish, a steak dish, but to no avail, I leave Prospector’s disappointed each time that I was unable to connect with any entrée worth writing positively about. Despite my persistent bad luck, I still think it deserves at least three stars. An awesome salad bar plus the potential of enjoying a winning entrée makes this place worth recommending to you. Hope you have better luck.

Maybe I am partial because I grew up coming here? I remember Sunday brunches and occasional dinners. It’s got a country vibe now. Brunch is still awesome. Everything is fresh. Drinks are good. Portions are large. I’ll keep coming back.

Prospector’s is a great place to bring the kids for an early dinner or for young adult country music fans to hang out in the evening. The food is not bad, but it is nothing to rave about. They have gotten pricier over the years and are near the top end of the $$ range. The food quality is certainly not commensurate with their price point. Order off the menu. Their«specials» are nothing special; they simply cost more. But it is a fun place. The bar has TVs to watch sports, the nightclub is known throughout the area as being a good time, and the restaurant is family-oriented.

Ehhh, I really didn’t like this place. I came here with co-workers for lunch and its pretty much as average as you can get. I probably wouldn’t ever go here on my own time. They have out door sitting in the shade which is nice. There’s also a salad bar but being a carnivore I didn’t check it out. I heard it’s supposedly to be better than average. For my lunch, I order the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake came out brown and burnt. Supposedly if your food comes out brown is comes from being cooked in old oil. I didn’t like my sandwich too much, I could taste the burnt favor which made the food unpleasant to eat. My sandwich came with fries and tartar sauce. The tartar sauce had this yellow hue around the edges like it’s been left out for too long and started to loose the freshness. The fries were big and enjoyable but nothing out of the ordinary. The prices here are okay for the large serving you get. This wouldn’t be a regular go-to lunch spot for me.

Good food. Good service. Good size portions. Nice atmosphere. We ate inside but the outside area seemed cozy too. Go try it out. We are already talking about our next visit. The menu is diverse with many selections. I had the chopped steak and it was good. Others in the group had chicken sliders, crab cakes, a burger, Mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes. The baked yams were huge. And the bread is top notch if you like warm bread with honey butter. Carrissa did an excellent job as our server.

My sister-in-law was getting a group of friends together for some line dancing! Or basically to watch some line dancing :) We tried. we really did. I think if i were to have a one-on-one with the instructor I could get my steps in line. Huge place. Main dining room to the left, open bar, dance floor to the right. Friendly bartenders, music was a a good mix. I actually wanted to hear more country songs. Couple of plaid shirts in house and the age range varied. Side note, the nachos are terrible. I’m sorry, the homemade chili is God awful, please change it. Canned chili would be better.

Took my parents there for dinner this week. Salad bar is HUGE and mostly stuff you actually put in a salad, such as fresh veggies, cheese, and hard boiled chopped eggs. Also tuna & chicken salad, some fresh fruit, and real bacon and croutons. Entrees were very good and priced reasonably. Shared a dessert and had coffee. Definitely will be back(I use Entertainment coupons and have two more for next year!).
