If you promise customers to reserve seats, you should honor your promise! We have to bring our toddlers from car with heavy rain cuz their promise, and it came out they didn’t reserve for us! Worst customer service! And they don’t feel bad about it!

Le Pot ain’t too shabs. Boiling Point is a lot better, but this place compares favorably to the other BP copycats. At least the ones around Walnut and West Covina(I’ve had some pretty wack ones here). Price is about the same as Boiling Point(maybe a little bit cheaper) and they also offer the same free green tea or black tea with lunch. They also offer this dry pot concept(looks like a hot pot minus the soup), but we didn’t order it ourselves. It might be worth checking out cause it’s something different(could be gimmicky tho). For the hot pots, they actually include a couple extra things vs Boiling Point, so that was one of the good points about this place. They actually have pork blood here too(if you miss when Boiling Point offered it). However, the soup at Boiling Point is superior by far, which makes the overall taste of the food a lot better there. Sauce here is also inferior(BP’s is way better!), so the overall meal definitely can’t compare. However, this place is good enough for 3.5 stars, which I feel is an above average score for a Walnut restaurant. If you’re too lazy to drive out an extra 5 – 10 minutes, then this place ain’t bad at all. The wait at Boiling Point can get a little crazy sometimes anyway.

Food not bad, all thrown in already so u don’t get to regulate how cooked ur meats are. Flavor is pretty good. Service is eh, like any other true Asian place. They offer free green/black tea for lunch but no longer have the bogo lunch deal. I don’t like that their website shows some lunch pots are $ 7.99, but when u get there they taped over with the new price, $ 10.99

The price and hot pot selections are similar to Boiling Point, but I would totally come to this place for the BOGO lunch deal. We had a large group coming down from a Big Bear trip and it seemed as though the waiters were no prepared at all for this big party. Waiters seemed a bit frustrated, but they did their jobs okay. At the beginning when we first started ordering, I already did not really like this place. The menu was very confusing and I honestly didn’t know how to start. The menu was similar to the style Shin Sen Gumi, the ramen restaurant, has: Pick the type of broth and spiciness level with symbols. These symbols, however, really confused us and it was only after a while did we understand how to order. In fact, it seemed pointless to have this kind of system because the waiter basically asked us what each of us wanted and what kind of drink we wanted… so he could’ve just written our orders down and save the unnecessary confusion… anyways, so here are my comments on the hot pot/sauce bar: Sauce Bar: You can get whatever you want in the sauce bar, which consists of garlic bean sauce, chili sauce, chili and garlic sauce, sesame paste, green onions, and cilantro. I don’t remember these sauce names word for word, but it’s similar to what I mentioned above. A lot of people didn’t like the sesame paste sauce… in fact other sauces, but they did try my chili and garlic sauce/garlic bean sauce and really liked it. I liked them too. The sesame paste sauce was just really diluted yet salty… #6 w/Spicy Broth: I totally forgot what was in there, but I do recall ordering the #6. It wasn’t too spicy and I really liked how it had udon in there! Noodles are my favorite :). I also ordered the vermicelli instead of rice, which is another thing that’s similar to Boiling Point. I liked how there was an egg and fish balls. The spiciness wasn’t too bad and I liked a majority of the stuff in it except this little weird pink wiener thing… but I just tossed that aside no biggy. This place really isn’t that bad and the only issue I have with this place are the menus. I would come here again, but it is kind of inconvenient for me sometimes since this place is located in a pretty deserted plaza.

Super delicious Taiwanese hot pot! Recommend #3 with tomato and beef broth. It is a little sour but full of flavor! I order #2 with lamb and hot hot hot broth. It is also super delicious! #1 is their signature, but my family don’t eat intestine or blood tofu, so we missed out on the must-get dish. Overall, super good and affordable hot pot!!!

A new discovery was found. I feel like they charge the tax too much. I went there for couple times, but the last time I went there I realized something was wrong. When I checked the tax in the receipt, they charged me more than the rate tax in CA which is 15%. I still have the other old receipt, and I checked again. Guess what how much they charged? 18% for the tax! They are not supposed to do that. How could they charge different rate tax like that? The CA rate tax is 9%. My advice is People who want to go there should be aware of the tax that they charge. Asks them if it necessary. All the food is good. I just don’t like how they make their own rule.

Yay, I swallowed a long piece of hair in my hotspot and was able to pull it out but that is just completely disgusting. The owner still made me pay for my 1⁄8 eaten hotspot which is completely ridiculous. A meal that was supposed to be 45 we still ended up paying 30? When we ate maybe ¼ of everything we ordered, including sides. Waste of my freaking money!!! It was decent hotpot just make sure you don’t eat hair. The manager wanted me to inspect the cooks hair to see if it was one of there’s… LOL ridiculous.

During the weekdays, the bogo deal makes this place a bargain for the quality of food they give you. It rivals boiling point, and it is not nearly as crowded as it should be. It has a decent selection of meat and broth choices and the amount of food they give you seems to be a little more than boiling point. I got full at this location. They also have a sauce bar, although not as expansive as ichi ihi, its proficient enough. The servers were also very courteous, and attentive. My water cup never stayed empty for long. I would come here again.

I am giving 3 coz I think the price is pretty good now. You buy one get another one free. If wasn’t like that, I think I will prefer going the other one. Taste is average, soup favor too light? But the pot is kinda big thou. They also have the dry pot, my brother order it. Taste pretty good actually. For the price you sure can go try.

I went to check out this place because they had the“Buy one get one free“promotion. It was $ 10.99 for the hot pot for lunch. The meat was very fresh and soft. And the dry pot tease really too. The Hokkaido milk tea it is my favorite drinks. The décor of the place is nice and the customer service meets my expectation. The servers kept asking if me went to add soup and fire kept it hot ! I like this place! I will come back every weekend!

I was around the area and decided to give this place a try because it’s a Boiling Point knock-off and I LOVEBP(it’s my favorite). We were surprised when we found out there was a buy-one-get-one-free deal if you took a picture of your pot with the sign on the side and post it onto either facebook, instagram, or wechat. My friend posted it on wechat because she barely uses it and we got our deal – score! As per usual, I get the miso flavor with noodles. Honestly this place is definitely sub par to boiling point – the portions are smaller and the soup base is definitely not nearly as flavorful and the ingredients were whatever too. I was still full after the whole thing but for the price(if I had to pay it in full) I would much rather go to boiling point. However, I need to point out that unlike BP, there was no line here – in fact, it’s kind of empty – maybe because this place is kind of new. Le Pot is located right next to meow meow café – so if you want some dank boba after your meal it’s right there: P Don’t think I’ll come again though.

I came to Le Pot with my family to take advantage of their BOGO hot pot special. We had a lot of trouble finding the restaurant. It is actually right next to Meow Meow Café on the other side of the market. Lots of parking, not too crowded despite the BOGO deal, but a very small restaurant without any waiting area, so we just stood around the front of the store staring at the other customers eating before we got a table. I feel like Le Pot is very similar to Boiling Point in that they offer free green/black tea with the lunch specials, very similar pots, options of rice or noodle, etc. For the price(especially with the BOGO deal), I would say the food was on point and tasted pretty good. The drinks were also really good, too. I was happy that they let us have two free drinks despite us taking advantage of the deal. Green tea and black tea — very reminiscent of the Boiling Point tea flavors — really tasty and I wouldn’t mind paying to drink the green tea next time. There weren’t dry pots available that day we went, but we all wanted hot pots anyway. I tried their sour cabbage and pork belly hot pot, which I really liked. There was a surprisingly good amount of pork belly inside my pot, along with veggies, sour cabbage, tofu, imitation crab meat, etc. I was actually incredibly full without even finishing half the pot. I tried the tomato and beef soup hot pot, lamb soup hot pot, and the hot pot and udon noodle(which I don’t see on their menu anymore, so perhaps they changed it?) I thought all of the other ones were okay. The tomato and beef soup had a tomato soup base, which I liked. It wasn’t too sour, and had a lot of vegetables inside of the soup. The lamb was decent. I’m not a fan of lamb, so I don’t have much to say. And my mom liked her hot pot and udon noodle. Lots of noodles and lots of things inside of the pot. Overall a very satisfying meal at a very good price. Service was meh, but I think they were overwhelmed by the many people who wanted to take advantage of their BOGO offer. I would have to say that I really liked it mainly because it was so cheap. The flavors of the hot pot soup base weren’t as tasty as Boiling Point’s. However, I’d come back if I was in the area, but I wouldn’t make the drive out to West Covina for Le Pot specifically.

As an avid lover of Boiling Point, I wanted to see how Le Pot compared! It’s strange how similar this place is to BP: the metal bowls and square bases the hot pot comes in, 3 sauces(though different), lunch comes with tea and dinner doesn’t, you can choose either rice or vermicelli with your meal, the option of adding more soup and fire… etc. We got the lamb one and the pork/noodle one(I don’t really remember the name of it… but it was the last item). The pork/noodle one had a better soup. It was actually pretty good. I wasn’t really a fan of the lamb soup though. The other items in the soup were standard… nothing to complain about really. The waiter was SUPER helpful though. She was the only one in the restaurant and she came over to refill our soup(numerous times, we drink too much soup) and even add fire to our dying hot pots. The waiters at Boiling Point are usually inattentive and you have to flag them down to get anything done. This was a nice change. Overall, I felt like this place is decent but I probably won’t come back again because I think BP is still better. It is a $ 2 difference though so if you don’t want to pay so much, you can come here and I would recommend that pork/noodle one.

I came here during the BOGO promotion(if you take a picture of their pot and their business card and posted it on a social media site). That deal itself earns a solid 5 stars… I mean… so simple and hardly a catch at all! But if we’re just talking food… I’m going to say that it’s pretty good, but not great. I’m a big hot pot fan, so of course, I stuck to the hot pot here. But what really sets this place apart from other hot pot locations, in my opinion, is that they actually serve dry pot in addition to the regular hot pot! I ordered the SPICYBEEFSOUPHOTPOT, which was… not as spicy as I’d hoped. The flavor was not bad, and the portion was pretty good for the price. It’s only $ 10, compared to many other hot pot places at 3 or 4 dollars more for the same size or even smaller. They had very basic sauces on the table, and I wish there were more to choose from, as the soup base’s flavor was not strong enough or me to not use sauces. I wanted to really like this place, but it was just alright for me. I think if I’d braved the dry pot, I might’ve given it a little more than 3 stars. The SERVICE was okay. There was quite a wait(I’m assuming due to the BOGO deal), and the waitress and waiters were trying to do everything too quickly. Food came out quickly too. Not much to complain about there. My FINALVERDICT is that I’d like to give this place another shot. Since the pot wasn’t bad, and even without a BOGO deal, the prices are fair! Also, they have a free drink deal during lunch times… so there you go!(Quite honestly though, my favorite things about this place is that it’s right next to Meow Meow Café. =P) See you next time, Le Pot!

*Located next to Meow Meow Café* HURRY, the BOGO Free Hot Pot ends on 1÷8÷15!!! All you have to do is snap a pic of the hot pot with their menu/business card/stamp card and post it on Unilocal,FB or Wechat… easy peasy! I believe the promotion applies to Dry Pots as well. Fyi, the restaurant is small so expect a LONGWAIT! Prices: Hot Pot– $ 8.99(lunch) and $ 9.99(dinner). Dry Pots are a couple dollars more. Ordered: *Tomato & Beef Hot Pot– not bad… It came with a couple of slices of beef, ½ fish ball, bamboo shoot, tofu, vermicelli, tomatoes, lotus root, fish cake, beancurd, corn, green beans and veggies with a choice of rice or vermicelli. Sauces: 3 kinds(reddish bean paste, sesame/peanut and garlic. None really stood out so I just mixed all three. It was a lil salty but did the job. Service: Good, nice friendly servers. Parking: shared lot, plenty of spaces

It was a cold day and we wanted to get something hot and comforting, so we decided to come here. This place is located in a shopping center next to a few boba places. Luckily it wasn’t too crowded when we got there so we got seated very quickly. They had a few specials/deals — if you check in to FB or Unilocal, you can get a buy one get one free. They let us do it twice so we took a picture of the hot pot and checked into FB. The hot pot was very tasty! I got the lamb hot pot, medium spicy. There was tons of stuff in the hot pot — mushrooms, tofu, lamb, eggs, fish balls, imitation crab, etc. My bro got the spicy beef pot, his wife got the tomato and beef hot pot, miso hot pot for the kiddos. You also get green or black tea with the meals. Overall I really like this place — the food is delicious, the place is clean and the service is really good.

Unilocal 2015 Challenge #6 I came here with my friends and I was completely baffled. Baffled. To be late fifteen minutes to a lunch meeting, all I could ever do was shake my head yes and agree to everything that they wanted. What do I know? :P They had spent time thinking about everything so I shan’t change it! Apparently they have a BOGO offer with either Unilocal or Facebook, in which you need to take a picture with their business card and you get 2 hot pots for the price of one! Excellent deal. Yeah tbh I don’t even know how much it is for one ._. I got to see the menu for thirty seconds haha xD But it came out to $ 20 for 2 hot pots, extra rice, noodles, and 2 extra drinks. They have a hot pot + a free drink(green or black tea). Their green tea is sweet and really nice to drink. Relieving, actually. :) Now let’s try and talk about what we had Spicy beef pot –A dry pot which had some huge pieces of corn, some lotus roots, some beef, tons of soybeans, cauliflower. This one was my favorite of the two. It had a LOT of juices at the end and I was like asdfghjkl;’ holy crap that looks like a spice heaven. This goes more along with RICE. If you want something with a soup, my friends ordered a spicy pot with soup. Yeah I’m sorry :(I don’t know the name. This one was better for NOODLES. There were some pieces of seafood. Two big pieces of shrimp: D It had a big piece of imitation crab as well. There were pieces of fish cake and a poached egg on top as well. There were some EW pieces of tofu in it as well. Not bad. You get one free rice/noodles with a hot pot, but since I went with three others, we all needed a bowl for each of us haha. Try mild if you can’t handle the spiciness: P For me, I can’t accumulate spiciness too well but oh well haha xD They also are really slow with service. ON top of that deal, get their stamp card as well~ :) Oh yeah, this is in the new East West supermarket place at the corner of La Puente and Nogales, next to MYO and Meow Meow Café

Really good pricing with the BOGO promotion, but for regular price I don’t think I would come here. I ordered the lamb hotpot medium with rice. Flavoring of the broth I thought was quite bland and needed a lot more flavoring. There wasn’t too much of the lamb in my pot, but a whole patch of napa cabbage(Not literally, but more so of the napa than anything else) I definitely can say this place is not better than boiling point, but it is cheaper. Maybe i’ll try the dry pot next time
