Parking is plentiful and the host/waiter is very friendly. The food did not take long at all. Here’s what I ordered: 1. Siam rolls: chicken and veggies in an egg roll(friend.) they were crunchy and tasty.(Order of 5, maybe for two people or so.) 2. Pad See Ew: flat noodles mixed with chicken, greens, and bean sprouts cooked in a sweet(almost like a teriyaki sauce.) this was very good but they give you so much that I couldn’t finish my food. Something that my friend and I noticed: the plates are very misleading. You will see your food brought to you in a plate and you might think to yourself«what a small plate» but the surprise is in the DEPTH of the plate. In other words, there’s way more food than you think(this is totally a compliment.) My suggestion to customers would be to come here when you are very hungry or just order 1 plate of something. No extras, no app’s. You don’t need it, the main dish will fill you up and it’s not likely that you will finish it. Check this place out!

Let me start by saying I had decent expectations for this place considering I had heard great reviews. I order the Pad Thai with shrimp to go. When I opened my food there was an excessive amount of noodles and a little bit of shrimp. Also the food had no flavor. End the end your paying 11 dollars for a plate of rice noodles that taste like plastic and some shrimp.

Came in for lunch on a Tuesday and the restaurant was rather busy with the expected biotech crowd. I ordered the red curry with tofu. Food came out quickly. Nice portion but very skimpy on the tofu. Most disappointing was the curry itself. Very thinned and overly sugared. I’m always hoping to find a decent Thai place in the area that hasn’t compromised authenticity for the assumed American palette too much, but Green Papaya has followed that trend.

I’ve been here twice after a workout at Waltham Yoga(and Blue Barre), and I’ve enjoyed(really fast and delicious) dinners here! My go-to’s have been the beef pad see ew with the shrimp green papaya salad. The shrimp green papaya salad has a nice tangy crunch, and the beef pad see ew is meaty and delicious! The service is really attentive, and the servers kept my water filled, and continually checked in to make sure I didn’t need anything. I LOVE the shrimp crackers that come with the shrimp papaya salad, and I end my meals munching on those!

Having a Thai girlfriend has exposed me to more than 15 different Thai restaurants in the past year. I absolutely love Thai food. And let me tell you, this is the worst I’ve been to. The food is lackluster and doesn’t really taste similar to other Thai restaurants I’ve been to and not in a good way. More like in a bland and tasteless way. Also, they skimp HEAVILY on the meat. I’m guessing they do this cut costs because no matter what they do, people keep coming. I think it’s a combination of: being close to many offices/office parks and people not having experienced other Thai restaurants, so the demand is still high. Otherwise, put this place in/near Boston, I would not be surprised if it went out of business. I gave it a 1 star because every single time I’ve been here, I’ve been disappointed. Why have I been here more than once? Because my team at work still goes there semi-regularly. They asked me to go today. I said no and wrote this review.

Fast service at lunch during the weekday rush hour. Very accommodating to those with gluten allergies. Didn’t seem fazed when asked questions or to omit items such as fish sauce. Had the chicken pad Thai. Unfortunately lacked flavor but that might be from omitting the fish sauce. Would definitely go there again.

Forced to go here again, ugh! Was with a big party and the waiter forgot to take my order and then never delivered my entrée! Which is fine cause the food didn’t look good anyways. I ate my Siam rolls and couldn’t wait to leave! Parking is horrible in this lot! Not a lot of spaces and there is only one entrance/exit. If they are making a delivery you will get stuck in the lot! Which could be a good or bad thing if you don’t want to go back to work… Ha!

In genuinely wanting to give this place the benefit of the doubt, I waited until I’d tried this place 3 times prior to writing the review. Upon my first visit, the waiter took forever to take our orders, then got one of the orders wrong, then took forever coming back for the money after he’d left our bill. The second time, we ordered a myriad of things, and specified what we wanted as appetizers and what we’d wanted as the entrée. That got f — -d up… AND the waiter took forever to bring our bill. The last time, a colleague and I came in at an odd hour– between 1pm to 3pm– and the place was dead. Because of this, one would expect exceptional service, or at least average service. But after we’d received our food we were never checked on again, nor were either of us asked if we’d wanted another adult beverage. Finally, after about 20 minutes, a member of the staff came out to clean tables and set them for dinner and I flagged him down. My food was average; I have had FAR better Tom Kha(coconut soup) at several other places. The spring rolls were… average, and one could not discriminate them from any other random Asian cuisine spot. The noodles… average. The vegetables… underdone. The duck… well my friend told me this was exquisite, but I felt it was average. The décor… no, not average… absolutely horrendous. It looks like a corporate cafeteria circa 1985. But they offer cute little mints when you leave, and once in a while an employee is there to smile at you!

I’m not usually a big fan of Thai food but had a great experience here in a party of two couples. We each chose a different dish and all four of us found our meals delicious. The other three people are Thai food fans, so their opinion counts for more than mine. I had the glass noodle soup, which was chock full of shrimp, mushrooms, leeks, and snow peas. The«Tender Duckling» followed – living up to the«tender» description along with a flavorful sauce and a generous plate of brightly-colored(that is, fresh) vegetables. My companion enjoyed the Hot and Sour Shrimp Soup and said the Seafood Bouquet entrée was«wonderful.» The service was attentive but unobtrusive – almost invisible(as I like it). Water glasses were kept full. The place was a little under half full on a Friday evening and even with a party of 12 seated next to us, the noise level was such that we could hear each other well for conversation. Seats were comfortable. The décor was not fancy but it was attractive and in good repair(a way in which many Asian restaurants cut corners).

This food here was underwhelming. I got the massaman curry and it was edible. That’s about all I can say for it. It had these inedibly sweet carrots in it and the serving size was just too small. However our server was really good, just the right amount of attentive and giving us space. Friendly without being intrusive. The food was just not good though and I wouldn’t eat it again.

This was one of a few handful of Thai experiences. I found my food to be ok minus the sauce filling most of the bottom of the plate like a soup but this was part of every meal in our party of ten so I assume this is normal. Everyone I was with loved their meals except for one person and they were much more experienced in Thai food. It did seem kind of «fast food» style but I can only assume this is because of how busy they are, which they are ALWAYS packed. I would not be apposed to attend again but not on my list of places I would ever suggest.

This was definetely one of the better Thai experiences I have had since coming back from Hawaii. The food all tasted home made, authentic and slowly prepared. I had the coconut ginger chicken soup. Amazing! I paired it with white rice and was satisfied. I then had the mango sticky rice. It was very nicely prepared but I would have like more syrup as it dried out a bit. My old place made it with ice cream and I still haven’t found a replacement. The service was good, my friend was annoyed because they sat a large group next to us. But they weren’t loud so I wasn’t bothered. A lot of things bother her so yeah… she had the shrimp rolls and loved them. If I ever visit the area again I would go back!

Ugh… worst thai food I’ve had in a while. The flavors here were really lackluster and the portions were too small. We ordered a tofu dish, and the tofu cubes were tiny. There was also a vegetable dish we ordered, where half of the veggies were beansprouts(very much a filler vegetable…) I feel bad because the service was good, and the waitstaff was really nice. But they were clearly cost– conscious with their food/portions, and I would not return.

Came here for a working lunch last week, and boy are they busy during the 12 – 1 hour. If you’re looking for a nice quiet spot for a working lunch this is not the place. It’s downright loud, and pretty tightly packed. The food was really great. My colleague and I both left with completely clean plates. I had the orange chicken and she a chicken curry dish. Both were fresh and flavorful and served quite quickly. They really present their food well on the plate too which is nice. The service was friendly. Certainly nothing to complain about there. We also had no wait for a table right in the middle of the lunch rush, which to me is a big deal. Overall, I would definitely come back again soon. Really the only downside is the noise. Great food, good service, give them a try!

I ordered lunch from work, so I didn’t get to check the place out. I love Thai food. Thai fried rice, pineapple fried rice, Siamese twins and drunken noodle are just a few favorites(from Brown Sugar in Boston). I was suggested to try the green curry from here. It was ok. I didn’t like the Thai melon and I omitted the eggplant. I wont order it again.

Swung by here on a trip with a school group — came off to a good start. Service was prompt and friendly. Appetizers came fast(we ordered satay), surprising especially when compared to previous experience with large group eating. Bringing food at different times made things a little awkward. While I respect and understand the need to bring food out once made, it was definitely awkward to wait upwards of 10 – 15 minutes for everyone to have their food. Siam Fried Rice was alright — although disappointingly light on flavor. Nevertheless, was satisfied with it, with the service, and with the ambience. Will definitely come again if I could!

This appears to be a lunch place — and I imagine it’s probably quite busy during the midweek lunch rush — but we came on a Saturday night and found it quite empty. That’s not a bad thing, in fact we prefer a quieter place so no complaints here. I had the Pad Thai and it was pretty good, not the best I’ve ever had and certainly not the worst. I would try this place again. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive :)

This is a suburban restaurant that caters primarily to lunch time crowds from local businesses and is not very busy on week nights. Staff is very friendly. Nice décor but nothing special with regards to ambiance. It is their food I absolutely love. I have been getting takeout from Green Papaya about once a week for well over 10 years. Their food is very good, very consistent and prepared so quickly. Even if I place an order for more than 6 dishes it is ready in 10 to 15 minutes. I don’t usually place my order till I am in the car and on the way and it is still ready before I arrive. My favorites: Chicken Dumplings — These are perfect dumplings Siam Rolls — Small with just the perfect amount of crunch Satay Chicken — Flat thin pieces of chicken with just the right amount of marinade and sweet peanut sauce Half Moon Pancakes Pik King Shrimp — Shrimp, Green Beans, Pine Nuts, Red Curry and Coconut Milk Tofu Miracle — Tofu Stuffed with Shrimp and Shitake Mushrooms Wild Boar Basil — Thin Pieces of Pork, lots of Basil and peppercorns. Nice heat. This is a suburban Thai food take out gem.
