The line at the Abbey was no bueno so a girlfriend and I stumbled over across the street to good ol’ Robertsons. $ 5 cover?! No cash or ATM card. Friendly bouncer and promoter let us in, hazzah. You walk up the stairs into funland. In the back, there are stairs going down I think look like XXfunland. I did not go to there; I’d like to go to there. Something to look forward to for next time. Basically, think of Abbey with two dance floors(music options are always appreciated especially when there is hip hop involved), less girl gogo dancers(wah!), more krumping(YAISQUEEN), and slightly more expensive drink($ 12 fireball shots). Had a blast dancing the night away. Friendly crowd– hella dug it. Will be back– probably would pregame somewhere else, but will be back for the dencing. Dence, Dence!

I was pushed and verbally assaulted by one of the strippers. His attitude toward me killed the mood. Luckily the General Manger, Molly, handled the issue in a very appropriate and professional manner. However, the actions put forth by the stripper are unacceptable. I have multiple choices when it comes to which clubs I can attend in West Hollywood, I chose the Robertson and I was let down by their incredibly disrespectful entertainment. The entertainment’s name is Raffy. I may be back here in the future, but it will not be my first choice.

I tend to only go on Friday nights, but downstairs always has awesome music. Dj Goodboy is my fav. Music is always on point. There’s a bar down there also so you’re all set. Would definitely recommend people check it out

Tricked by one of the bouncers who gave us drink vouchers to convince us to come in with a cover charge. The catch was vouchers were only valid till 11 and it was midnight. When we got in, place was empty. Everything was overpriced. Overall my experience here was unworthy. Try here lounge you’ll have a better experience.

If I could give zero I would. It’s gay pride. We’re all out having fun. I hand over my credit card only to be told to ‘move so I can make sure I get some tips’. I get it. Fine. We move to the end of the bar: after ordering well over $ 200 — no problem. We were asked to leave. There was probably 8 people in the club… on Pride Saturday night. I’m sure they all had fun. Meanwhile we’re all over the road looking at the empty bar laughing… Bad choice parole

Fantasy Fridays is wack. I went twice just to make sure. It’s overprices, crowded and everyone is clicked up. Hard to meet cool people. I spent $ 15 on an L. a water and 5 at the door. Dance floors are tiny, they are lucky they have hot dancers or else…

Last Saturday, I was invited by friends to an event called Rasputin at the Robertson. As a novice club-goer, I’ve never been to the Robertson and jumped at the opportunity to hang out with some friends, drink, and dance the night away, or so I hoped. Everything appeared to go smoothly as I walked into the club because I already had a few drinks in my system since we all know the typical college student cannot afford overpriced, watered down alcohol occasionally served by rude bartenders. As my friends and I explored the confines of the club, a security guard asked me to walk up and down the stairs. I figured this was his way of giving me a sobriety test, so I kindly obliged and did as I was told. Walking down the stairs and back up, I wondered what it was that I did to make the security guard do that to me, but feeling buzzed and a bit embarrassed, I quickly shrugged it off and continued to dance with my friends. As the alcohol in my body started to metabolize, I made a trip to the whiz palace and as I was making my way through the dance floor to find my friends, the same security guard was motioning me to follow him. At this point, I didn’t know what exactly was going on and before I knew it, we ended up outside of the club. The security guard began to tell me that I was highly intoxicated and denied me access into the club. As flabbergasted as one could be, I tried to reason with the security guard by telling him I’m fine, my friends are inside, and a series of, ‘are you kidding me?‘s started to escape my mouth. I was going nowhere with the security guard so I walked back into line and went through the same routine with the bouncer. It was a never ending cycle and by this point, I wasn’t a happy camper. I was talked downed to, told to walk down the street to the Abbey, and even offered a drink if I came the following week(though I would’ve taken the offer if they weren’t just saying that to brush me off and patronize me). My friends eventually made their way out of the club to find me and I began to tell them how unfair and ridiculous the security guards were being. Since nothing could be done about my denied entrance, we all left the club since the drunchies started to kick in. We went to a Thai restaurant and as I was enjoying some tom kha kai, I decided to call the club and make a complaint. No one picked up so I called some more and left a message with my name and number. However, they failed to respond to me, so I decided to write a Unilocal review about how terrible my experience was. It was humiliating to be kicked out of a club for being ‘highly intoxicated’ when I was only mildly buzzed and trying to have a good time. I didn’t interfere with anyone else’s space nor did I infringe on any club policies. I’ve been to a club or two and witnessed behavior that would warrant this type of reaction(stumbling to the floor, knocking out on the furniture, picking fights, etc.) but I did nothing of that nature. So a word to the wise, don’t bother coming to this club, just by looking at the already dreadful reviews on Unilocal,I regret coming here at all…

cover charge, attitude at the door, too much«security» and after spending 14 for two heinekins, they were bussed away after less than five minutes by an overzealous busser. Complained to the short little bald bartender that sold them to me minutes earlier, and was rebuffed repeatedly. «Blame security.» Um, no, I blame you for being a douchebag. And I blame this sucky bar for having such lame management practices. Plus side: the music was great and the vibe was solid. The crowd on the dance floor was the only positive about this place. Stick to the Abbey.

Came here for my lesbian friend bday(on a Friday night), I paid cover charge – since my friends were running late I stepped outside. I tried to get back in and they wanted me to pay the cover charge AGAIN! I explained I already paid, I was told«you need to pay every time – even if you just stepped out.» I’ve never had a club make you pay a cover charge more then once in a night. — I felt this is more of a sexist thing(because I’m a gay guy on a lesbian night). Knowing it was ladies night the place was half empty at 11:15pm. A Cranberry-vodka was $ 13(not strong), Security doesn’t let you stand at any corner – so I felt people are treated like herds of cattle«you can’t stand here» or «move this needs to be clear». What are we in preschool? This place is a fucking joke. It’s overpriced and the experience here is nothing special. All I got from it is «being a lesbian will cost you here» I don’t plan to ever return to this place. Looking at the other Unilocal reviews, I now see why this place is so poorly rated. Dear owners take a note.

HORRIBLEDISGUSTING experience!!! I went there with 4 of my guy friends. We were having a decent time dancing but then the unthinkable happened to me… I was kicked out(by one of the owners) because«I had an attitude with him» after he stepped and stayed on my foot! I didn’t even push him off of me hard, it was my natural reaction to try and get him off of me so I put my hands up and shouted out a cuss word out of PAIN and lightly pushed his shoulder so he could get off of me. He obviously wanted to flex an entitlement muscle because that’s all he was able to show off. Verbatim he says«Oh you want to act like a bit*$ and have an attitude with me? I can kick you out if I want to!» I rolled my eyes and turned away back to my friends and Then he literally had a security guard come up to me and ask me to leave the club. I explained to the guard what actually happened & that the only way I was going to leave would be by force and to be carried out by the guards because i did nothing wrong and was trying to have a good time with my friends… the guard apologized and said he UNDERSTOODMYANGER but there was nothing he could do because that guy was one of the owners. The«owner» like a sneaky coward, slithered off into the crowd. Let’s just say it took 3 big body guards to convince me to leave peacfully and escort me out(followed by my friends…) The(or i shoudl say one of) owner was lucky he left when he did because I was so angry i could’ve scratched his eyes out. RIDICOULOUS. I will NEVER go back there again and i will make sure i tell everyone about that demeaning horrible experience. The Abbey, Trunks and all the other clubs on robertson are so much better anyways.

DONOTRISKYOURSAFETYCOMINGTOTHISCLUB! Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Was pick pocketed from inside the night club. A woman in front of me reported multiple wallets and phones being pick pocketed the same night. The bouncer said he may have accidentally let in a banned patron who was kicked out last week for multiple thefts. However they STILL decide not to have ANY cameras in the nightclub. The incident occurred within feet of security, yet they claimed to see nothing. I will never ever ever return to this place. Not to mention the bathrooms are disgusting. One of the worst experiences of my life.

I really wanted to like this place but this place fell short in so many ways. Cons Drinks: The drinks were overpriced for watered down mixed drinks. For instance, I bought a kettle on the rocks and beer for $ 24. I don’t think I have ever paid so much for a mixed drink and domestic beer. Security: I have never run into problems with security guards at a club until last night. Just from my observation, there must have been 2– 4 security guards on every dance floor. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely see the importance of having security, but it becomes problematic when they are just a nuisance. My friends and I were asked to move several times b/c we weren’t standing where we were supposed to be? It seemed like no matter where we stood it was the wrong area to stand(e.g., near the railings, bars, and in the middle of the dance floors). Pros Dancers: The less annoying part about the club. Music: The music was descent at the club. Each floor attended to different styles of music from hip hop to pop to EDM. Again, it would have been nice to fully enjoy the music without security butting in. All in all, I’d rather just walk over to the Abbey or Mickey’s and get a better experience for my money when I am out in West Hollywood.

Sometimes, you just want change. Sure Abbey is great, just once in a while you just need to venture out of your comfort zone. So last Saturday, me and my lovely friends went across the street instead to The Robertson, where Rasputin was the event for that night. First off, the usual valet parking had doubled to 20 bucks. Yup 20 bucks. It was just 10 bucks the previous week. Pretty miffed about that, but whatevs. The line wasn’t too long and there weren’t any covercharge. Awesome. Rundown: Bartenders: Only wearing Russian Cossacks and skimpy underwear. Still undecided if this was hot or not. 3 different rooms: Shadow box: There were several moments when I passed by and notice some naughty stuff.(avert the eyes, avert the eyes, one peek, avert the eyes) Outside Patio: fully lit, Entertainment: Very S&M meets the Furries. All in all, I did say that change is good. Sometimes just so you can reaffirm that what you had before was better. And this was certainly the case.

***************************** 1,011 ******************************* The Rasputin Club SAT night @ The Robertson, first week of JAN2014, always a line, but only about 10 minutes wait. If you don’t want to wait $ 5 fast pass like Disneyland. Gay club, of course! Just so that you know, but the Russian male dancers are HOT. I don’t mind the eyes candy. 3 dance floors, all different music, OK drink, cute club, with good company, I had a good time and danced my night away.

12.13.13 — The Rasputin Club(@ the Robertson) As described in my review of The Abbey, it was my wife’s friends & co-workers idea to hit up these clubs after the company Holiday Party. While standing(& freezing in 30º temps I might add) in the long line waiting to enter(11:30 ish), a couple«party hosts» were walking up and down the line announcing a $ 5.00 «fast pass». Mind you, free to get in. $ 5 to get in NOW! In which we opted to do. This place was packed! Took us several minutes to make it upstairs… and we went straight for the first bar we encountered. Service was friendly & fairly quick by half-nekkid bartender. Wait! Did I just fork over $ 40 dollars for 2 domestic beers & a glass of some unknown white wine? Well, hot shit… I did. Shame on me. We went straight outdoors to the patio to meet up with our crowd, and a short time later retreated back upstairs to the dance floor. Dancing with«our» group of people was lots of fun, but after grabbing my beer close by, I had a chance to look over the dance area and noticed this crowd is much different than the Abbey. So the guy/girl ratio here this night was about 80⁄20 quite possibly 90⁄10. A dozen or so dressed in extravagant costumes & some in animal(later told) «furries» attire. This place just made feel a bit uncomfortable all of a sudden. These guys just really lay it all out there. Walkin’ thru the halls, they’re lined w/acrylic walls with men’s «live» silhouettes doin’ their thing. And when I say, «doin’ their thing» that’s exactly what I mean. Male dancers were wearing nothing but boots & a c-sling playing«helicopter». And because the stages are about 3 – 4 feet high, the dancer’s junk is right in yer face as you try to maneuver thru the crowds, yo! Maybe we shudda called it quits after the Abbey. The wife saw my discomfort, and I quickly assured her I was fine. I think if she was fine with it she’d have stayed a little longer too, but the last sip from her no-name chardonnay, she said her goodbyes to the friends & co-workers…and we hightailed it outta there. I seriously wouldn’t have minded if there was a little bit more eye candy for the handful of straight guys. There was one female dancer & a scantily clad female model performing in a «live art» piece in a glass enclosed room. Both of them gorgeous in their own right and curvy in all the right places. Someone please confirm that they are in fact female… please! I guess I get it. The Rasputin doesn’t want to upset the«balance» I suppose… and NOT turn it into another«gay-club light» like the Abbey. $ 15 valet parking is advised unless you don’t mind driving in circles looking for an open space on the street. If you’re a straight male like me, this may not be the place for you. I’m deez® & you’ve been warned & informed. Take it as you please.

It’s a common theme with everyone. If you live in a certain area, you rarely ever go out around the same place you work, or reside. I have a job out in WeHo but don’t really explore everything it has to offer. A friend wanted to go out to this place called the Robertson this past Friday and I decided to roll with her. It was my first time at a lesbian nightclub, and it didn’t seem like it was that busy(I heard it was gay pride weekend in Vegas) but I actually had fun! Cool club layout with a spacious outdoor patio for smoking with its own separate DJ. They have female dancers for entertainment(this one dancer had some moves!) and overall I just liked the vibe. The crowd could be a little better though. The highlight of the night though was the bartender that served us our drinks, Stan. I kept joking with him that he should be a model that’s how hot he was! He made our drinks perfectly and was extremely friendly. If all bartenders were like that, then I will def be going out more around WeHo! All in all, good spot to go to. I will def check it out again especially if it gets a little busier.

Came on a Friday night and could not wait to leave. It was packed and hot and nothing too great. Plus, the line for the bathroom went on for ages. There were plenty of rooms and outdoor space, but I honestly would not have even remembered the place from any other bar if I had not checked in.

this place has the worst customer service i have ever experienced. I ordered a couple of drinks, somehow my card got lost behind the bar which was weird but no big deal and they told me i wouldnt have to pay for those two drinks. Thought nothing of it until a couple days later i checked my bank account and got charged $ 80 for only two drinks that i told i would get for free. I’ve tried calling and emailing for over a week now and have not gotten a reply from anyone. I’m not even so much concerned with the $ 60 difference or so that i was charged but the fact that no manager or owner has the decency to call me back and straighten out a problem that a customer has. Not only was i inconvenienced with no way of spending money for i week i was charged $ 80 to do. Hope the bartenders enjoyed their tip. Would never go there again, what a joke. First taste of weho and definitely not a fan!

Decent party option in WeHo. Came for a private party hosted by a friend, so no lines, no cover, and no hassel. We had food catered by the kitchen and that was a nightmare. Food came out 2 hours late, and everything tasted horrible. Drinks were a-ok, but the bartenders were real cute. DJ was spinning 80’s and 90’s — my kind of music. God I’m getting old. Only 1 stall for the bathroom, makes for a very long line! Plan ahead or use the opportunity to chat up the hottie standing in line next to you.
