After shopping at the outlet mall, were looking for a place where we could grab something quick to eat before heading home. There we found this restaurant. It was a typical Chinese buffet with sushi and Mongolian BBQ. The sushi pieces were OK but, of course, not of the quality of a sushi restaurant. We did not try the Mongolian BBQ. The Chinese buffet dishes were OK. Not great. I think we lucked out in that there was a party of about 100 people. For that reason, they kept the food coming. For us, the best for our lunch there was the deserts. Will probably return if we are in the area again and need to grab a bite quickly; but not craving for fast foods

All and all the food is pretty good, its a buffet what do you expect. The employees are very nice but speak very little English so if you need something i.e. Drink refills/napkins/utensils it’s a Little difficult to communicate but again they do a pretty good job. Bathrooms could use a little TLC.

Going in with a negative 5 star. Thanks to a certain little creature which I think I will call him Mr. Cockroach my husband and, I ate there for free. The reviews were already bad, but we never imagined that we were going to have that experience.

Just don’t go. Not worth it. The selection of appetizing food was slim, the freshness factor was low, and both my husband and I got sick within 30 minutes of leaving. We will not be going back.

Went here today with my ex. We both truly enjoyed this place. It’s one of the best Asain all you can eat joints. They serve sushi, and several other sea food dishes like shrimp. All very tasty. They even have a Mongolian style bbq but with fresh meat, not frozen. You can’t lose at this place. All food fresh and not sitting there for years

Definitely marginal. The restaurant really smells weird. The food was not fresh and seemed to have been out all day. The egg rolls were rock hard. Couldn’t chew it. Some of the seafood was questionable and I wouldn’t touch it. Probably won’t be back

Food was cold, they ran out of ice so the drinks were extremely warm. The food tasted funny and the bathrooms were discussing. Never coming back here again!

This is your typical cheap grungy buffet which also happens to be one of my Dad’s go to restaurant’s when he is in the area so of course we ended up here after the wait at the Olive garden down the road was too long for him. Anyway, I am not big on places that set out many different foods in mass quantities but here goes my first impression. First as I said, there is a wide selection of both stereotypically american dishes(pizza, ribs, fries etc.) as well as chinese american dishes. Off to the side there is also a small mongolian bbq option and sushi. In terms of sushi they had a fried roll, some california rolls and salmon nigiri(didn’t look very fresh so opted out). I thought the general tso’s chicken and chow mein were decent. However was not a fan of the egg rolls or pot stickers which looked like they might have been sitting out for a while. I also tried the mongolian bbq(they don’t have the typical round grill) the outcome of which I would describe as mediocre. In terms of service, I would say it was good. We were seated immediately and the waiter was very sweet and attentive, refilling our drinks every time they got low.

Back in 2005 this place was good, my family would come here all the time, maybe twice a month make the drive from American Canyon for some decent Chinese food. This place was always packed with people waiting outside just to be seated. Lately the consistency of this place has gone down hill. The food can sometimes be too salty or have no taste at all. There is nothing impressive about this place anymore. Place: is a decent size for a buffet, yet I don’t see it being filled to capacity anymore. Has TVs in certain location for all you sports fans out there. Food: You will have you selections of food as it is a buffet. Also, it is a gamble whether the food is good or bad. Sushi, if your going to a Chinese place for sushi, I might be questioning your taste buds. Mongolian BBQ might be there best bet now, but not impressive. I mixed all my ingredients together and when they threw it on the BBQ they separated them, then mix it together when it was almost ready. Price: since 2005 the price has gone up, yet they are removing the pricier food item. When asked for an item(crab with black bean sauce) they usually have on a Saturday night, one of the workers replied, «we don’t serve that anymore, it is too expensive.» Unless they turn things around, I would be make a bet that this place doesn’t last beyond 2017.

King’s Buffet — It’s a Chinese knockoff of a Chinese restaurant, ran by Chinese… ‘Think fast food, kind’ve like a Chinese McDonald’s, it’s «Mickey Lee’s!» Store front — You know that ol’ saying, «You get what you pay for?» Well, the same is just as true for the opposite, «You DON’T get what you DON’T pay for.»(‘And here, there’s no doubt, it’s the quality.) It’s like going to a «fat food» chain, drive thru, and ordering off their $ 1 menu. What type of USDA Choice, high quality meat do you think you’re going to get for a mere $ 1… ‘Exactly. King’s Buffet is no different… Well, with the exception of AYCE and no drive-thru window. Buffet stations — Many buffets take me back to working on my uncle’s farm in Hawai’i, more specifically feeding time where wooden feeding troughs are replaced with silver serving-dishes… ‘Slop is slop, whether it’s for a sow and her litter or a restaurant full of overachievers. It doesn’t matter how much soy sauce you dump into the pan, then it’s just overly salty slop. Since we’re on the topic of sauces, the only available table top condiments were as follows: 1. «Rooster Sauce»(Sriracha) — Dirty; «When was the last time this was wiped clean?» Photo — 2. Tapatio(Tapatio… ‘At a Chinese restaurant?! That’s like having wasabi @ In-N-Out Burger!) 3. ‘And big surprise… ‘More soy sauce. Photo — If you’re in the mood for AYCE Chinese, sacrificing quality and flavor, King’s Buffet is THE place! I’m not bashing King’s Buffet for the sake of, just merely reporting the news. I’ve had my fair share of hole-in-the-wall Chinese spots ranging from Oakland, San Francisco, LA, Garden Grove, and San Diego… So, it’s no shock or huge disappointment @ the subpar results. After all, I knowingly walked into King’s Buffet being well aware of their very solid, 2 Star rating. «This is broccoli & beef?!» — King’s Buffet is a lot like Hometown Buffet with an Asian twist.(However, given the choice between the two, I think I would lean more towards Hometown… ‘And that says a lot, I’m not a big fan of of HB.) Much of what I saw & sampled was either tofu mushy, or hidden in a ball of deep fried batter… ‘Which was drowned in one sauce or another.(Some of it was okay, much of what I had was not.) «It’s like eating off the handle of a Walmart shopping basket…» — King’s Buffet is one of the first Chinese restaurants that I’ve been to and found Mexican hot sauce but NO Chinese chili oil or authentic hot mustard… I’m not referring to that small packaged, glow-in-the-dark, yellow, Heinz looking, fake crap.(They had plenty of that.) That pretty much sums up King’s Buffet, «It’s a Chinese knockoff of a Chinese restaurant ran by Chinese.(Irony — Even the Chinese, make«fake Chinese» food, made right here in the USA.) I was in the mood for some cheap, Chinese fare and King Buffet’s did not disappoint. My only hesitation was the aftermath… ‘No worries, I had my bottle of Tums on standby. I came alone, figured no one else needed to suffer simply because I was having a craving for cheap Chinese food… After all, we don’t need to have more than one person with food poisoning. I arrived a little after 5pm, was seated, took a walk around the buffet stations. I was surprised that the premade sushi had barely been touched… ‘Not a very good sign as I wondered how long it had been sitting out. However, I am the adventurous type & that did not sway me from trying it.(Hey! I’m still here!!) Sushi — Food: «M’eh» Ambiance: Relatively clean but I have my doubts after seeing that bottle of sriracha. Service: Okay; atypical Chinese, hole-in-the-wall vibe; «Hello, how many… ‘Here’s your seat. NEXT?!» Value: Okay; cheap food @ cheap prices The best thing that I had eaten during my entire visit was an unassuming, little dessert coffee cake, that apparently came prepackaged. Photo — If you’re in the mood for«M’eh» Chinese food after a drunken night of shenanigans & you’re only options are Taco Bell or Denny’s, King’s Buffet may just be the answer! Lunch: $ 7.99 Dinner: $ 11.99 Weekends: $ 12.99 — Big Aloha! Food: 2 Ambiance: 2 Service: 2 Value: 3

I really wanted to like this place because I was totally craving Chinese! The food was mediocre, and the staff appeared to not care either way. Only when I was finished with my meal did I notice lipstick on my glass… Ummm…I don’t wear lipstick. ICK. when I brought it to managements attention, I was informed I would not be charged for my drink. YAY!?! I questioned the cleanliness of the plates I used! They just don’t care. They didn’t even apologize. DONOTGO!

Nothing impressive, but nothing to frown upon either. We were satisfied with the variety, for the price. Though we were never«Wowwed» by anything particular, we left full… and didn’t get sick. I’ll stick 2 thumbs up for that.

This place has been open for at least six years and normally that is a problem when it comes to buffets since they normally decline with age. It was this decline which I noticed four years ago which has kept me from eating here. Upon a friends recommendation I decided to give it another try. I am not sure if there has been a change of ownership, but the place had better food than it did on my last visit. The buffet itself is huge with several hot food stations, salads, sushi, Mongolian BBQ and deserts. As can be expected in any buffet there were some good items and some bad items. I found the mushroom pork, green beans, and spicy chicken to be my favorite entrees. Some of the items looked dead, but most were relatively fresh looking. Lunch runs a reasonable $ 7.99. Service was not friendly but prompt and the place overall was kept fairly clean. This is a very large place and large parties can be handled easily. Overall I rate this place 2.75 Stars. Some food is good some food you might be afraid to eat but if you feel like feeding your belly on a budget this might be a good spot for you :)

I used to be an avid fan of King’s Buffet until I dined in yesterday. The quality of the buffet food went down over the years, and it made me pretty sad because I was a King’s Buffet fan. A lot of the food here is your typical greasy and hard to chew on type of foods. I could have swear that the egg rolls they made were as hard as tits. The quality of the seafood was so sad that I can still hear Flounder and Sebastian from The Little Mermaid singing Under The Sea. I was very disappointed with the buffet quality. No wonder why they have a two star average. Customer service on the other hand was alright. Besides forgetting to give me a pair of a spoon and fork, they just stood there very awkwardly waiting to pick up people’s plates. If there’s anything nice I have to say about this place, it would be the soft serve ice cream and crab rangoons. The rest was just horrifying.

Disclaimer: THEFOODISNOTAMAZING(not even good…) Without my «special rating» system, this place is 1 star. Ok… so where do I even start… I love food. It is my life and overall I have pretty good taste. but I admit I have a soft spot for what I like to call«shitty Asian buffets.» These buffets are cheap and rarely cost more than 15 dollars even if they do serve seafood. They usually serve a selection of Americanized food and a small section of authentic food. In my experience the owners/workers are actually Chinese so use that information as you will to judge the authenticity. I love these buffets for when I feel conflicted about what I want because they give me a bite of everything. The food is rarely good so the quality bar is very low. So why 3 stars? Well I have a special rating system for these kinds of buffets. When I have a «shitty Asian buffet» that is ACTUALLY good in every way, they will receive 5 stars but until then, 3 is the highest rating I’ll give. 1) Food poisoning: This is the biggest star winner/loser. If you give me food poisoning, you will instantly drop to a one. But so far, I’ve had two trips here and I’ve eaten the crab legs/suspicious-looking-shrimp/and the sushi. I haven’t found bugs in my food and I’m still alive so good job King’s Buffet. 2) The selection: King’s actually has a fairly large selection of food and it satisfies my desire to have a bite of everything. 3) The service: I honestly thought service would be awful like most other«shitty Asian buffets.» They’re not super friendly but they checked up on us fairly often, gave us utensils if we dropped any, and overall did a good job 4) The food: Like I said, you can get a bite of everything and part of the experience is trying everything and throwing away half of what you get. And honestly, for a «shitty Asian buffet», the food here is not nearly as bad. The workers keep a constant eye and replenish/stir things fairly often and honestly it’s still better than panda express. When you are lucky enough to get a fresh batch of something you might actually get something half way to decent. If you are lucky enough to get a potsticker from a fresh batch, count yourself as lucky. The filling isn’t half bad. Also I HIGHLY recommend getting a donut and putting vanilla ice cream on top. It’s actually good. Crab legs are kinda salty but they’re edible. The sushi wasn’t great but honestly I’ve had worse. The rice wasn’t hard and it wasn’t completely smothered in sauce. The shrimp always looks suspicious but tastes fine minus the fact they aren’t deveined. So yeah… I’ll be back. It’s a guilty pleasure but for a $ 12 seafood buffet, this place isn’t half bad. Don’t expect something fancy or high-end. Just enjoy the mediocrity and roll with the punches. If you don’t like something, just throw it away(just don’t get too much of anything in one go).

I have been visiting this buffet for the past 5 years and as each year goes by, the«passion» displayed by the owner and staff seem to be dying down. Food: I’m not a huge fan of seafood like my mom and aunt/uncle so I tend to gravitate towards the chinese food. As usual the food is lukewarm almost cold and they don’t seem to bring new food out at all. Service: The wait staff have been pretty good even though they have change continuously for the past 5 years. They come by every so often to pick up the empty plates and ask us if we want refills for our drinks. Though the wait staff isn’t bad, the food itself takes away all the stars.

Do not eat here!!! Horrible food and dirty and worn down restaurant. I took my mom here out of convenience because she was having problems with her blood sugar and we had to find something fast. The food was cold horrible tasting and somethings were undercooked including the cream cheese wontons were not cooked. We seriously got ill after eating here. I rarely complain about places I eats because I believe restaurants should get a second chance but this is ridiculous. I complained to the manager as I paid for our food and they still charged us. She didn’t even apologize! STAYAWAY!
