This is a very authentic Hunan restaurant. We love the frogs on the pot. The can serve food really fast. We will definitely come back to this restaurant when we are in south California area.

Food was okay. But please pay attention to the bill, they don’t have a breakdown for the bill. I did the math at least 5 times by myself and was pretty sure they charged $ 2 more!

Terrible experience. Ordered to go. Waited around for 30 minutes instead of the 15 as promised. Terrible food. Terrible price. Will never. Ever. Come back.

First, the waitress was not happy cause I ordered to go, so she couldn’t get tip. Or maybe their service was that bad as always. The food tasted ok but we got less meat in every dish, a lot of vegetables. I ordered 4 dishes and 3 of them are meat dishes. We could only find a few pieces of meat in every dish even though their price is much expensive than other places. I’ll never come back to this place again and I recommend you at least don’t order to go.

The service was sooooooo bad. We ordered some spicy food, we drank out of tea, no one came to refill it, no more napkins, I had to go get it by myself. So we paid less tips. The waitress asked us don’t come there next time. But we are not going to go there again. Blacklist forever.

My boss took me here to eat in the afternoon. I don’t know the exact names of what he orders but he ordered beef, tofu, clear noodles, vegetables, beef soup, and so much more. The food came out fast and piping hot! All the food was delicious! Some was a bit spicy but I loved it. The waitress was so nice and friendly. The only con I would say is that it was a bit warm in the restaurant and the bathroom could of been a bit cleaner. Overall, we had a pleasant experience. I will definitely come back with family and friends!

My mother was eating but then she SPIT out here food because there was A CLUMPOFDIRTISHERDISH. The waiter especially was just horrible. He didn’t even apologize and just told us to buy another dish. The other dishes WEREEVENWORST so little ingredients in the dishes that it seems like they were out of food. First, love the food if it’s food alone it’d give it five star. Service? Ummm probably a 3. So I gave it a 4 star review. If you love the food hate the service like me, order takeout and enjoy the deliciously spicy food at home! My favorite is their fish heads and steamed fish with their special sauce. Remember to order head like right when you walk in, because it takes a while to steam the stuff. Tender meat and the lovely sauce make my mouth water just thinking about it. Let’s talk about the bad part. Word of advice, DONOT sit anywhere close to the door. With people going in and out all the time the smell of cigarette floats in. I hate hate the smell of cigarette. Guess who’s out there smoking though? Their very own chef. Yeah, if the owner is reading this tell your chef to smoke somewhere else! It’s killing your business. Then there is the wait time. They take FOREVER to get the food out. During weekday there is only one server, so she’s doing everything by herself everything is slow even if the place seems empty. Weekends there are two I think. TL;DR Conclusion, great food bad service. Order takeout = best of both worlds.

Food is okay but the service is very bad. We went during our lunch hour. After the waitress took our order, their entire staffs sat down on the next table and starring eating lunch! No one was cooking in the back, they wasted us 20 minutes wondering and after we questioned if anyone is back there cooking. Their manager said: oh? You still want ur food? We go cook it now! WTF! Never ever going back again …

Went there for lunch with co-worker today. They took our order and just left us there. All staff(chef and waiters) just sit there and start their lunch and chatting. We waited 20 mins and asked them if there’s anyone cooking for us. They were like, do you still want your order. If you want, then I will stop eating my lunch and cook for you. O. o If you are on lunch break, then don’t take our order. We don’t want to interrupt your lunch, but don’t waste our time either. At least tell us that you can’t cook for us at the beginning. Will never go back again.

The wait in this uncrowded restaurant took over 30 min. When the food came which I ordered the beef noodle soup was tasteless. And nothing is worse than tasteless food. I had to send it back, when it came back only 3 minutes later, you can taste the insincere heavy salt and msg they poured in it. The second dish arrived 5 min later, the third dish arrived 15 min later… The food was over dried and unbearable. Food is terrible here!!!

All the food was too salty, and very small size compare to what you pay, really bad cook, overall quality is bad, the soup was a bow of boiling water with hardly anything less, I won’t pay a dime for this restaurant again.

I had a dinner with my family there(total 3 adults, and 2 kids). We ordered 6 dishes. They were all not what we expected that delicious and traditional taste. My roommate can cook better than them! The worst was the price. They charged us for $ 97.8, so average for each dishes was $ 16.3 dollars. Including tips was $ 21.36 per person. It is way more expensive than having a dinner with seafood or Korean BBQ. Even you have a lot of money and no place to spend, do not waste any penny on this restaurant.

I love spicy food! I often come to this restaurant to eat. Today I order the«hu nan style steam fish» the meat is very soft. One thing I don’t like about this restaurant is hard to find parking since this area is under construction. So better come here on weekdays.

As a Chinese from Hunan, I have to say, it is really authentic and yummy Hunan Food! FYI, Hunan food is famous for its spicy taste, so if u don’t like spicy food, don’t ever go there! Don’t rate 1 star just because it is too spicy! Love it!

This place is pretty disappointing. The food is pretty bad here. The spicy oil they used for the fish head was very very diluted and it made the fish very bland. My Asian side was strong as I was initially drawn in by the enormous size of the dish but as I started to sample this ocean specimen, my taste buds reaffirm that it was not of great expectation. Also ordered a particular beef soup which was, I’m pretty, half sodium as their main ingredient. Wanted to drown my tongue in water but I still think that would do no justice. The bean curd dish we ordered was okay, nothing too special but it was a saving grace from the two other dishes(fish head and the soup). The arrangement of the tables and seats are cluttered and disorganized. There’s no walkway when you enter the restaurant. It’s like they tried to play Tetris and fill up every possible space to capacity. So you would have squeeze through chairs. A damn obstacle course just getting around. Service was okay. Guy that served us was pretty friendly and attentive. Other than that the food is here is pretty sub-par. Cash Only too and not to say that they’re cheap either. I’d pass.

Zero stars! I was in Queens where I had the best shredded beef with chilis. This place is the opposite of that. The food stinks. Literally. Something about the meat smells bad and it tastes gamey. The stink lingers in your mouth for hours. Bring a toothbrush! Ordered shredded beef with chili, super spicy to go. Waited 15 minutes. Decided to look around the neighboring shops. Came back in 15 minutes. The girl at the front looked alarmed and ran to the back shouting orders to the chef. O crap, I thought. This means they forgot to make my order and now they’re going to send out something half-assed as fast as possible. Which is exactly what I got. It’s depressing I paid $ 10 for this: Stinky, gamey, bland. Not spicy. No char. No balance of flavors. Is the beef even cooked thru? Who knows… Looks nothing like the other Unilocaler’s pic. I thought those green thingies were chilis but they are actually chinese celery. Really gross food and really bad service.

More like 2.5, but I’m rounding up due to the nice service we had. Craving spicy food, I came here ready to eat animals drenched in bloody-red chilli sauces. Instead, it was more of a chilli and oil sort of deal. I had: Kelp and Spare Rib Soup Nice milky broth. Kinda bland though. Spare ribs were good and fell off the bone, but there were only 2 – 3 pieces inside. Sauteed Lamb Nice thin pieces of lamb sauteed with a variety of chili. This was really spicy, and the lamb was gamey, so avoid if you dislike the gamey taste. Very oily. Mushroom, Pork and Eggplant Super oily. For whatever reason, the eggplants were skinned. Not at all what I was expecting. You have the option of making anything on the menu spicy, so feel free to ask them to make your dish spicy if there’s no chili pepper next to it. The restaurant does not get a lot of traffic, so it gets pretty quiet. My friend and I thought they were actually closing up so we left, only to find that they stay open until 9:30 pm. Our service was really nice and attentive, but the food was really meh. I wouldn’t come back here.
