Shanghai Express

Currently (early 2014) closed for what looks like remodeling. Well, it could just be closed for their first cleaning in 20 years and that required ripping the entire interior out. In any case, this place was absolutely filthy, but I get nostalgic from time to time and continued to go here every few years since it was my go-​to place for food when I was in college at USF a few miles away. At that point in time, you could get a plate of chicken fried rice for about $ 3. Prices went up over the years, but the dirtiness had already peaked, so wasn’t possible to get much worse lol. I’d avoid this place after dark as it borders some not so great areas; had a car stolen from Sports Authority a few blocks away.
