Had the huevos rancheros they were extremly delicious and my gf had the eggs benedict which I never like when she orders them but here they we’re extremly delicious. Also had the Mimosa drink it was an A plus as well which I was surprised. Overall good service, nice restaurant. Would. Be a 5 star but their dessert options to me where average. Definitely would come back when i visit West Hollywood again.

I’m a regular here twice a week on the weekends. It’s dog friendly, the service is impeccable and serving is ample. The food is exquisite and delicious — I’ve sampled nearly all dishes on the menu. My favorite is the short rib hash — it is served in a pan with grilled onions, potatoes, beef and two sunny side eggs on top. My boyfriend is a bodybuilder who always orders the steak and eggs — cooked and sliced to perfection. I’ve never — in all of LA’s eateries — tasted breakfast potatoes flavored and cooked to perfection! Plus, the almond lattes are mouth watering and well-priced! I love this establishment!

Amazing!!! The bottleless is the real deal!!! No water down drinks here. Unlike some places where you can drink endless amounts of «bottleless» mimosa and still feel fine because it’s bottomless orange juice! I got the power omlet it was great! I couldn’t finish it but brought the rest home to enjoy later. I also got a side pancake that was huge. I had to take the rest home. The staff is really nice and don’t let the line scary you I was in my seat within 10 mins!

Steven(Stephen?) was wonderful. Suggestions on par, on it with mimosa refills. Blood orange mimosas are soooooo worth the extra $ 2 Salmon platter good but nothing special They didn’t ruin the crab cake Benedict which is saying something cause they are so easy to fail miserably on Overall great experience and worth the trip

I love this place!!! Goodness the breakfast and the service was amazing. I had a french toast dish that was amazing! My date had a seafood type eggs Benedict that was joy in every bite. The staff is great, the location, easy to find and they have valet parking. I will be back to try more on the menu for sure!

Basix. The name sums it up. To echo the young slang of the moment… this place is for basic b*t*es. The food is nasty. It’s just gross. I ordered a crabcake which was a «complicated order» as I didn’t want the eggs benedict portion it normally comes with. Let’s get it straight… I’m asking you to take an ingredient(the crab cake) from a more complicated dish, put it plain on a plate and give me a lemon wedge. Pretty«Basic»… right? It took them 2 tries to get it right(the manager even had to step it) to help place the order. I don’t get it. Is everyone here just so frazzled they can’t take a simple order? The rest of our party got completely screwed on their orders as well. Things came out the wrong temperature, missing elements, including elements they asked to be left off, etc. I haven’t been back and never will again.

I had come her once before for lunch and wasn’t impressed by my cobb salad. But when a different nearby restaurant had bad service during breakfast hours we decided to head over here to basix. I am so glad we did, the brunch items were delicious. This is definitely a morning spot to go to. The stand out plate we ordered was the Avocado toast. the toast itself is actually a thick cut Rosemary and sage brioche. Wow what a dish. be sure to order it, you shouldn’t be disappointed.

Awww, what a great place for a Sunday brunch! My friend had the short rib hash, whereas I ordered the avocado toast(recommended by our excellent server!). Delicious all around! There IS a list, but it’s definitely worth the wait. There’s even a side patio area if you don’t plan on having anything alcoholic! The prices are what you’d expect in WeHo, and everyone on staff was friendly and efficient. Thanks guys!

Great brunch spot! We had the crab cake benidect and the breakfast burrito – both were really good. We also tried the Bloody Mary, it was spicy and really tasty! Not exactly the best I’ve had but definitely worth trying. The bottomless mimosas were great – the tasted fresh and had the perfect champagne to juice ratio. We will definitely be back soon!

I came here yesterday for brunch with my gf & it blew me away! We were sat outside on the patio. great weather & for people watching ;) & had the most amazing waiter! We got bottomless mimosas and he kept them filled all time! He was on point!!! Our food was great as well. I got bacon, eggs, & potatoes. I’m so ready to go back to try more!

Delicious brunch spot with pancakes as big as your face! I’m sure this place gets packed on the weekends, but I recently stopped by on a Tuesday morning and was delighted to have no wait at all. My friend and I were able to sit on the outdoor patio and enjoy the beautiful LA weather and WeHo people-watching. Our server was exceptionally patient(we took awhile to order since we got caught up in conversation), friendly, and never let my coffee cup run dry. I had a combination plate that included a pancake, bacon, and two eggs and thought everything was great! As they say, I licked my platter clean. The pancake in particular was fluffy and decadent — exactly what a pancake should be. My one warning is that if you don’t live in the area, you may have a difficult time finding parking. Shoutout to the manager who allowed my friend and I to park in the lot behind Basix/Marix since valet hadn’t started for the day, but I don’t think that is normally allowed. Thank you!

The perfect combination of casual but classy! We were on our way to The Comedy Store nearby and wanted a hearty but quick dinner that wasn’t fast food. I thought we would be stuck going to a coffeehouse café but the one we found up the road didn’t look halfway decent. I’m so glad we spotted this place walking up Santa Monica Boulevard, because it turned out to be absolutely perfect. We had dinner here on the Saturday of Presidents’ Day weekend and were seated right away in a great spot on the patio. There were also plenty of tables still inside. Our server Brett was terrific. We were short on time, and he got us in and out in less than an hour and was very friendly and helpful! When I asked for menu recommendations he gave me a long spiel about his favorites in each category, really giving me a great overview so that I could make a great choice. He let us know that the salmon and chicken burger patties are made in house so we each got them. The burgers come with either Caesar salad, fruit or regular fries for no additional amount. For the fancier truffle fries, it’s an extra $ 2 and it was worth it. The food was all well priced, tasty and fresh with big portions. I could even see the steam coming off of my friend’s chicken burger when I took a bite! Our server also charged my phone for me while we dined and was happy to do so. I really appreciated that because we had been taking Über and Lyft all day around LA, and my phone was down to a 12 percent battery by dinnertime. I would definitely come back next time I’m in WeHo or on my way to a comedy club nearby!

Three words: BLACKENED. CHICKEN. PASTA. Seriously. Just get it. Cocktails are always REALLY strong and well made for the price. We have gone to Basix for years and have never been disappointed. The wait staff is always fun and friendly(even often a little sassy), which makes your experience even better.

Basix is pretty basic overall across the board. Parking is hard to come by due to literally being on the corner of a busy Santa Monica street. The service was hot & cold. The servers were very attentive & friendly but the food wait time was out of control. Being a breakfast speciality restaurant the turn time should be quick. The food is honestly nothing’s special whatsoever, like other reviews stated, basic & kinda bland which is a shame. The pancakes was the only decent thing on the menu & their blood orange bottomless mimosa, but can you really go wrong with either of those? I would personally take advantage of the customizable parts available on the menu to stray away from the bland mediocre flavors.

This is a small restaurant on busy Santa Monica Blvd. There are tables for seating outside and inside. Service was pleasant and attentive. I was attracted to this place since I had read that it serves Peet’s Coffee, specifically Major Dickason’s, which is a strong, robust, dark coffee. The coffee was pretty good, but it was less strong that what I expected. It did not taste like Major Dickason’s, so I was disappointed. I had heard that the pancakes are the best. I ordered one large one($ 4.50), and although it was big, thick, and fluffy, it was definitely not the best I’ve had. It was a bit dry and too dense for my liking. Granville Café is still the best in LA, in my opinion. The BASIXSPECIALSCRAMBLE from the brunch menu($ 10) with potatoes was tasty enough but nothing special. Food is pretty good and coffee was not what I had hoped. There are better places to have breakfast in the area. parking — metered or free parking on some surrounding residential streets.

I’ve been here a few times. The outside seating is great when the weather is nice outside. I ordered the Grilled Chicken club with avocado, which comes with a side of fries. Had the iced tea as well. The sandwich itself was just okay. Too much bread for me. I think it would have been much better with mayo, but I had ordered it without in an effort to try and eat healthier. Although, I should have gotten a side of ranch to go with it. The service was great. I don’t remember the waiter introducing himself. The water and iced tea were consistently being filled without having to ask at all. I much rather prefer this place for brunch, rather than dinner. Their breakfast menu items are great and i’m a huge fan. There’s no parking that I’m aware of. I valet parked my car in the back.

First time here and I’m happy I stopped by! I’m not sure why the reviews were lower than a few of the surrounding restaurants, but it was fantastic! Best pancakes ever, $ 15 bottomless mimosas, great service(from Greg my server)… I had the chilaquiles dish with red sauce! I could not stop eating it! So good. The pancakes were awesome! We just ordered one amd split it for dessert. The patio has a great outdoor vibe and is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or brunch.

It’s a nice casual place with some really good open street front patio and sidewalk seating which is ideal for casual conversation, chat, passing time or people watching. There is also a nicely appointed indoors indoor seating in the even it is too hot or cold outdoors. Their menu is rather simple, basic, but the food I’ve had here has been pretty good, particularly their pizza which is of a nice fresh ingredient with a thin crust and their new to the menu lamb burger; both of which I would recommend. The service is also professional, accommodating and polite. Parking can be difficult and the main attraction of the place seems to be more for breakfast and lunch with a more local following.
