IHOP

Went in this morning for breakfast knowing it was going to be busy for Valentines Day. The hostess running the line was awesome. She had it rolling like a well oiled machine. She told us it would be a 15 minute wait and it was. She was awesome! I ordered an omelette that was delicious. You could tell the manager in the back was rolling out the orders and walking the floor checking on things. It was a great experience. Great Job ihop!

So as I sit here getting served coffee in a dirty coffee cup with women’s lipstick on it, I ask for a manger. Nope. They don’t even have a manager in duty in the building at 8:40am!!!

While my previous review was glowing and four stars, yikes on the second visit! The picture I posted said it all. My wife was blessed with a long black hair baked deep into her corned beef hash. My wife is a blond. No chance it was hers.
Second issue was m cheese omelet prepared so uncaringly it came out with raw, unmelted shredded cheese on top. Nobody expects raw cheese in a cheese omelet. We expect cheese on the inside and melted.

I ate her at 5:00am on December 28^th 2016. My meal started out terrible and ended worse. I walked in only to wait for over 5 minutes for a waiter. Once I finally spotted one the waitress sighed and talked under her breath while walking over to me and then proceeded to walk me to two dirty tables only to finally find me a semi clean table. When I ordered coffee and an omelet the waitress informed me that she would have to make more coffee and asked if I could wait a little bit. I said ok and proceeded to wash my hands in the restroom while waiting. I came out only to see the waitress pouring old coffee into a mug and putting it on my table. Once my food finally came, after sitting on the shelf for 7 minutes while the waitress was picking things up off the floor with her hands, it was cold and had hair throughout. Disgusting experience at this IHOP. I would not recommend to my worst enemy!

I think this place is okay. I’ve been there a few times, and each time I have a different experience. The staff is a mixture of nice and rude people, so it’s not always great. First time I went there, my server was a Hispanic lady that can barely speak English (no offense). Had to wait a long time for food. The milk shake was watery, and I guess because they didn’t show her how to make those, and also my wife ordered a white mocha and it had no taste whatsoever.
However, the last time I went there, our server was a really nice girl I suppose in her mid-​twenties. Her name is Pockets if I’m not wrong, and she paid attention to everything that’s going on. Her milkshakes are fabulous, and she’s a really nice friendly person. The banana crepes with nutella is my all time favorite thing to get there.
Overall a nice place to go when other restaurants are closed because it’s open ²⁴⁄₇ which is a good thing too.

Im often here for usual favorite breakfast (Sirloin tips and eggs)… I tried one time the omlette and was terrible no way to eat it… Food is ok and the service is little less than Ok. Whenever im here I feel myself in rush… The management can do better and the food is like any chain restaurant that’s all what IHOP can offer… I dont think thay can do better

I love IHOP but this location isn’t that great. It’s atleast a 30 minute wait to be seated if you come on the weekend so I don’t even bother now. There always kids screaming and subpar service.

Came here for bfast at 2:30AM. My first impression of this place was not very familiar to other ihop’s I’ve ate at. The hostess didn’t know what he was talking about; he seemed very confused about where to seat us. They have balloons that say 57, after asking what the number is for, the hostess was still confused and awkward. We sat down and after 7 – 13 mins of waiting someone finally came to our table asked if we ordered yet while the menu was in front of us. The server brought our drinks and another server came to take our order. We ordered around 2:50 and literally waited for about 30 mins for the food to come out cold. This is the worst IHOP experience I have had in my life! Will never return here; our order was as easy as it could be compared to the wait time we experienced. The waiter didn’t acknowledge our wait time, gave us the food, left and checked on us once and after 3 mins dropped the check off to us. After taking the check, he came back to apologize for the long wait as well as gave us a discount. Regardless, the management team really needs to tackle this problem if they want their customer to come hungry and leave «HAPPY»!!!

There’s not beating around the bush with this ihop service; you’re going to be waiting a while. By that I mean like a 20 – 30 min wait for your food. We came here around 2:50 and didn’t get our food till 3:21. To make matters worse, the food was cold. It wasn’t a complicated order at all, could’ve easily been made within 15 minutes but alas, disappointment. Seems as though the whole staff team is very out of tune with the speed of customers they have which isn’t very impressive for a customer to notice. With all the other options around in the area, I won’t be returning to this ihop in particular.

The worst IHOP IN DMV area. The customer service is beyond horrible. I got seated 15 mins ago and no server came to take our order or greeted us. I have no idea why did I make the same mistake twice coming here again. I thought last time was busy but this time anyone is barely here. It’s 2:10pm and the waiters are nowhere near to be found.

We had breakfast yesterday. We waited almost 15 minutes for drinks. The new menus looked great! So kudos on that… My eggs had to sent back several times, first they were too hard, then they were raw… The third time they were correct.
The waitress was u reachable after she left the table. We had to ask someone else for a drink refill. Towards the end of our meal, another waitress brought clean silverware and put them on our dirty table. Gross!!! Not only was she trying to get us out faster, but I will always ask for clean silverware rather then use what’s on the table…
The food was good though.

Every time I’ve gone to this IHOP I never fail to regret it. If it’s not the bad service, it’s hair in my food, dirty dishes where they serve my food, or bugs. I refuse to eat here again!

I got the Chorizo omelette. Delicious and spicy. Our waitress was very nice. The service was fast and food was hot. I would definitely go there again.

+1: Awesome menu design. A picture is worth 1000 words. Every time I come here I try something different because of the menu. I wish more restaurants did this.

Its an IHOP, its not fine dining. Its clean, the staff is friendly, and its the only 24 place in the area. If its late at night and you have to eat, I wouldnt recommend it, but I wouldnt steer you away. It is what it is.

As far as big chains go it has its downsides and upsides. This IHOP is in the bad side of town with most evenings having gatherings of gangsters out front. Armed security even stay in their car most of the time in fear of actually standing by the door.
With that said if you come in the day time you can expect your average IHOP. Food is predictable which is good, but nothing is extraordinary. Personally I despise their coffee, but what are you going to do?
The place is old and you can tell that by looking around. If they spruced the place up, and had security that actually did their job, it would be a great place to come.

I went to grab a bite to eat after going out with a few of my friends last night and we made the mistake of going to this IHOP. It was probably one of the worst dining experiences ever.
It’s took forever for our waiter to even come over to our table. They were not friendly at all and extremely inattentive. We waited forever for food to arrive and once it arrived our waiter didn’t even bring us eating utensils, I had to ask for them repeatedly before I even received utensils to eat my food with! They never gave us water and after asking for water multiple times I finally received some, no apologies. After ordering beverages when I asked for a refill my waiter never came back with a refill, so I had to ask him several more times for a refill which he finally brought after more than 25 minutes.
To be honest I know that IHOP is not an upscale restaurant but I was really blown away by how horrible it was. I honestly could’ve done a better job had I just gone back in the kitchen and grabbed my food myself. I will never ever in my life return here and I urge anyone who would like to have even a remotely pleasant dining experience to not even bother with this location.

I just recently started eating at IHOP again, its been years since I have been to one because I used to visit Bob and Edith‘s and Joes Diner whenever I was in va or Waffle House when I was in Georgia, so for now Im setled in VA and close to this IHOP and the menu has really expanded since I last came here
there are numerous types of omelets to choose from, and now they have breakfast scrambles, everyone knows about the different types of pancakes but there more of those even
they have simple and fit items now for those counting calories and the prices have always been and hopfully always will be resonable

I went here yesterday night. The worst IHOP I hav ever visited is this.
Service sucked big tim… food wasn’t gud, in fact it was pathetic. On top of it the manager said we have d best cook of all time.
D way all of dem acted was frustrating at that time of the night. had 2 drive to taco bell.
1 star is d minimum. I wud hav given 0 stars if I could !!

It’s IHOP. I mean, it’s always exactly what you expect, and it’s always serviceable. Good, not amazing, but never horrible. Despite other diner chains upping their game recently (see Silver Diner’s flexitarian, locally sourced semi-​new menu), IHOP only really adjusts to add more dishes that blur the lines between pasty and pancake.
On my most recent visit, I actually didn’t eat breakfast food. It was dinner time, which normally wouldn’t prevent me, but I’d had a pretty big breakfast that day involving many of the usual breakfast items IHOP sells. So I went for the bacon/​chicken sandwich that was sort of a chicken Philly which a few twists (and of course with fries).
Our service was OK, and the sandwich was fine, but it was missing two of the ingredients the menu said came on it, and it had lettuce on it, which wasn’t mentioned. The whole thing was a little soggy and could’ve used a bit of draining or something before putting it on the sub roll.
I was sitting at a really good angle to see back into the kitchen during our visit, and it seemed like there were a LOT of monkey business going on back there. Employees talking, hanging around doing nothing, goofing off with one another. The table beside of us had their order come out wrong TWICE. Probably could prevent some of that without all the nonsense. I saw one guy rubbing around the corners of his mouth with his fingers and then pick up plates to carry out to the table behind us. Glad he wasn’t our server!!!
Yeah, so, you want IHOP? Go get it. It hasn’t really changed in 20 years. And sometimes that’s just fine (if you want to hang steady and settled in at three stars).
