Just as I expected, every dish here was great! Too bad they didn’t thane the lobster roll on the menu at the moment, but I’m sure I will come back again. Beef tartare was great, must get it with caviar! But my favorite dish was actually the buckwheat blini. Quinoa salad was good, tasted perfect. The fish platter was so so, I won’t order it again, but didn’t hurt to try.

Came in for an early birthday dinner during Dine LA week. Menu was wonderful — Blinis with three different kinds of roe, the favorite being trout roe, outstanding! This was followed by Duck Breast and then Panna Cotta. Wife had the same blinis and then Sea Bream, ending with Chocolate Ganache. We had the wine pairings, which were very good. In fact, the rum, SelvaRey, was so good that I had to buy a bottle on line when I got home. I would never have guessed that this intimate restaurant was such a culinary high point in Los Angeles. Service was professional, in fact so much that they brought a little stool for wifey’s handbag. Just like in Paris, which is where the new chef(Alexandre) is from. We will go back for more very soon!

The service was very slow, not enough staff to cover all the tables. It apepars that they needed another server to be more efficient. The food was better than OK but not over the top OK. The duck was excellent. However, the wine list should be tossed, and that should be easy ssince it boiled down to only 3 pages of overpriced and limited selection. Not for those into wines for sure. We did the dine LA and the price was very good to the amount of food served.

The menu caters to fans of caviar which I personally don’t care for, however, the lunch burger which is $ 20 is easily the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. The meat is perfect, the flavors of the sauce don’t overpower. It’s all well balanced and the fries are a great compliment to the meal. Get the Pilsner with it and it’s a guaranteed great experience for $ 30. Actually a steal.

Petrossian… another great place for Brunch and Lunner~ food is maybe 3 stars, +1 star for the vibe and ambiance. First time there we did the caviar tasting 101 class, it was fun and informative. Then we went back for brunch couple of times, the caviar/sea urchin lobster roll is definitely luxe and photogenic in every way… except it sorta failed on the taste test. The lobster roll would have been better if it was toasted with some butter, and lobster salad lacked seasoning and flavor. But the salmon roe avocado toast and salmon caviar flat bread, beef tartare were all pretty good… plus a glass of bubbly, perfect brunch date :)

I can’t believe I’ve passed this gem for many years and never stopped by! It saddens me that I’ve could’ve experienced bliss a lot sooner .haha Celebrated an early birthday brunch and was just amazed with the excellent service and food they provided. They’re so cute. they were concerned with my health when I ordered a triple shot latte. I ordered the mind blowing Croque Madame and Brioche French Toast. There’s no words to explain how good their french toast was. I think it had banana inside. I wish I had taken pictures but was very hungry haha Thank you Petrossian for treating me like a Princess and for the little gift! See you soon ok

First, we have to agree and acknowledge that this is not your regular restaurant. Serving awesome caviar, and being among the best in it, expect it to be expensive. Now for the food. Egg Royale — you will be paying over $ 14 for a single piece of egg, made with caviar and cream and it is awesome. They serve it with the mother of pearl spoon which itself costs over $ 5. If I am to visit petrossian again, I would have the egg royale again. Blinis — your best bet to try caviar, salmon roe, pike roe. I loved it. Sunny side up — the best part in this dish was the salad. We were blown over. Omelette — nice. The lady attending us, the server was super sweet. She treated us like kings and to be treated such, it is ok to pay the high bill. I tried the Russian vodka and it was nice too. Highly recommended for good quality food and probably the best caviar you can get in the west coast.

Have been here for dinner awhile ago and just recently came here for brunch for the caviar and uni lobster roll. Surprisingly I was not that impressed. good for instagram photo but it was just okay. Could probably change up the bread. French toast was pretty good though and so was the salmon salad.

From the words of Robin Leach«Champagne wishes and Caviar dreams!» That is what you will experience while dining at Petrossian. I’m sure the original Paris location would be much more fancy so I will just have to bookmark that until I get there. Petrossian is definitely the pioneer in sustainability of this delicate import loved by so many. What an exquisite experience the caviar tasting dinner ended up to be and how great they offer it every third Thursday of the month. If I had my way, I’d be here every 3rd Thursday as well«Check Please!» ;) I learned so much about caviar, from the origins and history to the farming and harvesting it was quite a treat. The information alone was appreciated. Thank you Christopher(GE) for the excellent hospitality and for sharing the world of all that is caviar with us. I was most impressed by the plated presentations and the many ways caviar can be added to enhance a course. It is amazing how sturgeons differ from one location to another as identified with each tasting and how much it affects market value. I was pleasantly thrilled to sample so many and in the end to decide which ones I enjoyed more than the others. All the caviars were incredibly savory and pinning just one was not easy. Personally it came down to the Ossetra. So delicious and perfect for my palette I just had to purchase some for my own private party. I will certainly come back here and return for brunch and many more dinners. That’s right, I’m fancy huh? Only when the So Cal girl in me craves a little bit of richness and roe. There was so much to take in like the scallop starter, which by the way got cleaned out from one of the customers I couldn’t even buy some to take home. That’s telling you something. The starters tasting of tuna, cod, sea bass either smoked, caramelized or seared all were cosmic I couldn’t get enough of it. The borscht was so cool and yummy you wouldn’t see it coming because it looks so bright and pretty but it is super delicious. They were very generous with their king salmon and it was cooked perfectly, juicy and delicately crusted and not overdone. The caviar salad was a simple take on greens yet I would have never thought to merry them together. All in all it was a very memorable night. It brought me back to when I was first introduced to the finer things in dining and where my appreciation grew and my understanding broadened. So if your curiosity keeps buzzing, make your reservation and enjoy a night out on the town. It really is a warm, inviting and special place.

OK I’m hooked. I put together a small caviar tasting and reached out to Petrossian for help. I’m a novice so I needed to lean on their expertise and boy did they have it. They asked me last lots of questions to ensure a successful tasting. The attention to detail is flawless. Not only did they have a terrific selection of caviar, but they also have added smoked scallops, salmon and Patagonian tooth fish! The caviar was terrific. It really surprised us how good the smoked fish was. Absolutely stunning. Do not miss a chance to order some. Everything was shipped«next day». Packaging was well thought out. Items packaged in foil pouches surrounded in ice packs. For example the caviar tins were placed between 2 ice packs. This was put into a foil pouch. The pouches were surrounded by more ice packs all in a styrofoam box. In addition they even included a custom tasting sheets for the items we selected. Bottom line, Petrossian rocks!

I went there for my first time yesterday and let me tell you, we were very impressed! The place is very clean and calm inside. The staff are friendly and knowledgable about all their offerings. While this is not an inexpensive place it’s also not that expensive compared to what you would pay for caviar, specially smoked fish and champagne someplace else. We enjoyed everything we ate and will definitely come back.

Came here for DineLa and ended up having a FEAST! The interior is beautiful– all white and super classy. The servers are well versed in the food and are extremely courteous. After being seated, we decided to order a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. I would recommend a bottle or a glass, as it was a nice pairing. Since we had 3 people, we ordered everything/own of each on the dinela menu. They have 3 choices of appetizers and entrees so we decided to share family style. We also ordered some dishes from the regular menu to start. The buckwheat blinis came out first with trout roe, salmon roe, caviar, and pike roe. These little bites were so good! My favorite ended up being the trout. It was such a nice sampler of everything. Next up– the smoked fish platter with bread, sour cream, lemon, and olives. This was another great sampler– we got to try so many different types of fish! My favorite was the salmon carpaccio and the smoked fishes they had. It also had two different types of scallops and eel. Definitely recommend ordering this! The duck rillettes with figs, walnuts, onions, and goat cheese arrived. The sides went really well with the duck, and it was a solid dish. The textures and flavors complimented each other nicely, but not anything I would order again though unless you love duck. The beautiful Napoleon tartare was next. Flat iron steak tartare with capers and shallots topped with caviar. So delicious! We also got a side of egg to mix in, as yolk always adds a nice touch to the tartare. Another one of my favorite dishes. The DineLa appetizers finally arrived which consisted of Dungeness crab corn soup, egg royale, and a foie gras mousse. The egg royale was so good– soft scrambled eggs with caviar. I would recommend this delicacy! The crab soup was also delicious but on the heavy side– a nice creamy corn soup with a big helping of crab. The foie gras mousse was on the weak side– you can barely taste the foie gras and it was very light. Went well with the figs though. For Dine LA entrees, we got the tuna tartine and the avocado and salmon roe toast. We ended up canceling the croque Madame because we were too full. The tuna tartine was whatever, it’s a super healthy dish with too much greens. The avocado toast was good! Loved the toppings and the mix of ingredients. It also comes with a side of egg whites. Last but not least, we ordered their well renowned lobster roll with uni and caviar. The uni was super small, but other than that, it was good! They all actually go really well together, but I wish they used a different bread instead. We were so full at the end of our meal, and our bill definitely showed that. $ 300 for 3 for lunch haha definitely a giant feast. The dinela menu is totally worth it though! They even give you discounts on other food and caviar. Everything here was so good! I would definitely come back for a special occasion. They have displays in the front where you can buy different types of caviar, fish, and desserts. We took some caviar home, and I would like to buy some smoked fish as well next time!

You’re probably looking at this page because some of your friends posted up some delicious looking pics of their lobster roll with caviar & uni, right?! Well, you’ve come to the right place(though they’ve got much more than just the roll). Be prepared to splurge and clock out some decent pocket change here. Though you can come for happy hour(4−7pm I believe), the portions are quite small so you might as well go for the main entrees. Do grab their caviar martini if you happen to make it on time. Just imagine a dirty martini garnished with sturgeon eggs(low carbs and protein + omega 3s!)! As Petrossian is known for and specializes in caviar, you can pretty much have it topped off on anything you can imagine. They gave us a caviar salad on the house, which helped work up our taste buds for the heavenly goodness that was to come. The first dish that arrived was the caviar pasta, which was pretty damn tasty. It wasn’t completely loaded with the eggs(can be a bit too rich) and the sauce isn’t too thick either so you won’t be overwhelmed by it. My favorite dish was the beef tartare topped off with caviar. And when I say topped off, it is quite a generous layer of those lovely black eggs! Take a good chunk off the plate and layer it over the biscuits they provide. Man oh man, my mouth is watering just from thinking about it(might have to make a trip back again soon). Their foie gras selection is also damn good and something they specialize in(thank you for legalizing this heaven-in-yo-mouth goodness again, California). Try not to finish your other dishes too quick because you can also mix this together with the tartare and even on top of the lobster roll to make your palate much happier! I recommending coming with a group because there are so many dishes that you’d like to try all at once. Order a bunch and share! Petrossian, I will be back. =)

I am so disappointed and let down by this restaurant. I had this place on my list of restaurants I wanted to try for years and finally stopped by Saturday afternoon for brunch/lunch. I had heard such great things and it just did not add up to all the hype. Service was impeccable and we were very well taken care of no qualms there. Everyone from the hostess to our waiter were very nice. The décor of the place was nice. Crisp white all over, nothing really special. I ordered the eggs benedict with salmon and caviar, honestly, I have had WAY better eggs benedict at way cheaper restaurants. It was very bland and nothing to rave about; tasted as if something was missing. My mom got the lobster roll(based off all the photos and rave reviews on Unilocal). She had half the roll and couldn’t finish it since it was so heavy. The only good thing about the plate were the garlic fries(which you can get anywhere!) I was expecting SO much more and with a $ 80 dollar bill we got up completely unsatisfied and just overall unhappy. I will come by some time eventually to try something from their dinner menu, but probably not any time soon.

Feeling like splurging on some delicious caviar? Petrossian is the place to go. I came in tonight with one of my girlfriend’s and we had a wonderful experience. We came in at 5PM(right during happy hour) and snagged a seat quickly. PARKING: All street but for 2 hours it’s only $ 3. Although there aren’t many offered, if you do roam around you are bound to find one eventually. AMBIANCE: Such a cute restaurant. The front of the restaurant is a small boutique where they sell caviar and other little pastries. Very convenient to those who want to enjoy their caviar at home. FOOD: Happy hour is offered between the hours of 4−7PM. Their menu is similar to their regular menu just the portion size is much smaller. We started off our meal with the caviar for two which is $ 49. The caviar comes in a tin and it is amazing. Not too briny or salty and presented beautifully. We got several spoons to dive into our tin of caviar and ate it with some small and delicious pancakes and sour cream. Each bite was savory and delectable. 5⁄5 Afterwards, we indulged in their famous lobster roll(which is literally two bites off the happy hour menu) with uni and caviar. The lobster pieces were served cold but were sweet and succulent. The uni added a little bit of richness to it that complimented the sweet pieces of lobster. The roll was served with delicious french fries as well. 4⁄5 Then, we ate the bone marrow. The bone marrow was cooked perfectly and served with caramelized onions and some toast. Although the marrow didn’t have as much to scrape off, it was still decadent and divine. The onion jam was heavenly. 4⁄5 For our main entrée, we had the caviar pasta which was just whatever. 2⁄5 I was anticipating this the most. We got the full size, which is great to share amongst two people. Everything is cooked in house. Don’t get me wrong, the pasta is wonderful — nice and chewy. But the sauce is so bland. The pasta is cooked with caviar powder, chives, and cheese. All I tasted were the noodles. Honestly, I was hoping that the caviar would shine through the dish more. 2⁄5 SERVICE: Impeccable. At first, everyone was slow but things picked up during our meal service. Our server knew a lot about caviar and explained everything very thoroughly. He was kind enough to give us a complimentary glass of dessert wine since we drank a bit too much :3 I can’t wait to come back for their brunch!

Caviar 101 Seminar(first Thursday & Friday of every month) Call to reserve & make sure of the dates since my info may be already dated. The first time I ever had true caviar was in a 3 star Guide Michelin restaurant by the name of Lucas Carton in the Place Madeleine in Paris back in the 1980’s. One of their dishes in their Menu de Gustation was«Saumon Fume au Sauce de Deux Caviar» or Smoked Salmon in a Sauce of Two Caviar. Right away, I knew that one of the«caviar» was salmon, but I inquired about the the smaller, darker roe, and was told by the waiter that it was Osetra Caviar from Petrossian’s. That was the first time I connected the two words, Petrossian & Caviar together. For some reason, my curiosity about caviar did not extend more than eating caviar randomly at various restaurants without much further thought. However, recently I went to Petrossian with a group of friends for dinner, and one friend told me about Petrossian’s introductory caviar tasting seminar which just happened to coincide with our visit for dinner. Since I knew very little about caviar, I decided to take the 1 hour class which let you sample 7 different caviar &2 kinds of roe for $ 35 accompanied by a glass of chilled vodka or prosecco. 1) Trout Roe: small orange eggs that were sweet, delicate in flavor with a slight taste of salt. A good introduction for people who don’t like«fishy». 2) Salmon Roe: larger sized orange/pinkish eggs with more of an oily texture and briny sea flavor. 3) Chataluga Prestige: wild caught native American caviar that is small, grey and slight mushy in texture tasting of slight fishiness. 4) American Hackleback: wild caught with eggs that are firmer than the Chataluga with a more pronounced fish oil taste. 5) Classic Transmontanus: larger eggs are soft yet slightly firm with a very buttery, slightly nutty flavor with slight accent of sea. Excellent caviar for the price, and for me the 2nd best caviar in this series of tastings. 6) Transmontanus Pressed Caviar: For those who want the concentrated, strong«funk» of caviar with a slightly heavy, sticky texture. This caviar will work in dishes that require strong flavors or in a «dirty martini». 7) Shassetra Shrenki: To me this medium sized caviar had a taste of strong flavored oysters and the minerality of seaweed. 8) Tsar Imperial: smaller sized eggs with a subtle sea brine taste 9) Tsar Imperial Ossetra: For me, the best caviar in this group. Large sized eggs that were strong in briny flavor, but well modulated with a nutty firmness. It had an Umami in its finish that lasted minutes. This is one to be savored slowly with crystal clear, freezing vodka to act as a palate cleanser to refresh the palate for another slow savoring of this fantastic caviar. Christopher Klapp, the General Manager, was the instructor of Caviar 101, and I was impressed with his knowledge of his field as well as having an infectious enthusiasm for all things caviar. I learned a lot about caviar and sturgeon, the bearer of the magical caviar roe, and Mr. Klapp was very organized and charmingly informative. I was so «hyped» by all the samplings that I want to go to the Caviar 201 Seminar which takes place the last Thursday & Friday of every month. Again, call to reserve a space & make sure of the dates since my info may be dated. Latest info that I heard: Caviar 301 every 3rd Thursday of the month $ 125 for their premium caviar tasting. Reservation required. The staff at Petrossian is most accomodating and attentive. They certainly«up» the ambiance and service, and they have the grace and warmth that makes you feel that you are a valued customer. I’m really sold to the alluring nature that is Petrossian.

Cute brunch spot in Beverlyhills. Parking: I have to say though. PARKINGSUCKS. There is no parking garage or valet. You have to find street parking. On a lazy Saturday afternoon around 1pm… you will have to drive around and around to find one and if you are lucky, you would be able to find a spot. Good luck. Wait time: My boyfriend and I always make reservations wherever we go because we HATE waiting. We made a reservation for 2 at 1:30pm but we were not seated immediately even though there was an open table in the patio. The waitress told us that a party came before us(who did not have a reservation) and so we had to wait. She sat them down first and we had to wait another 5 minutes for the table to be set up. What’s the point of making a reservation? Service: We got 2 glasses of mimosa right when we sat down. and from then, it took 15 minutes for our waiter to come to our table to take our order… Gawd. 15 minutes. We had to ask 2 other waiters to bring our waiter. My boyfriend had to tell them we are in a rush to expedite everything because we were pretty annoyed. The food came out soon but do we really have to sit around 15 minutes just to order some food? Everyone’s time is valuable!(especially when you’re hungry) Food: We ordered lobster roll which had uni and caviar on it, scrambled egg with caviar and smoked salmon. I couldn’t order the eggs benedict because they ran out of hollandaise sauce. Food was good but we just ate and left as soon as we were done. Wish I had tried their desserts but I didn’t want to wait another 15+minutes. Oh well.

Had a nice dinner here recently. It’s usually pretty quiet at night, but some groups came in around 8pm. They function as a boutique and a restaurant and this is definitely the place to buy caviar in LA! The highlight of the evening was the Egg Royale with a Soft Scrambled Egg, Vodka Whipped Cream, Caviar! Yum! I could have eaten more than one of these. We shared the sea bass with bok choy, ginger, serrano chili, garlic, dashi, and sesame as well as the risotto with truffles for our mains. They were both decent, but the risotto could have been a bit more creamy. Desserts were a standout! We ordered the lemon ice box with meyer lemon, meringue as well as the homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches. There was not a crumb left when we were done!
