Bertucci’s

Wow… the only reason I gave this place 1 star is because the service was first class, but the food is bad. The presentation & the taste. It was like microwave food and the salad had way too much dressing. I was staying across the street at the Embassy suites and saw this place when I drove by and actually ate here a few years ago & it was OK but it’s definitely gotten worse. I will not be back.

I used to love Bertucci’s and especially the Verde pizza. Before it was so delicious. I don’t know if the problem is in this restaurant’s management, located in Waltham but the pizza that i had tonight was awful. It was very very very thin, swiming in oil overcooked, difficult to chew and just unpleasant.
We will never order again.

It’s pretty hard to judge the food quality at this location, mostly because we were ignored for 10 – 15 minutes after being seated. We eventually gave up and left, and nobody seemed to notice. They weren’t even busy at all, it was 2 pm on a Sunday and they just simply ignored me and my girlfriend as customers.
I hate bashing a Berituccis, since their food is almost always at least «good» if not excellent. However, not even getting water or any acknowledgement from the waitstaff for 10 minutes? Pretty inexcusable when they were that quiet. Stay away if you want any sort of service !

Wife and I checked in to hotel down the road at 09:30 pm and were starving (4 hour trip from NYC — totally skipped dinner!) By the time we were ready to venture out to eat it was close to 10:00 pm, and at first we were hesitant at going in since we learned from the front desk that they close at 11:00 pm (didn’t want to be «that guy» that goes into restaurant when they are winding down and then impacting their wrap-​up /​leave time!). We went in and were delighted to see several other people dining at this time, and they enthusiastically welcomed us in to sit. Server was very friendly and courteous… started with fresh guacamole which was out of this world! We then had the large Verde pizza with arugula and prosciutto… simply amazing! Arugula was very fresh and the pizza was perfect. Even though we started out completely starving, we ended up bringing 2 slices back to the room (just as tasty 2 days later when heated up in the hotel room microwave!) Great job Bertucci’s!!!

I’ve never eaten IN this Bertucci’s but we order online for pick up ALL the time:) And the food is always good — but what we’ve learned is to completely ignore the «time till pick up» that you get online. For example, this evening I ordered at 8:45pm, it said to pick up at 9:22pm, I went directly there, got there about 9 — food was already ready. This happens every time. They pay no attention to the pick up time you were given! If I would have arrived at 9:22 our pizza would have been cold. We went through a lot of unhappy, cold pizza eating until we figured this out.

Don’t even know where to start. We came at about 7:30 this Saturday and were seated pretty promptly (about a 15 minute wait) took us about 10 minutes to get created by a server and they provided us with bread and oil which was okay. Next we ordered our food and it looked as though our server forgot to order our salads as we saw everyone else’s coming up but not ours. She then went over and asked them to make the salads, when they were brought over they were disgustingly salty for a Caesar salad. I asked to get some sausage soup instead of the salad but was then brought the vegetable soup but I decided not to say anything and just eat it. Our fettuccini Alfreda took about 40 minutes to come out from the time we ordered it and it was hard and the Alfredo tasted watered down. Was extremely disappointed and our server brought over a manager. The manager was unprofessional and got extremely and very uncomfortably close to my face when he was talking to me and told me he would grab us some new plates, we declined and he took care of our bill. Will not be giving another chance as nothing we orders was good or correct.

Bertuccis in Waltham has nice warm décor and is a good place to sit for an hour and chat with family and friends.
The problem starts when you raise that first forkful of food to your mouth. There is a huge gap between the picture on the menu and the taste of the meal you are served.
We wound up sending 2 out of 3 dishes back and so did two other tables near us. The kids pizza was burnt. The chicken scampi was raw. The roasted vegetables unbearably plain.
A good example of what happens when you hire newbie cooks vs, chefs who know what they are doing.
The manager was a rotund guy who was nice enough but was unaware of all this and unaware that he was unaware.
Therefore my prediction is that the food at t this place will probably get even worse.

Mistake — review was for the lexington branch

I am so surprised to read the average reviews of this restaurant! My daughter and I traveled to Waltham and needed to find a restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. Our experience at Bertucci’s was an unexpected highlight of our trip. The lasagne was probably the best I have ever had (although it could have been cooked a tad longer), and my daughter also loved her mostaccioli. The portions were huge, the ambiance of the restaurant was nice, and the waitress was helpful and friendly. I recommend this restaurant highly.

The lunch specials are a terrific deal. Had an Italian Focacia sandwich for $ 7.99 which includes unlimited ensalata and fresh baked rolls and also came with pasta salad. Only complaint is that I needed a nap after but had 3 appointments after so I had to suck it up and get it done. For a chain restaurant, these guys get it done

What a great lunch selection, I didn’t know they did lunch. I got the chicken malaise sandwich, I bypassed all the sides that came with it, I was in a rush, it came out quickly and it was great! Tomatoes and arugula on top a fresh crispy piece of chicken, the lemon vinaigrette put it over the top. I’d recommend this lunch anytime. Just don’t try to eat it and drive way too big.

Great food, excellent staff.

I’m a big fan of their bread and the pizza, though specific and not the best by any means can be very tasty if that’s what you’re going for. An option.

We had dinner last week at Bertucci’s in Waltham to celebrate my aunt’s 90^th birthday. There were about 20 of us. The service was good and attentive enough. The food was surprisingly delicious (I haven’t been there for several years.) And the portion sizes were ample. The only problem was the area where we were sitting was besieged by fruit flies. They landed in our drinks and on our food. It was not very appetizing. The manager came buy and apologized and said he didn’t know what to do about it. I’m not sure what I wanted him to do about it. I guess I wish we could have been moved, but there were too many of us. Unfortunately, it put a damper on an otherwise nice occasion.

Slow, rude take out service. Not worth it. Called ahead far in advance and still had to wait 25 minutes at a time when the place was EMPTY. Several employees standing around, not helping. I have done take out at several other Bertuccis locations but have never experienced such terrible service.

Nothing special, just a pizza centered Italian spot. Smells really appetizing when you first walk in though I must say. Oh and speaking of appetizers, they do have a really great selection of starters and some that you wouldn’t necessarily expect.

Went here over the weekend.
The food was good, but I really though our service was fantastic.
Our waiter, Danny, was very attentive and went above and beyond.

the food at bertuccis as a whole has changed from nice Italian to chain food. that being said, the food was good but nothing special. the waitress was gorgeous, fun, and super sweet but it took awhile to get our check and it wasn’t very busy on a weekday night.

I love a good pizza. Absolutely love it. This place delivered.
Their chicken silano pizza makes me DROOL. All over the floor. Beethoven the dog style.
Their bread is fantastic too, the oil they bring over to dip it in rivals Not Your Average Joe’s and has a little kick to it. Can’t beat it.
But try their chicken wings! Who would have thought Bertucci’s would kill it with their Tuscan Chicken Wings? But they do! They’re so good!
This place has a nice big open floorplan and tons of seating, it’s huge. It’s one of the nicer ones I’ve been to for sure.
