I love this place! I have been numerous times, and they have the best food, with a wide range of items to choose from. One of my favorites is the Chicken Tortilla Soup! Everything always taste fresh, and it’s a cute, causal diner, with a friendly staff.

Great portions, great price and a large selection of items including great breakfast items. A nice place to eat on Santa Monica. If you’re lucky enough to have Drew, be grateful. Amazing customer service.

Super friendly staff, creative fresh salads and smoothies… and mostly organic too! There’s something to suit every palate and cool outdoor seating. Love the calamari!

There is truly nothing not to like about this place! The décor is clean and modernly pleasant, the service is friendly and efficient, and the food is simply delicious! The only«problem» I see is that Joey’s Café is pretty packed during the weekend, so chances are that you might have to wait a few minutes before being seated.

This is a nice little spot to come and just get some coffee and talk to friends. I love coming to this place whenever I’m in the area, and the servers are very nice and friendly.

Great place for lunch and people watching! Food is prepared to order and delicious, especially the Joeys omelet and the ½ lb burger. They always play good music, at the right decibel level, and the waiters are very personable and attentive, especially Drew and Dan. Would highly recommend this place.

Food is good but the service is horrible. You have to constantly remind the wait staff to take your order and they tell you to hold on before finally getting to you. Then you’ll have to wait another 15 minutes for your water to come. Also, they’ll forget part of your order and you’ll have to remind them again to bring it out. Even when it’s not busy, the staff is unorganized.

Fresh, delicious food made quick. Stopped in for a quick bite on a Saturday afternoon. The place was pretty empty so service was pretty quick. I had the Dijon Chicken Sandwhich— wow! Yum! So fresh! I definitely recommend this spot

This is a great neighborhood café for brunch or lunch. They have good salads and turkey burgers, and the huevos rancheros is really delicious(particularly since the place isn’t a mexican restaurant). I also recommend the iced coffee. It’s clean, casual, and you can sit inside or out. I do not believe they have alcohol of any kind, so no mimosas or bellinis. Seat yourself, they don’t seat the patrons.

«Breakfast Eggs Sandwich» on sourdough with turkey bacon is really good! Not sure why«eggs» is plural, but it is. More impressive is their breakfast potatoes. The seasoning is tremendous(not spicy), but they are inordinately large and need to be cut in halves or quarters. Great taste, properly heated, all around YUM!

The service hasn’t gotten any better at this place. I walked out of the place after sitting there for 10 minutes. Not one of the servers or busboy came over to offer water, menu or anything. There are other better places to go for breakfast. I’ll be crossing this one off my list.

Stayed within walking distance recently and this was one of the only breakfast places. Good coffee(no free refills), and so so food. No rave reviews on the Acai bowl or eggs, but got the job done and we didn’t leave with Empty bellies. If visiting again I would probably either just get a cup of coffee to go or skip this place altogether.

I was driving by the area the other day and was looking to grab some breakfast somewhere. I saw Joey’s Café and seeing it had decent reviews on Unilocal,I thought I’d duck in for a quick bite. The menu was fairly extensive having various items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I saw something called the Joey’s Special which came with two eggs, your choice of bacon, sausage, turkey sausage or spicy Italian sausage and also a choice of potatoes, toast or pancakes. The pancakes came with fruit on top. This sounded like the perfect breakfast I was looking to have so I ordered this plate with my eggs scrambled, the pancakes and spicy Italian sausage. In a matter of minutes, my server brought out my plate which looked really appetizing. The pancakes had sliced strawberries and bananas on top. I tried this first and although the pancake was a little dense and not very fluffy, it was still alright. The Italian sausage was good and I thought overall, and they were generous with the scrambled eggs. I thought my meal was enjoyable. I felt like the portions that were served were fairly generous as I’m used to places these days serving really small portions for the same price I would be paying. There’s free parking in the back of the restaurant which is a huge plus especially in parking-starved Los Angeles. Also, wifi is provided courtesy of the City of West Hollywood and since this location is across the street from City Hall, the wifi signal is really strong. If I happen to be in the area again and was looking for a bite, I wouldn’t mind coming back again to try some other things.
