Jason’s Deli

I love this place and I’ve been going here for years. It’s one of the few places in Lake County that can handle larger groups, without having to reserve an area in advance. They don’t mind if you need to put some tables together, they don’t mind how long you stay, etc. I even host gaming meetups here, and they don’t mind how many hours we play. As long as you order something from the menu and are respectful, this place is great for all types of large groups, not just smaller ones. And here’s a little secret most folks don’t know about this hidden gem in Lake County. After a certain hour (usually around 7:30pm or so) it tends to empty out more, even on the weekends, but for those of us that are introverts, that’s a real bonus. It can get loud and busy during the day, but in the evening, it’s much less crowded and quiet and it turns into quite a cozy atmosphere. Food is great, good prices, good salad bar, free ice cream, and the employees are always wonderful. Managers are usually very friendly as well. It’s always kept very clean and I’ve never experienced any kind of food poisoning in all the years I’ve eaten there (so far). They are open until 10pm every night, and can cater events as well. They don’t have their own wi-​fi, but sometimes you can borrow the wi-​fi signal from the Mexican place next door. They do have outlets if you need to plug in your phone or laptop. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! A lot of folks are surprised at how much they like this place once they discover it. Check out the one in Vernon Hills… we love that place!

Salad bar is great, not huge but still great.
Salad bar has prepared salads and vegetables.
They have organic crackers I’ve never seen before (excellent.)
Have not yet tried the sandwiches as of yet.
I have eaten there three times in the last week.
Employees are friendly and managers will do anything to make your experience great (I believe they would bend over backwards for you.)
You get more then you pay for at Jason’s (I mean that is a good way.)
Did I mention it come with FREE DESSERT!

Love these guys, go there at least 3 times per week during work days. Their chicken club salad is the best and it has loads of chicken. Haven’t tried too many other items but my office orders from them frequently and they are never disappointed.

The food was fresh and tasty plus the unlimited refills and free ice cream was a nice surprise. The manager there at lunch time was so nice and welcomed me as a new guest. I’ll be back for sure.

The sandwiches are good sized but the meat is fattier than most delis. Plus they are more expensive here. I wouldn’t go back

Their portions are huge and the salad bar is fantasmic. Great price for the food. Plus, free ice cream (which is not very tasty but I don’t like soft serve). Seriously, you get SO MUCH food. A note: the classic cheesecake has trans fats.
I thought the sandwich was too small for the price but it came with a side so it evens out. I didn’t realize you got a choice so they just gave me chips: c. The sandwich was just okay. I’m really obsessed with their salad bar though so 5 stars for that!

Really expensive for what I got, and the girl at the register was miserable. So overall not that great of an experience. To be absolutely honest this might have been the absolute worst tasting meatball sub I’ve ever had. The texture was weird and quite simply put gross. I have 2 stars be cause the free ice cream was good.

The good is good and the portions are a good size also. I will say that they are a little pricey, especially to deliver.

A fantastic list of sandwiches! Great salad bar! And free ice cream! I love this deli, I always get the quarter muffuletta with a cup of chili. Amazing!

Jason’s Deli has a great salad bar. The sandwiches and soups are also very nice. I usually go for the salad bar and get a side of grilled chicken. I went there today and for a change tried the california club sandwich and tomato soup. The sandwich was absolutely delicious and the soup was good too. It came with a side of chips, salad or steamed vegetables. They also have complementary ice cream. It gets pretty busy during the lunch hour but I’ve never had trouble finding a table. It’s a good option for quick lunch on a weekday.

Tried this for the first time today based on a friend’s recommendation. It WAS AMAZING! Told the person behind the counter it was my first time there and it turned out to be Roy, the general manager, and he couldn’t been more helpful! Walked me through everything and provided the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. Not only was everything I got excellent, but I will always go back to a place where you get great customer service. Highly recommended and if you don’t have a great experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to contact Roy. What a great surprise this was!

I met my husband for lunch at Jason’s Deli a couple days ago. It had been years since I’ve been there. When I placed my order i believe it was a manager. He was very knowledgable and friendly.
The Food… I ordered a chicken salad sandwich that had almonds and pineapple in it served on a toasted French bread. It was delicious! My husband ordered a turkey wrap and their chicken pot pie soup. Both looked delicious. We washed down our lunch with tasty ice cream that is provided free for customers.
Overall, Jason’s Deli was just as good as I remembered it to be. I look forward to going there again and meeting my husband for lunch there. Next time I plan on trying their chicken pot pie soup.

This place is a hidden gem among Milwaukee ave shops. Why didn’t I know about this place that long? Healthy & tasty foods choices, friendly services, and very reasonable prices in comfy& roomy space. Try out salad bar plus bowl of soup (seafood gumbo), kids meal under 4 dollars including organic milk and fruits or veggies. Gotta love this place.

I’ve been here a few times and each time has been pretty satisfactory for me. However my mom was with me last time and didn’t feel her soup was that warm…
I am wondering if the service is better at lunch than dinner. Yes free ice cream. Yum.
I usually get the deli club maybe beef stew. I’ve had their fruit and I’ve not had any problems in probably about the 10 times I’ve been here. I’ve even spoken with the manager for awhile once… nice man.

I love the salad bar– there are so many options!!! The employees are very friendly and welcoming– if only all places were like that. My dad and I always enjoy our food. Haven’t tried anything else on the menu besides the salad bar!

Let me tell you. Eating here was the best experience of my life. Friendly staff and great food. I highly recommend ordering fruit as a side because the dip they bring out with it is DELICIOUS. I will definitely be back! It was so good I felt like I had died and gone to heaven! ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend!

Never order from there when you need to feed a lot of people for a management meeting. Submitted our order at 10:50 and didn’t get it until 1pm even though it was promised by noon. We called at 12:15 and were told by this sweet sounding lady named Sandra, that she couldn’t ask anyone on her staff to call us and let us know they were going to be late because they are all busy making sandwiches, and that simply by contacting her to complain was also taking up her sweet time when she could be making our order Sorry never again, we could have ordered from Tsukasa and had it ready in 45 minutes. Jason’s deli with mediocre food, took more than two hours and are located a block away from my place of employment. The worst.

I have to say today’s service was outstanding. Jordan was so nice and answered all of our questions. I have been to this location several times, usually with kids and today I’m Just hearing about the coloring crayons and sheets. I’m glad to hear about chicken nuggets being added to the kids menu. Jordan should be a manger, he is so prompt and easygoing. You can tell
He likes his jobs unlike the rest of the staff.

The food is ok. Nothing special. Found a piece of plastic in their vegetable soup. Takes over an hour for delivery to a location couple blocks away. Gave them multiple chances and no improvement. Two thumbs down.
