Had a late Valentine’s Day dinner date in March and it was fantastic, absolutely wonderful service too, very friendly and helpful. Didn’t try to up-sell on wine either, always a plus with me

My wife and I had been waiting to line up a babysitter so that we could have a date night at Europa. We are so glad we choose to come here. The service, from making the reservation to our dining experience was top notch. They certainly now how to make their customers feel welcomed and appreciated. The restaurant was very clean and had a great atmosphere. The food was out of this world. We had the salmon asparagus salad for an appetizer and it was superb. My wife had the filet mignon and wiped it clean. She loved it. I had the frutti di mare and ate until I couldn’t eat anymore. There was so much that I had some leftover for lunch the next day. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great Falls dining excellence has finally come to Herndon and the atmosphere is perfect; still our neighborhood friends. Can’t wait to come back for a bourbon and wine tasting. Thanks Edwin!

Friendly service in this upscale restaurant but the food was not very memorable. I will be back to give it another try.

What a wonderful experience dining at Europa! We found them years ago as El Manantiel, Reston. Humberto Fuentes gives you such a wonderful reception when entering this beautiful, elegant restaurant. Superb dishes, excellent & attentive service. They have a lovely bar area which we haven’t tried yet, but will have to do Happy Hour with Tapas soon. We highly recommend the Wine Dinners they hold once a month! A delightful evening with dishes well planned out to accompany the selections of wine. Europa has taken over as the best fine dining restaurant in Herndon! Bravo to the Fuentes family!

First time here and I was excited due to the very good overall ratings. I ordered the white bean, sausage and chickpea soup and a seafood paella as both sounded super yummy. Soup was a bit salty, but overall not too shabby. It has a nice bit of a spicy kick. The paella that came after that was… salty as well. The calamari rings were a bit rubbery, the fish pieces were good, not enough shrimp to really remember the taste too well and the mussels were okay. Unfortunately, I can’t say it was my favorite dish nor was it memorable enough to be considered among my top paella dishes. Overall, atmosphere was nice — fancy though. The server was very nice and very attentive. No tiramisu for dessert though as they didn’t have any :(. Overall: 3.2÷5

Looks like a very exciting place to eat; they were very busy when we went must mean the food is great! Recommend making a reservation first!

My wife and I and another couple visited Europa Wednesday night. It was our first time there, but we were familiar with the staff having dined at their previous restaurant, El Manantial in Reston. The staff and service were excellent as was the food. I had the seafood paella which I recommend.

Good meal and wonderful service. We were there during restaurant week so took advantage of their full course menu. I had the salmon with vegetables, cook just slightly past rare and moist. My wife had the payaya and thought was a little dry. Very nice setting and comfortable atmosphere, not too crowded and easy to enjoy a conversation during dinner.

Arrived at 9:29 pm on a Friday night(Nov 13, 2015). Noticed restaurant was about 1⁄3 full which seemed pretty light given it was a beautiful Friday evening. Was met at the door by the host who blocked our entry and informed me and my companion that the kitchen was closed and we couldn’t come in, despite the fact Unilocal and the Dining for Miles app both say the place is open til 10:00 pm. And I could see food being delivered to tables inside! We went across the street to the Russian place and were told the same thing — kitchen is closed. What a joke this area is. No wonder so few people are here and I understand from other reviews this section has had a number of restaurants come and go. We ended up at Zeffirelli’s which is the next restaurant over and the guy there warned us that the kitchen was closing in 25 minutes(as if we wouldn’t figure out what to order by then). We ended up eating and food was decent but wow what a way to start. I guess this is Herndon(and Northern Virginia!) for you. What a sorry excuse for service. None of these places will be here in a few months with this attitude. I wonder if the owners realize the people that are managing these establishments are doing such a poor job. I guess they will figure it out eventually. Unless you like being treated rudely, save yourself from going anywhere near Herndon. I wonder if this place even has a chamber of commerce.

What a fabulous find! We are in town on business and decided to drive around this part of town to see if we could find somewhere to have a nice dinner. We decided based on reviews we would give Europa a try. I’m so glad we did! We started with a bottle of wine and the grilled calamari. I haven’t had the fried but the grilled was out of this world! The bread they bring to the table is so fresh and tasty. You’ll want them to keep bringing more but don’t because the main courses are great too! My boyfriend got the paella and it was wonderful. The seafood was well cooked but not over done. I got the lamb which was beautifully presented and tasted fabulous. The red wine sauce had so much flavor which complimented the lamb well. During dinner my boyfriend was helping me practice my Spanish. The servers were kind to me and let me practice with them also. Mario, our server, taught me a few new phrases also. Even though we were full from dinner we knew we had to try dessert. He got a scotch and I got a champagne and we split the chocolate mousse. It was delicious. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

The food was ok and the service was very good. Just felt like something was missing in the dishes for the price. Calamari was tough, mussels ok if your drown them in sauce, duck was pretty good but needs something other than steamed veggies and the beer list was absent from the menu.

Dined here for an early dinner on a Wednesday. 1. Location — Great location in Old Town Herndon. Much better than the previous location in the empty shopping center in Reston. I think this will help attract more diners. 2. Inside Ambiance — Lovely. Upscale, clean, and inviting. We sat by the window, which was great to look out to Old Town Herndon. 3. Staff — The manager was absolutely wonderful with perfect hospitality. Our server Oscar was friendly, but maybe could have had a big more energy. I felt like I needed to get him some coffee to wake him up a bit. I recommend looking at the restaurant’s website before dining here as it provides the menus and specials. I had to ask about the tapas menu and the early bird special. Once I mentioned it, the server did bring out the tapas menu and he went over the specials with us. 4. Drinks — I picked from the cocktail menu, which had a nice selection of mixed cocktails. The lemontini was good, however not as good as Mon Ami Gabi’s. They also have a beer list, wine list, and full bar. 5. Appetizers — I ordered the oysters from the tapas menu. They were lightly breaded and fried. The pickled onions were a nice touch. They were very tasty, but something was a just tad off in regards to the taste of the oysters. can’t pinpoint it just yet. I would recommend this tapas if you like oysters. Other appetizers ordered were the caesar salad and the caprese salad. Both looked very nice and fresh. 6. Dinner — I was hesitant to order seafood based on other reviews saying that the seafood is overcooked here, but I just love seafood, so I ordered the monkfish which came with just the right amount of mashed potatoes and vegetables. I saw that some other reviewers complained about the small amount of mashed potatoes, but I totally disagree. I would rather have more monkfish than potatoes. The monkfish was delicious and cooked perfectly! Not overdone at all. I would get this again in a heartbeat. I tasted the other entrees ordered — rack of lamb cooked medium rare and the calf’s liver. Both are to die for! Beautiful presentation on all entrees. Both were melt in your mouth delicious. The flan dessert and the chocolate mousse were a nice end to a wonderful meal. Overall, this is a fabulous restaurant and dining experience. I had dined at the restaurant years ago when it was called El Manantial in Reston. There was nothing memorable about that dinner years ago, except for the mediocre calamari. I am so happy that they relocated and now are showcasing a much better menu. I highly recommend this restaurant and give it 4⁄12 stars!

This place is the former El Manantial in Reston, now re-badged as Europa in the Town of Herndon. The new restaurant is a different feel as the old one and the menu has been revised. No more brick oven pizza. Gone is the big parking lot in their old Reston location… now parking is limited and subject to 2 hr limits during the weekdays. I believe they are NOT open for lunch on Saturdays, but they still do Sunday brunch. I really liked El Manantial in the past, so I had high expectations for Europa. The Fuentes family continues with really good food. Had the fried oysters, the seafood paella and the crab cake sandwich… all super delicious. The crab cake sandwich is one of the best in the area. Can’t wait to try them again for NoVa restaurant week!

We came here for my dad’s birthday because we had really enjoyed it in its former location. This trip left something to be desired. Nothing blew us away, but at the same time, nothing was terrible. There was just more hope for a dish that cost as much as most of ours did. The upside? Dessert. I didn’t have room for any after dinner, but by the time we left, dessert had been polished off and was the only thing anyone was raving about.

I came here for Restaurant Week and it did not disappoint. The lamb with red wine sauce was absolutely delicious!!! Unfortunately the sides with it were not amazing/different(vegetables and very little amount of mashed potato), but it was okay because my appetizer(mesclum salad) and dessert(apple tart) were very delicious as well. Great service!

Decent food, nothing blew me away. The service was great here and they have a good wine selection. The goat cheese salad here was great, but it kind of ended there. The rest of the food was good, but not great. I would go back and try this again, but will not be running back.

Europa, formerly El Manantial of Reston. I made a call tonight to El Manantial and realized they had moved to the new location. A great experience, same menu with a few minor adjustments. Same great service and don’t forget Momma’s desserts. As always a great service. Thanks again Humberto.
