Pretty decent Chinese food! Been coming here since they opened. It’s ran by an old Chinese couple, so it’s pretty authentic. Their prices are really affordable especially the 3 for $ 10.99 deal. My only complain is that almost majority of the dishes is cooked in a sauce base. Yes that cornstarch ish salty base, which just makes everything too salty. Their fried pork cutlet is one of my faves, so definitely give it a try!

Don’t be fooled by the name. This place serves delicious and authentic(the owners are from tianjin china) chinese food. If you want panda express, you better go to panda express because this ain’t panda express. No sirree. Our family has been coming here for years. Especially when we’re in the mood for chinese food. The owners make everything themselves so you know what you’re getting is authentic. We always go for the 3 items for $ 10.99 deal. Best deal ever. White rice is an additional 50 cents. Gotta make extra profit somewhere right. Expect literally a mom and pop shop. Not much to see but the food is good. Most importantly, everything is MSG-free. So rare these days. Its best to bring somebody whose fluent in mandarin though because they’re not fluent in english. Located across the street from nogales swap meet. In the same plaza as hong kong supermarket. On your right when you enter. Next door to the worst dog grooming store ever. Do NOT go there. If you’re in the mood and have the guts for authentic and cheap chinese food, give this place a try. They also do party trays and cater for chinese new year.

Good food and Good price don’t usually go together. Some how the owner at Dreamland are able to combine both together. I order the 3 dishes for $ 10.99 almost every night as my dinner. 3 full size dishes for $ 10.99 is unheard of. I don’t even grocery shop anymore. Great Bargain and Great Food. If you live in the area this is a must try place. Also great for large or party size catering as well.

Delicious food, great price. Discovered this place when my company had an employee appreciation lunch last year. Not only do we keep ordering food from them everytime we have employee lunches but I have lunch there at least once a week. Thumbs up!

I come here all the damn time. These people treat me like family. I’ve introduced this place to almost all of my friends and they all agree on the deliciousness and authenticity of this place. The special is 3 dishes for 10.99. That kind of value for authentic chinese food is unbeatable. This place is family owned and when you dine here it definitely feels like a family dinner at home. Some people complain about the charge per rice but it’s like 75 cents! You’re already paying 3 dollars an entrée how much cheaper can it get? These people need to make money too! Best value for good chinese food I’ve ever come across. This place is truly a gem. Bring your friends, bring your family, you will have a great time!

First time coming here with friends(who have been coming here for years) and I only wish it was closer to me, but totally worth the drive. Service was great and very friendly. Food was fast and honestly the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Portions and prices are amazing(we were a party of four, had seven dishes, and it was roughly $ 40). Just 5⁄5 for everything, I am so full and satisfied, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

We used to take out like every week before moving to OC. Especially when our first baby was born, my wife didn’t have time to cook and Dreamland really helped us a lot during that period. The price is unbeatable, 3 dishes for only 10.99, and their drunken chicken is still one of my all-time favorites til now.

Been here twice for lunch food taste great but aervice is horrible each time. Both times were to go and first time took an additional 30 minutes on top of the 20 minutes because of a large order before. Second time they only gave me one dish instead of the 3 dish i order and now i am waiting for them to make the two remaining dish to finish cooking and cutting into my lunch break

Across the street from KFC tucked in the corner. Cash only. no English spoken. I was curious about the special the Unilocalers’ mention. Tried the Twice Cooked Pork, Kung Pao chicken and the General Tso from the«choose 3 for $ 10.99 special.» You can’t beat the price, but rice is extra. If you’re a stavting student, this would be heaven. The General was breaded and a bit soggy by the time I got it home. There are about nine tables inside, but most of the mid-week afternoon business seemed to be to-go orders. Not worth the drive for me, but you want to just feed 4 for under $ 13.00, where else would you go?

Came down to visit relatives several times & each time we went to this restaurant because it was cheap & from a family-ran restaurant. Prices are on the cheap side, but the food is not very good. Sometimes very salty and then most of the other dishes were quite tasteless & not flavorful at all. Customer service needs improvement. They are not very attentive. Food would come out & then nobody ever comes back. To get their attention, someone from our party would have to get up & run back to get some attention.

This place has the worst customer service ever ! We came here tonight, a party of 7, we ordered 10 dishes. The food is okay, really salty, but I gave the place such horrible ratings because I found a strand of hair in one of the dishes and the other just looked at me as if it was mine or something! Um sir, do you see how long my hair is, let along it was inbetween the noodles and not just laying on top. He saw me take it out, and jsut stared at me. I would have said soemthing, but my mom told me not to. But for the fact that he saw me take it out and hold it, he didnt even say anything. Then I lost my appetite. They also charge per bowl of rice. Instead of how many people there are. So freaking stingy. There were 7 of us and the owner told us we only needed 2 bowls of rice. THEFUCK ?! I alone ate 2.5 bowls. Dont come here, the people are rude, the little girl playing the piano doesnt play all that well, it gets annoying, and omg they are just the stingiest people I have ever come across, it was ridic.

Pretty good Chinese. Dishes are affordable. Good service. Dishes taste good. Cups look kind of dingy. They have a pretty good lunch special, 3 dishes for 10 bucks and the food is tasty. The fern onion pancakes are pretty. Good. They don’t speak any English but we understand each other. Really fast service. I’d keep going back. Actually, I have gone back lol It’s good!

Disclaimer: I live very close to this restaurant and have tried a lot off their menu so this is gonna be a long one! I kind of have mixed emotions over this place. The service and atmosphere is definitely not what you should come for; it’s got a kind of cheap and very traditional Chinese family restaurant feel(one side of the restaurant is the family’s section where they’ve got a piano, computer, etc.) The restaurant is usually empty when I go so I presume most of their business if from takeaway… The food on the other hand is kind of hit and miss. The 3 for $ 10.99 is definitely a bargain and is very convenient if you’re looking for a quick and inexpensive family dinner. The portion sizes aren’t particularly generous(esp. for the togo) but it is only $ 10.99 so that’s expected. This place isn’t too bad if you know what to order. I would stay away from the Lamb w/Cumin and the braised peppers and those were some of the worse offenders I can remember. The cumin was stale and pasty over the lamb and the peppers were literally a plate of green bell peppers cooked in soy sauce. My family comes here when we are looking for a fast and cheap family dinner or if we just want to get food to-go. Most of the dishes aren’t too bad just don’t expect a home-run with every dish.

How interesting. Chinese Dreamland. The name of this place hits the nail on the head. It is indeed a Chinese Dreamland of sorts. My two dining companions and I were trying to go to MYO sushi across the plaza but the wait was too long and we were in a hurry so we stumbled into Dreamland. When I walked in, I felt like I was in a well air conditioned restaurant in China. There was an asian family sitting who stared at us when we walked in. Felt a tad bit strange. The décor is very… authentic? There was some type of Chinese game show playing on the TV above us that had American girls dancing on a Chinese American Idol type show. Odd. The guy who I assume is the owner greets you and seats you but his English isn’t great so you have to read his body language. This place is ridiculously cheap. Everyone mentions the 3 dishes for $ 10.99, and that is correct folks! Three people can eat together family style for $ 10.99! We didn’t go with this menu though because we wanted to try some other things– we got the green onion pancake, shanghai dumplings, braised fish and mustard greens with bamboo and pork. Our total was $ 27 which was not bad for three people. All of the dishes were well made and had good flavor. It definitely felt home cooked. The three of us were stuffed and even took leftovers home. Although the restaurant may not be a stand-out-must-go-one-of-a-kind Chinese restaurant to visit, I did appreciate the authentic food and cheap prices. Dreamland, I will be back!

3 dishes for $ 10.99, can’t get any better than that. My family loves this place. My dad is the super traditional Chinese type who HAS to eat some form of rice for dinner, would rather eat Chinese instant noodle than eat«foreign» food aka(not Chinese) food, and is super picky about Chinese food in general but he LOVES this place, even more than places like New Capital and Newport Seafood. We are such regulars that the owner of this store knows our family’s whereabouts because we always converse with him when we’re here. This place is located in the plaza with Meow Meow Café, but it is facing La Puente Road, kind of next to the Bubble Dog grooming store. The restaurant is run by a mom and pop and their daughter sometimes plays piano in the room next to the dining room(she’s quite good and she’s only like 9 or 10 years old??). The pop runs the front of the store(taking orders, sending food over, collecting money, etc) and the mom is in the back cooking. My family of 4 always orders 6 dishes and it is just enough, plus some leftovers for tomorrow. The food is really authentic and super flavorful, hence why my family loves it. Each dish comes out piping hot and fresh, which is one of the reasons why my dad prefers this place over those big restaurants because it’s never sitting out waiting to be taken to a table for longer than 10 seconds. We normally order the Shi Zhi Tou/meatballs, Yu Xiang Rou Si(Fish fragrant pork slices?), Ma Po Tofu, Xiang Gan Rou Si(Braised bean curd with pork), Chong Bao Niu Rou(Beef with Onion) & Kung Pao Chicken, all of them are on point and delicious. We rarely order any vegetable dishes here because why would you order vegetables when they are the same price as a meat dish? My family is super Asian as you can tell. The man who takes your orders sounds kind of mean/stern but he is actually very nice. Apparently he used to be a secretary of state or something so my dad has lovingly gave him the nickname«Secretary» in Chinese(Ju Zhang), so whenever he wants to eat here, he says he wants to go eat at «Ju Zhang’s»… This place doesn’t look very nice but the food is absolutely worth the money so it is definitely worth a try. Many people do order togo so they can have delicious food at home at a great price. I love family run restaurants like these so I hope more people know about it and support this family business :)

My bf and I nickname this place«the living room». If you enter into the restaurant, on the right side is a «living room» with a piano. I think it’s partly a daycare/piano lesson place… Anyways, we normally go with my bf’s parents. Opens somewhat late, never too crowded, and the food is good. The owners of the place does the hosting/serving/cooking, so it’s a definite mom/pop place. Gotta support the mom/pop places. Food. No MSG, not too oily. LOTS of food for the price. Ordered around 4 or so dishes for 4 people, and still had leftovers to take home. Was around $ 20 plus tip. Friendly people. Nice general parking lot in the strip mall. Good food. Awesome prices.

— Cash only/Closed Mondays/Good for To-go/Located behind Hong Kong Super Market, directly across the street from KFC I’ve been curious about Dreamland for awhile, and I’m glad that my fellow Unilocalers led me to this haven for cheap chinese food! The most popular thing to get is the 3 for 10.99 special(rice is an extra 50 cents/person). The servings are humongous! Definitely a lot for 2 people(best place for a cheap, delicious date!). My faves from the 10.99 menu include: General Tso’s chicken(spicy, sweet and tangy!) Tofu and Fish in brown sauce Veggies Outside of the 10.99 menu they have xiao long bao(not the best, but at $ 4.99 for packed steamer, I’m not gonna complain too much), seafood noodle soup, niu rou mein, and my favorite, chilli beef or fish! Everything you order is made fresh and comes out super hot! A lot of customers who come by appear to be regulars. The place is family-run and there’s even a little room off to the side where their granddaughters hang out, do homework and play piano. It is very hole in the wall-esque and a lot of people who do come here seem to phone in to-go orders, so don’t be alarmed by the emptiness.
