Out of all the places to pick from, we decided to eat here. I wasn’t sure what to expect because when you walk in, your wondering if you seat yourself or wait to be seated. We ordered the dinner combo, that comes with the«daily of the soup», egg rolls, steam rice and your choice of entrée. Soup and egg roll was surprisingly good. We thought they got our order wrong because the portions of our entrees was big(which was great). The food was tasty, but service sucks. We had to tell them we needed water or the check. Overall I’m happy for what we ate and paid.

Ran in for lunch with my husband. I ordered the walnut prawns and he ordered the salt and pepper prawns. We both had the lunch special that comes with soup, rice and noodles. We also ordered pot stickers. Everything was delicious, no complaints. They do need to work on their customer service a little bit, but overall the experience was positive.

The Garlic Prawns were good… but other than that this place kinda sucks. The service was non-existent besides taking our order and bringing our food. Had to hunt someone down for refills and get our check! Our appetizer came right AFTER our food and my husband got a veggie and tofu dish that wasn’t very good(the tofu looked like it was fresh out of a package with no flavor). Very disappointing and we won’t be back!

My wife and I had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. We were waiting for a vehicle being serviced at a dealership. China Stix is located in the Nut Tree Shopping Center, west of Highway 80 and next door to Jelly Belly/Fenton’s. We were the only customers when we walked in, but more came around 12:30PM. The food was not bad. We thought it was average. We order the lunch special: Garlic Prawns with steam rice and String Beans Prawns. The String Beans Prawns could use a little spicy to make more tasteful… or request to make it little spicy. Considering we were the only customers during first 30min, service was great. They were attentive. Parking is not a problem. They have parking spaces in front of the restaurant, but good luck getting one of those. However, you’ll always find a parking spot in a near by lot.

The food is great but the owners brother, who is a chef at the restaurant, takes orders and is very rude and wears these loud sneakers that he drags across the floor. It sounds like a basketball game is going on. Last time I came with my other friend this amazing lady was here and when the chef made a mistake and tried to up charge our food, he was quick to blame her. I work at a restaurant and I know how it is, I hope she found another job, one where they treat her with respect. I give it 3 stars cause the food is great but like I said before the chef is rude, and not professional at all, the owner should take a minute and take time to higher someone who actually wants to be here!

I was a first time customer, and place looked great from outside but management and staff seemed new. Service was a bit off and I felt like the food was just lacking flavor and freshness as well as an an authentic flavor. There AC system was bad, the place felt humid inside as it was much cooler outside. I was not convinced by this place nor the food.

Let’s start with the cons… 1. The service sucks. There was a kid serving us and an adult that barely knew what she was doing… 2. The food was super expensive! This isn’t a nice restaurant in San Francisco or something. It is mediocre. 3. Also the portions are small. $ 13.50 for 10 pieces of honey walnut prawns?! Seriously? Also we ordered a braised eggplant with tofu and pork and got a platter with no pork… rookie move. How do you not know your dishes? Pro 1. The food was at least good tasting. Overall I was pretty pissed. I know I shouldn’t have eaten there in the first place, but I was with family and didn’t want to make a scene. If people are rating this place anything more than 3 stars. They don’t know service or Chinese food. I don’t know how they got 3.5 stars.

I did not stay long enough to taste the food. The greeting, or lack thereof, was enough for me. A server looked at me, as I entered. She eventually approached me and showed me to a table. I sat and waited. She returned and placed menu on table, still without saying a word, and walked away. Would I like a drink? How would she know when she did not have the courtesy to ask. I was rather dumbfounded and decided to leave. It was meant to be, as I found another restaurant close by. How very rude! Won’t be going there again. Don’t even want to give one star. Obviously, they don’t need the custom

Sigh. Where to begin. No greet. We had to get a waiter to get our attention. Getting our order took long. Waiting for our food took longer. We notice a couple came before us and they haven’t got any help. When we got our order the waiter never came back if we needed anything. I hope the owner sees this. I really hope they improve their service and hire an extra employee especially during holidays. They need to smile too. They look pissed and moody. Food is great. Great for take out. 3 stars because of the food.

The food is not Chinese food at all(the taste is good tho), the service is so slllllloooooow, and the waiter forgot to give us rice. Very disappoint. But the waiter looks so nervous, makes me feel so sorry for them

I gave STIX a five star rate due to the guest service! I walked inside for my first time to retrieve a pickup order and Hannah, a cashier, was extremely welcoming and friendly. It’s the first impression that counts! Thank you Hannah!

A hidden gem, the food is always so good, priced right, and the owners are friendly. Try the sesame beef,. Wow it’s great. I am Latin and I was always told to eat Asian food where Asians go to eat, I thought that was silly, but the suggestion rings true. It’s a thousand miles from Panda Express type food.(sorry for the knock Panda) If your looking for over the top themed restaurant seating and hipster coolness when you eat, get a life and do it outside of Vacaville, if you want good take out or mellow sit in at a good price. This is a easy choice. Support your local Vacaville

Went here for the first time today. What great food. I had the lunch special Garlic Shrimp. It was really good and everyone in there seemed to be enjoying the meal. The only down fall is they only had one waitress and she was really hopping. She kept up but I think her service hurt a little because she was so busy. Idk maybe someone called in sick? But the food is really good and there is a large menu.

No – never again – sorry. Bland, typical. I was expecting something new, real – something creative. Pricey even for the outlet stores. Really small portions, nothing reasonably priced, never tasted any different than all the rest. Nice employees, good location, lots of parking however.

So I went today with my family(for my moms birthday) and the service was absolute terrible. The food overall was good, however, the service was bad and the waitress did not seem to like their jobs what so ever. I read that this place was semi-fancy, but it did not seem so ‘semi-fancy’. There were about 7 tables that were not clean and it feels cluttered. She sat us right next to a table with a family but she could’ve sat us at the other empty tables. She also made us to change tables since we had ordered a lot of food. The waitress was distant and had us wait a long time for our bill and food to arrive. The food did not look like the pictures at all and the arrangement of food was terrible. They also gave us another tables food. But overall, the food would be good for take out. We also got free oranges so aye

While the food was just okay, and while I’d never go back, there was nothing so wrong with our visit to warrant 2-stars… so 3 it is. Unmemorable experience? Definitely. EXCEPT for the heat!!! I remember THAT ish!!! Apparently they don’t run the AC(or don’t have AC?), it was 100+ degrees outside & it was soooo stuffy & uncomfortable sitting in there that we rushed through our meal just to get back outside where, at least, there was fresh air! Quick service(almost too quick, since the spareribs came out like 2 minutes after ordering! Microwaved??). Everything else came out seemingly fresh, some dishes were hotter than others. Portions were small, but sufficient. No one finished their meals, more so due to the mediocrity factor. Our items tasted okay, not great, nothing food-wise or service-related to rave /complain about either way. Their chow mein on lunch plates, is literally only noodles, no veggies, no meat, just noodles. Their bejing chicken is suuuper sweet(even for the kid)! Their sesame chicken is 1 dimensional in flavor — tangy sour — no sweet, no spicy, nothing. Some folks might like it that way, but at most places, there’s more complexity or a combination of flavors. The spareribs were tough & dry, nothing like the menu pictured. For the cost + tip AND the time required to sit, order, wait, & eat AND the possible heatstroke risk… Panda Express is a more cost efficient, quicker, similar quality option.

We stopped in this plaza mainly for my son to go on the train and merry-go-round. However, we spontaneously decided to eat here — and I was pleasantly surprised! My son and I shared the seafood won ton noodle soup. It was very good, although I wanted more won tons — I think there were 3, maybe 4 in the bowl. If I knew, I would have gladly paid for more, they were pretty tasty(plus I did share the bowl!!!). My husband ordered Mongolian Beef, and it was good. The beef was tender and the dish was packed with flavor. Despite the dried red chili peppers my son loved it and my husband was forced to share his meat! The décor is okay — it’s almost a fast food-y type of place, but not. It’s nothing fancy, but what counts is the food is good. On our next trip to or from Tahoe, we’ll stop here for food again.

The best place around Vacaville, Fairfield, Dixon and Suisun! Peter and his wife are always friendly and the food is outstanding. We got our usual mei-fun Beijing chicken, and Ma por tofu! Wishing we ordered the Salt and pepper fish. The salad was great and the food was out quick! Thanks Peter!

So we have been waiting for this place to open up as we desperately needed some good Chinese food around here. Located next door to the Jelly Belly Factory the place is medium sized with room for around 30 people or so indoors along with a few patio tables outside. The place was definitely a bit disorganized as I could see the staff running about confused and it took 3 requests and quite some time just to get a cup of hot tea. We ordered a couple of lunch specials which are priced in the $ 8 range and include soup, rice and some noodles. You can add an egg roll for $ 1.25 or a pot sticker for .75. The food came out really fast and for the most part was decent, nothing great but nothing bad as well. The hot and sour soup, fried rice and noodles were all far better than what you would get at Panda, but the entrees were about the same as Panda. Since this place really just opened up, I am hoping they can show some improvement in service and food. The cooks are definitely Chinese so that is a good thing for a place called China Stix :) My next trip I will order family style and try to get a better sampling of their cooking abilities.
