Had lunch here yesterday with coworkers. 2 stars for most of the food and friendliness of the staff. We tried a bit of everything — seaweed salad, cucumber salad, miso soup, shumai, tepanyaki, philly roll, shrimp tempura roll, smoked salmon, crab roll, Cali roll. The seaweed salad had a bit of an off flavor like it was sitting too long and the cucumber salad lacked flavor at all. The tepanyaki only tasted of the fennel that happened to stick to the chicken. Everything else was decent. The service was RIDICULOUSLY slow. It took literally 15 minutes for our order to be taken and our apps came out at least 30 minutes before our rolls. Drinks sat empty for a good while also. The woman who helped us was friendly, but she was inattentive. I probably won’t be going back, even at someone else’s request. The food just wasn’t good enough to make me want to return. It really made me long for Sushi King in VB or Yu Mi on Kempsville Rd.

All you can eat sushi made to order. Need I say more. Not a buffet style sushi place with old sushi sitting out all day. You pick what you want and they make it for you. I you order to much and can’t eat it… They make you pay what you wasted. Don’t waste sushi should be a t-shirt design for them. This is a weekly spot my wife and I goto for lunch. If your not just hungry for sushi they also have some other non-sushi dishes like skewers. But we go there for sushi and it is our spot in va beach for sushi. What is holding this place away from a 5 star? Would love to see more specials outside of the menu options. Their Facebook page hinted at specials they used to have(at other locations) that added a «fresh uni get it while it lasts» type feel. If your in the area and want sushi(this is also the number one spot we goto after going to the aquarium… Kinda odd but it works) this is the number one spot. I have had better sushi in my life; but not in Virginia Beach and not at this price.
