Panera Bread

Worst chicken caesar salad I have ever had. I think the dressing is the ingredient ruining their caesar salad. I think it should be replaced with a different recipe.

I used to love the panera near my old house. This one, however, not so much. Half the time when I come here (my kids still love it) they’re out of whatever I order. Today there’s an employee, obviously on her break, sitting at a table near the front door, shoes off, and her obviously dirty feet up on a chair. Gross!

This review is for this specific location. I placed an order by phone for pick up and when I got there it wasn’t ready yet. The manager, Ricardo and the man at the window, Kyle, fixed the problem very quickly and gave me a significant discount. Mistakes happen to everyone, and it’s great to see that they value customer service so highly.

Always a favorite. My mom gets free coffee for being a senior and the food is always consistent!

Panera has many options that you can even moreso custom-​order. Everyone I know loves Panera. This one is close to many businesses and stores which is nice. It’s also relatively clean and has a drive-​through. It’s a great Panera!

I really like the look of this location. It has a very clean and modern feel. This location is very well staffed with friendly people. The food is the same as any other Panera, which is a good thing. I would gladly go back to this location.

Great service. Very modern. They bring the food to your table. You can also order on one of the free standing kiosks if you don’t want to wait in line. Definitely recommend. I will be returning again

I live in glenview but i was driving around the area and i thought it would be nice to get some soup and sandwiches for the kids from the drive thru. I ordered broccoli cheddar soup for my 5 year old son and when we got home my son started choking while he was eating the soup. I saw there was this hard plastic of some kind of corner bag or i dont know exactly what that is but i just got it out with my fingers from my sons throat. THIS IS SO DANGEROUS AND IRRESPONSIBLE! I could sue them for this but i just called them and informed them of this situation but the manager said he doesnt know what to do but would like to send couple of coupons! UNBELIEVABLE !!! BEWARE OF WHAT U GUYS ARE EATING FROM

Got order wrong twice. Asked them to take out trash as it was overflowing in the front and it was still not taken care of. They were not busy either.

Today, my company used their catering services. They were late, then delivered half the food. They delivered the other half after our meeting were finished. REALLY BAD CATERING SERVICES. Stay away if you are on a time schedule.

Stay Away — This location sells stale, day-​old bread!
The quality of food, especially the bread, has dropped since they moved to the new location. The staff are nice, but they are aways out of bread and pastries. When they do have bread, it is stale and hard. When we complained, several employees confirmed that they have been selling day-​old bread because they are too busy to bake during the day.
Since my wife is such a fan of Panera bread, she took the trouble to inform their customer service about her experience, hoping they would correct the situation. Instead, all we got from the District Manager and Corporate was denial. No apology, no commitment to correct the situation, nothing! We stayed away for a couple of months and tried again last week. No surprise, we got stale bread again.
Now we are done with Panera Bread for good. Their Corporate Beliefs and Principles are just talk. Very disappointed in Panera Bread!

Stopped in here for lunch before a meeting. The service was quick and the place was clean. Their chicken panini was very good. I opted for the half panini and half soup option. Great for when you can’t choose and just want a light meal.

New location. We walked in at 7:15 pm on Saturday night. The menu was confusing so we told the single counter person we each wanted soup and half a tuna sandwich. She said they were out of every bread but rye and they could not toast it. The shelves and baskets were completely empty except for maybe six bagels. No pastry… nothing.
The dining room looked like a hospital cafeteria with dirty rug and several dirty tables. We finally found one and scrapped the crumbs off. Why did they make this place so much worse than the one across the street?

Nothing but bad soup. They don’t even have anything gluten free. Time to get with the times. They are also very pushy. Not recommended for vegetarians

Good and fresh food but sometimes (like today) the food quality drop like anything I ordered the Chicken Cesar sandwich and there was no sauce and it tasted very bland and not good.

Nice place to have lunch! Food looks and taste delicious. Perfect place to meet up with friends during the day!

I came in on one of those days that it extremely cold (which is everyday in Chicago), and felt like the only way to keep myself from becoming a block of ice was to pour really hot liquid into my stomach. With that said, I, of course, ordered one of their soups! The girl at the register was extremely helpful and sensing my indecisiveness, offered to bring me a few samples of the soups to try out without me even having to ask! I eventually settled on a bowl of their Creamy Chicken + Rice soup with a side of bread, and it was just what the doctor ordered. The soup wasn’t mind blowing, but it was hot and flavorful. My only complaint was that the bread was a tad too chewy for my liking. Personally, I prefer a harder bread (e.g. French baguettes). Otherwise, with their extremely reasonable prices and their fairly quality food, Panera is a great lunch spot!

Restaurant review
So expensive, I have not been back to panera for a long time but this is ridiculous when you drop 20+ dollars for lunch. The food is fresh and well made. I had the strawberry fruit salad which was done well with a baguette side. I can’t say that the meal is worth the money you pay.

Readers be forewarned when I’m talking about Panera Bread. My step dad worked as the head chef for years at the primary one in downtown Chicago so I’m a little put off at the sight of the place let alone the all too familiar smells and tastes (you would be too if this was 75% of your diet for at least 4 years.) Never the less no other place was open so I decided to try it out after removing Panera Bread and it’s numerous imitators from my diet years ago.
What to expect with Panera Bread:
1. Stupidly High Prices for Simple Things
2. Good, albeit could definitely be better food
3. Great service when they’re not busy
4. A overly strong, familiar smell akin to Subway
It was 8:30AM so like I said no other place was open except for this. I walked in, was greeted by the cashier and ordered some OJ and a sausage, egg & and cheese sandwich. I grabbed my OJ directly from the ice laden container so it was nice and cool and proceeded to walk down to the pick-​up counter. The whole time I was thinking I should’ve ordered something else since they might put cheddar cheese on the sandwich (I can only tolerate some white cheeses.) I waited for awhile before I noticed the plate with what seemed like a half made sandwich with only egg and cheese before I realized they never called my name to let me know it was ready.
When the server noticed me over there she grabbed the receipt hanging over the counter and called my name even though I was literally right there (and the only person as well.)
To my delight the sandwich was actually finished (the sliver of sausage was hidden) and tasted great with the mozzarella cheese they put on it. I sat there for awhile and drank my delicious orange juice before I left. On the way out one of the cashiers yelled «See you later darling!» out of the blue so I had to awkwardly stop, turn around and wave, but it was nice.
Altogether it was $ 7 for the sandwich and a small OJ which is more than I’d like to pay, but it’s expected with Panera.
