This place is closed… but when it was open itwas horrible … The crawfish were not seasoned right! And they didn’t even use real French bread! I am a NOLA native and I am glad it shut down. Plus the owners were rude and barely spoke English. It was so unorganized.

Not certain, but to judge by the blank roadside sign and the«For Lease» postings in the windows, I think this place has gone the way of the dodo.

I’m seldom in this part of town, but some friends wanted to meet here for lunch. You wouldn’t expect it simply driving by, but this place has surprisingly awesome seafood. They have some of the best crawfish that I’ve had in a long time. We ordered them spicy and they were tender with a great balance of heat to the different Cajun spices. We also ordered jambalaya and fried basket. The jambalaya was decent, but the basket was fried perfection. The fried baskets come with cole slaw, fries and hush puppies. You can pick 2 or 3 items from the list. We got catfish filets, frog legs, and gator. Everything had great flavor and freshness. Side note– There’s a minimum order of 2 lbs when ordering crawfish. One person can easily throw back 2 lbs of crawfish if that’s the only thing they’re eating. There were 5 of us so we ordered 5 lbs along with the other food we ordered and everyone had plenty to eat. Overall, both the service and food were great. The prices are also very reasonable for seafood. Needless to say, this is my new go-to spot for seafood.

Kick A**. Gumbo was incredible! Wings were good. Jumbalaya was a strong B and the crayfish were also a strong B. Meal was pretty cheap. Ambiance sucks. It’s a re-purposed KFC but the waitress was probably one of the nicest and happiest waitresses I’ve seen in years. Good job!

This place is a no bs fish shack that looks like it was built in an old burger king or something. We got the crawfish and it was awesome. Dirty rice was good along with the gumbo. A cool thing about this place is they serve café du monde coffee like you would get in New Orleans. Ill be back, its a great hidden gem for seafood.

Good attentive service. Nice variety of heat to choose from. Prices are good. Try the challenge and eat 6 lbs of the spiciest crawfish in 15 mins. No cheating and not eating the juice from the head. That’s where the real flavor can be found.

Delicious food for a decent price! The Shrimp etoufee was delicious and the crawfish was pretty good. Friend really liked the gumbo. The«Spicy» crawfish personally put my tongue on fire and I actually preferred the garlic & butter, but everyone has their own preferences.

all i have to say is AMAZING! The food here is great, service is awesome and their price is extremely reasonable! you really can’t beat their price any where else! their crawfish/blue crab/gumbo/and étouffée was just amazing! loaded with flavors! and did i mention their fried oysters!!! best thing i’ve ever eaten! i have to order one as a side every time i come here. And I Highly– Highly recommend their RIBS! it FALLSRIGHTOFFTHEBONE! they make it better than my BF! better than most bbq place I’ve been too. Just amazing! the sauce on the ribs pulls it all together! The owner/chiefs are very friendly and greets you when they have time to leave the kitchen. The waitresses were very helpful and they are always on top of their game! every time i turn around, they’re right there asking if i needed anything. **highly recommend their crawfish, étouffée w/crazy rice, Fried oyster, and RIBS! i have yet tried their po-boy and blacken catfish. but I’ve heard from others that its a must!

I wouldn’t say I love their crawfish but it’s as good as it gets, esp if you’re living in the area. There’s not many area that sells crawfish by the lb from what I know and not many places that are joints like this one. The crawfish I got was good but I don’t think it’s worth driving an hour for when I have another place that sells them closer to my house. I did notice they add a large amount of minced garlic which I’m not so crazy for and they seem to get in the way of my crawfish feast. I have yet to try their other food but I’ll probably update this review once I am able to use my groupon for them for the real Crazy Cajun experience.

One of the few places you can get crawfish by the pound in Tampa. If you are up for it try the crazy challenge… 6 pounds of Crawfish Super hot in more than one way and a pound of corn and potatoes to finish in 15 minutes and it is free and you get a t-shirt. If you don’t finish they take your picture and post it on the wall of shame, you can see me there. The sweet tea was good and I have never had crawfish with more spice.

Being from New Orleans I only tried this place because of the groupon but was pleasantly surprised by the service. The owner came out and talked to us for a while and told us his background which was cool. He was very proud of his cooking. The gumbo was ok because I’m used to mamas. Crawfish was tasty but I like really spicy I should have requested that. Boiled shrimp looked very good on another table. Oysters was fried perfectly and very tasty. If I lived in Tampa this would b a regular spot for me

We go here often. As far as crawfish are concerned we haven’t been to a place in the Tampa/St. Pete area that sells them by the pound. For the price you can’t beat them. Another recommendation is to try their ribs, some of the most tender ribs we’ve ever had. Check the pictures and make sure you check this place out for yourself.

Meh… it’s alright. Nothing is really special about this place. The crawfish are pretty small and previously frozen, perhahps for a while. I had a lot better. They are on a par with the crawfish at chinese buffet. Save your money, go to a buffet instead.

Will this Cajun seafood restaurant finally bring good luck to that unassuming building on food-crowded-college-kids Fowler Ave? Housed within a fast-food-sized building, Crazy Cajun looks tired outside, with attempts deliver a more cheerful appearance. Expect the same inside. Walking in, I didn’t expect every eye that glanced at me to be a slanted one. Cajun? Asians? After visiting New Orleans, I was expecting more the Mardis Gras natives-crowd. Ohhh, the owner is Asian. Got it. Our server was very sweet, helpful, and on top of things. Soon, our table was covered in a plastic tablecloth and bibs were thrown at our necks(you’ll need it). The menu includes Cajun staples like po-boys, jambalaya, gumbo, and lots of seafood. – For the low price, only an idiot can go wrong with the plastic bag containing all the steamed and seasoned crawfish. Yum. – Jambalaya’s rice was soft– bordering mushy. Seasoned well, but texture was off– including the too-crispy sausages. – Seafood gumbo barely had any seafood.(Unless my eyes couldn’t detect the microscopic plankton) while the accompanying rice was very dry and grainy. – My brother wished his rib sandwich with better bread instead of the typical grocery-style sliced one. But the sauce was excellent and the meat was deliciously soft. He would’ve preferred a rib sandwich without the rib bone. The collective flavors from the typical CRAZY-good cajun seasonings was enough to make me realize all the shortcomings from the food. Maybe I’ll return… but only for the crawfish.
