Wow. I’m not quite sure what to say here, the waitress and cashier were pleasant. The staff seemed diligent about maintaining and cleaning the buffet area. Food was being replenished regularly. That’s the star. People here on Unilocal seem to like this place and I just don’t know how it’s possible. The food was the worst American-Chinese buffet I’ve ever had. Everything that should be crispy was not, everything that should be tender was not, and vice versa. It was almost bizarro-world I suspected some of this stuff was plastic. I’m sort of a foodie but not a snob — I have a soft spot for egg foo young but this was like a hockey puck, I actually could not cut through it with my fork. The soup was flavorless but very salty. I gave up on chewing the squid after 20 seconds because I was afraid of losing a veneer. We gave up entirely within 15 minutes and went home, made a much more satisfying peanut butter sandwich.

It’s a buffet of Americanized Chinese food. Expected: Low price, all-you-can-eat, hot standard fare. I always expect a restaurant to feel clean and service to be decent. Observed: Most items are fried. The sushi I tried was gummy. I like that they have a large pot of both Egg Flower and Hot & Sour Soup. I was able to put together an okay meal, but I can make better at home. The service is decent; they came by frequently to refill water and take away dishes. I appreciate their attentiveness. The décor is a bit odd. It seems somewhat Asian, but then there was a painting of a vineyard that felt Italian. The floors were stained and dirty. It feels out-of-date and worn. I feel like the quality of food does not justify the price. And the restaurant needs a deep clean.

Since moving to Vancouver 5 years ago, we have enjoyed going to this nearby eatery. A favorite choice has been the BBQ pork noodles. Recently, they’ve changed the pasta to noodles that are fat & doughy. All 3 of us agree they are just plain icky. Since we like this dish, we will be looking elsewhere for Chinese food. Very sad. The rest of the food we’ve gotten there has always been very good.

This Buffet type American style Chinese Restaurant I rate very good to excellent; I and my wife stop in here every so often when we are in the mood for Chinese-American cuisine and a good meal within our Budget? Usually toward the end of the month as we are retired and on a fixed income? We have come here for years and I have discovered their food is not so overloaded with M.S.G. as is sometimes common with other places which this Health aspect is important to us? and easy access off I-5 North or South on the 78th exit. also parking is excellent I must add!” thank you., Larry from La Center 98629.

Good is consistent and this they certainly are. I noticed they do party trays also, good to know. The inside is traditional. The variety is what I truly appreciate

My favorite buffet restaurant. I’ve been coming here for 10 years, although I haven’t been local in the last 5 years I still make the 40 minute commute sometimes. Their honey chicken is to die for. They brought the deep fried bananas back and although they’re different now, I love how they taste and they’re prepared healthier. I bring everyone I know here. The staff is always very pleasant.

I should have put a plug in for them sooner but what can I say? I have eaten there about 5 times in 2015 and was never disappointed. I found the establishment clean and the food excellent. I believe the price was reasonable. I like the Tillapia and stuff with lots of veggies.

The food was great and always hot & fresh. I liked the variety this place offered while also putting out the standard fare. I would like to have seen/found more options for sauces, and found myself creating my own from the sweet & sour spare ribs(which were yummy)! We did find that if you don’t order a beverage besides water, you are ignored and have to shoot up flares for service(that’s why only 4 stars).

I have randomly stopped in. Each time I’m impressed with a different aspect. I’m a salad person, some eat at restaurants based on bread/salsa, I rate on the salad. They offer a simple green salad area which is my magnet. Tonight made me review this place… Why? We showed up after the crowd on Saturday, 9 pm, and while leaving we witnessed the cooks snapping fresh beans. I walked into the restroom, the Asian cook was washing her hands! And not because I was in the restroom, she was doing this when I opened the door. BIGPLUS!!! The food… Having several dozen choices is a plus. They rotate small servings on the buffet so that it is ALWAYS fresh. Never once have I felt the food was old or that the place was dirty. They even wipe the walls your kids touch at the booth tables. I watched it happen!

After having three people over the weekend recommend this place, my wife and I went for lunch. Imagine my surprise to find out that I know three people that not only love poor customer service, but have no taste buds as well! Pissy staff wandering around, ignoring the guests. Less than mediocre food, and they even managed to mess up soft serve ice cream! Should have gone to Panda Express instead– at least the staff is friendly there

Food wasnt bad for easy lunch. Somethings are better than others. Though its not worth 5 stars like the place down the steeet is. And though one of our servers waa nice the other came off like a pissy teenage girl and ignored us half the time and when she bought our water slammed it down on the table. So my advice you get what you pay for which isnt much, and go at lunch time. The frist time I came here was with friends at lunch and the service was 10 times better than today.

Sometimes you’re just in the mood to stuff your face with Chinese food and for that purpose we have the Chinese Buffet. The trick is knowing which place to eat at and which to avoid. Before Unilocal it was strictly word of mouth or simple luck(don’t ask about when the luck ran out) that would guide you to the better places. Now though, we have Unilocal and other websites to weed out the bad places. I am here to tell you that this one of the better ones, So why only three stars you ask? There are several buffets in Vancouver and the best one I know of rates four for me, so how can I go higher? Doesn’t mean I don’t think this place is good, it is, and The Wife and I have been back several times and will again. So don’t think three is bad, like a Vulcan one could just state that it is satisfactory which among Vulcan’s is high praise indeed. I like this place because it is not like many other buffets just another chapter of the cheap Chinese Buffet cookbook«All Things Chicken». There are shrimp, pork, sushi, some beef dishes and what is chicken is pretty good. There are lots of breaded options for the kids and dessert is above average. My new thing is grading handicapped access since I am temporarily working on one foot. There are two handicapped spots with a nice ramp between them. Access to the restaurant is a little tricky, the ramp is a little steep and the angle is abrupt at the bottom so you have to go slow. There is plenty of room between tables if you have a knee scooter or walker and the floor is free of obstacles. All in all a C+ for handicapped access.

You can’t beat 7.50 a person during lunch buffet. So many choices, and it’s very well organized, presented and clean! :) friendly staff as well. Thank you for good service. Will come again. I also asked a staff member to educate me and help me decide which sushi to try since I’m new to it, and they were helpful.

The food is ok and they have a good variety. The staff is not friendly but in thier defense they are on the move constantly. The cleanliness of this place is barely above code if at all. Could definitely be on dirty diners in my opinion. I usually do not eat this type of food but once in a blue moon I get the urge then I remember why I. don’t. Ughhhh popping buttons Definitely not a place to take someone that u are trying to impress.

My daughter and I went for lunch yesterday and I was disgusted. The walls were filthy and I could see old sauce splattered that had never been wiped down off the wall. The chicken out of the buffet was cold. The shrimp was all dried out and looked like it was from the day before. Singapore noodles were cold as well. My waitress that seated us only gave us one straw then walked past me 4 times and ignored us. When my water needed refilling I finally flagged her and she didn’t come back with it. I finally went to the hostess to get our bill. Really disappointing experience

First off if you have rated this place high you have no palate of understanding of good food! Keep eating your boxed food from the freezer! I finally decided to give this place a second chance and will never go back. Ever! First off it took me asking 3 servers for chopsticks before I finally got a pair. The lobster was so overcooked that it was a pile of inedible mush. The oysters had so much garlic on them that you tasted no oyster.(And I love garlic!) Bit into an egg roll and it left piles of grease on the table. And the calamari, OMFG the most disgusting I have ever had I couldn’t even bite through it. I tried little bits of everything and didn’t find a single item I thought tasted great. And when I was paying they acted like they could have cared less that I patronized there establishment. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Dragon King instead. Friendlier and they at least know how to deep fry an item so it stays soft and crunchy.

Seriously, it’s a buffet. I’m not expecting perfection. With that in mind, this place kind of rocks my world. And those doughnuts!

I’m visiting the great northwest and someone suggested Chinese! So OK Lets give it a shot. Well this is your mediocre Chinese Buffet. It’s not so great food, but there is plenty of it. Sometimes I get lucky at a place like this and the have some vegan veggie choices. Not so here. Everything has pork. Oh well.

Updated June 2016 I original gave them 5 stars. We have returned a year latter and it has gone down to 4 stars. Omg. This is probably the most flavorful Chinese buffet we have ever been to. It is 2 x better than the buffet where we live. When I get home I will tell them to come here. We have no idea how anybody could say anything less than wow.

I finally figured out how to do the mobile check in. The trip here was worth it just for that! Was all set to go to Taste of Asia — my fave chinese buffet. But Toby suggested we try something else and that he had read some awesome reviews for this place. And so it was. As must as I love my regular haunts, I love to try new places even more! So the restaurant itself is nicer than TOA. Not any more comfortable, about the same — but it does look a bit more updated — the usual booths, but clean and sparkly. The food is very similar with a few deletions/additions. My usual M.O. is to fill my plates so I get to try a little bit of everything… I mean everything. But I get very little of each, and I finish maybe 35% of what I sample. So I’m wasting food, but if it isn’t really good, why bother? In general, the food is pretty good, but simply not as good as TOA. And the sushi isn’t nearly as good — with fewer options here. So — there may be some things they make extraordinarily well — but I think I’d have to order those from the menu. But next time, I’m going back to Taste
