Nancy’s Nook

About 90% of their inventory is WAY overpriced. Like if it’s 50.00 at Nancy’s Nook, it’s probably 15.00 on Amazon. And Amazon will return items that break or don’t work properly and NN will not. Employees act like you are a hassle to them and basically ignore you for as long as they can. And… It’s kinda tough to shop for stuff to spice up your love life with blazing loud screaming death metal playing in your ear. I’ve been in a few sex novelty shops and this is definitely trashy not classy.

This place sux! They have no manners and don’t even ask you what you need nor do they give you advice on what to choose from! Also the man at the counter told me to get off the phone even though I wasn’t talking in my phone, I was listening to music. And they ID you to walk in another room which has almost the exact identical stuff as the first room, I mean even if it didn’t it still makes no sense whatsoever. I will not come back and you shouldn’t bother coming here!

Don’t know why this shop has such a low rating. Easily the best sex shop in VA. There’s a great selection compared to the other places in the area and the people are pretty helpful.

Been coming here for years. I love this place although they are a bit pricey on some of their products. Some do seem to last longer than most other than their vibrater’s some are really crappy but some are good. Expect to pay a little more for a good one. I still come here for other things & still love this place! =P

I came here the other night from Hampton to shop for new toys and as I pulled up to the entrance, the censored doors opened. A woman looked over the counter and saw me pulling up. I got out my car and walked into the store. As I was looking around the associate walked pass me three times and never said a word to me. I walked the whole store and it was pretty obvious I needed help finding something. I gave her direct eye contact and she never even stopped to help me, not even a smile. She was walking so fast to pass me it’s like she didn’t even want or care to help me. So after waking the store a couple of times I just said forget it and walked out. I’ll just go back to The Love Shack in Newport News. They may not be as big but they’re a hell of a lot friendlier and more helpful.

Typical run of the mill sex shop. Less than average costumer service. If you don’t know how to navigate amazon, you can come here. However you will pay at least 50% more for everything, if not more. They are open 24 hours, so if you’re a sex addict suffering… you got yourself covered.

I like Nancy’s Nook. They have some seriously scandalous stripper-​type wear here, shoes, underwear, dresses, hose, etc.
They have cake pans and sex oils and swings and belly rings.
They have another room that has a lot of porn and tons of sex toys of all kinds.
This isn’t a place I’d visit all the time but it is fun to frequent the wares every so often and see what is new or visit with friends from out of town who don’t happen to have a fairly large sex shop nearby.
The employees are always friendly and offer to help and if you buy a «toy» they always open it and make sure that it works before you leave with it which is nice because, a) you know it works and, b) they take care of that pesky plastic packaging I always manage to impale myself through a finger with.

Don’t be shy! Explore your wild side! Don’t forget to show your ID for access to the over 18 section with lots more toys, videos, and magazines — if those are your thing. I find the people watching can be entertaining late at night, if you know what I mean.

I had a horrible experience at Pink Banana and almost gave up looking for my sister’s bachelorette party items. I’m glad I drove the 15 minutes to Nancy’s Nook. Wonderful shopping experience, great saleswoman who assisted and then let me explore on my own; it’s triple the size of most and every possible item you are looking for is probably there! Did I mention it’s open 24 hrs/​7 days a week? I will definitely make the trip to return. Nice store.

Not that I’ve surveyed all the adult novelty shops in the city, but I hear that Nancy’s Nook is like the extravaganza of adult novelties in the city of Virginia Beach. From movies, to furniture (um yeah, adult furniture), to make up, costumes and creams to «toys» that would make even Jenna Jamison blush – Nancy’s Nook has got it all. And it’s open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so it’s always the right time to stop by.
Looking for a sexy Halloween Costume? This is definitely the place to get a super sexy costume complete with the crazy make up, fun accessories and ridiculous heels that you’ll break your neck in when you’re «celebrating» later that night.

Nancy’s Nook is my number one guilty pleasure. The staff are great and let you wander around at your own leisure, not making it awkward at all. There is so much amazing stuff that goes beyond even what you could imagine.
If you need to spice things up with your partner or even with yourself, they’ll have something for you. From beginner to expert (not sure if that’s the best word), I always see something new. I would go here for a date with my husband over any old restaurant anytime. Or maybe for dessert! :)

Pricey… but where else can you get this stuff 24 hours a day? They expanded and have basically everything under the sun. I always get my hallowen costume from them. And if you say your a dancer you get 10% off (they cant deney this discount)

Much better selection than the Pink Banana, but still too expensive for the crappy toys and outdated magazines (some of these were from 1990s!?). They have more bondage stuff that you may want to have if you can’t order anything on the internet. They carry a few nicest glass toys, but for over $ 200, the same toys I found on the internet for about $ 60 or so. I loved to snoop at this store with my co-​workers, because it is right in the front of my previous job, the oceana commissary. LOL.
