We always look for breakfasts places… How did we miss this place? Great service and a constant refreshing of coffee. Food is great and not your typical Chain restaurant. We will definitely be back

I would love to tell you how great this place is, but I wouldn’t know. We came here for breakfast. It was disorganized with people waiting out the door and on the sidewalk. I figured it’s gotta be good. There didn’t seem to be a sign up or a list. I got noticed by someone who worked there who said I’d be seated soon. And about 50 minutes later he acknowledged my presence again. 15 minutes later I left hungry.

Truly American traditional! Old school diner feeling with the great service to compliment the atmosphere. Everything on the menu is good, and you are given your monies worth!

Come if: You’re looking for breakfast food without the super added salt/sugar/etc. that restaurants usually put in their food. They close at 3pm everyday I believe which is perfect since this is a breakfast + lunch place.

Love this place! We had pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee, and apple juice and loved it all(even down to the apple which my daughter said was really good!). Service was awesome too. Being from NJ we miss having family owned restaurants in the area and will definitely come back to this one!

I looked up places to eat on Unilocal and noticed this was close by. My friends and I decided to have brunch there. Immediately upon arriving, the place was packed, with people waiting. Some people were waiting outside in the cold. Luckily for them, Joe’s had set up two large space heaters, which I thought was very thoughtful. After maybe 5 minutes, Rami(not sure if he’s the owner/manager) came over to take our names down. He is very calm, mellow, and personable. We got seated in about 20 minutes, and ordered our food. The only problem with the food is that it was cold, but it definitely had a good taste. I will most likely return.

Overall not a bad option, the décor is pretty basic and what you’d sort of expect for a diner. It does get quite busy here on the weekends, but the service is pretty fast and efficient for as busy as it can get. Overall, the food is pretty good, although the one downside about this place is that in order to get a side of meat with my pancake i have to order eggs in order for it to be cost effective. Mind you I cannot stand the taste of eggs by themselves you honesty won’t see me eat them ever. I know a bit strange but that’s me. The coffee is pretty good as well. Cost wise too its a pretty good deal for the amount of food that you get. I will warn the parking lot in the strip mall that Joe’s occupies is pretty small and depending on which direction you might be coming from accessing it might be a bit of a challenge too. But I’d certainly say its worth checking out.

Recommended by a friend, Joe’s did not disappoint. We came here for a post-5K race breakfast. It was crowded but we were able to snag the 6 seats at the counter to avoid the long wait for a table. I grew up eating at many diners as well as working in one up in PA/NJ — so I was more than pleased to see scrapple on the menu. It’s unbelievably bad for you but it’s one of those things I will indulge on just for nostalgia’s sake. And because well, it’s delicious. We had fast service and were able to pay separately. I don’t get out to Sterling a lot but I’d totally come back here. Cheap and delicious.

No frills American Diner-esque Breakfast fare and definitely a locals joint. Nothing too fancy, just the standards done they way they should be and at an affordable price point. Eggs are cooked perfectly to order. The only disappointing thing was the waffle; sadly, it was just a chewy texture all around with no crisp exterior to be seen. Service is on point and attentive, nary an empty coffee cup to be seen. This place is busy on the weekends, so you may need to wait a bit during peak brunch times.

The food at Joe’s is pretty standard… Nothing amazing but definitely good. I like the breakfast burrito, simple and to the point. If you’re looking for extravagant meals or anything fancy, this isn’t your place. If you’re looking for a simple meal that will leave you satisfied and not break the bank, Joe’s is great. If I were just rating the food, I would probably give 3 stars because it’s just very average. I’m giving 4 stars because of the amazing service. You can tell there are tons of regulars, but the staff knows almost everyone who walks in the door. They do a great job of turning over tables in a timely manner despite how busy they always are. I appreciate the«mom and pop» feel and friendly environment. Worth an extra star! Would definitely recommend as a breakfast stop!

Ate here today with my family; arrived around 11:30am and there was a little bit of a wait and we got sat. Decided to try this place out based on the reviews here on Unilocal and also word of mouth. We were very satisfied; the staff was very attentive and on top of refilling our coffee. I ordered the chipped beef gravy over biscuit with 2 sunny side up eggs & hash brown(you can choose home fries or hash browns) which was delicious. My husband got the huevos rancheros and he said it was the best he’s ever had and he’s so happy that Joe’s is nearby and has it! My little brother got the junior pancake w/1 egg and sausage and you have a choice between sausage links or sausage patties and he was happy and said that the pancake was big and perfect. Will definitely be back to try different things on the menu!

Just a classic breakfast stop, nothing too fancy, just good food. You might have to wait a little while, depending on the day, because the place isn’t big at all. I did like that the manager, I believe that’s who he was, greeted us at the door and if he noticed that someone had to wait a little bit longer than expected, he acknowledged them, apologized and reassured them that they would be seated soon. I will say, I loved their pancakes. Cooked perfectly, hot and fresh and of course tasted even better with butter and syrup. My eggs were cooked perfectly, soft, just like I asked and just like I like them. It was fast service, accurate and just delicious food.

I’ve been meaning to go to Joe’s for a long time. Maybe I ordered the wrong menu item, but I was left a little disappointed. A friend and I came here on Saturday morning around 11:30am; the parking lot was filling up(a lot of people seemed to arrive at the same time as us). We waited 20 – 25 minutes for a table, which wasn’t as bad as I thought, since the place is one small dining room area with the bar. I ordered the«Nora’s Combo» which was $ 9.95−10 on the menu. You get your choice of pancake, waffle, or french toast as the entrée, 2 eggs(cooked any style), a meat choice(bacon, scrapple, sausage links or patties), and one of the following: hashbrown, homefries, or grits. I opted for the french toast, which I heard was good reading on Unilocal. My two eggs were scrambled, and I received 2 sausage patties with the hashbrown. The french toast seemed like it was made from old bread. That really disappointed me, because when I cut into it with my fork and knife, the french toast was hard and tough to chew… The sausage patties were average, eggs were eggs, and the hashbrown was sadly soggy, and not crisp like I would expect. I actually went home to fry my own hashbrowns and they turned out more crisp. I’m bummed that I didn’t have a good experience here, since I’ve had this place on my radar for so long.

I went to Joe’s Café with a co-worker on our way to do business around Dulles. We both ordered pretty basic breakfasts, I got some sort of egg/sausage/toast/potato combo, and my coworker got a breakfast sandwich and potatoes. We were both happy with our meals. We walked into a local diner, and got diner breakfasts… just as advertised. One thing to note is that these types of local diners can be unpleasantly greasy… but that wasn’t the case here at all. Service was courteous(she could see that we were prepping for a meeting), so she was quick, efficient, and discreetly kept our coffee full without inserting herself into our discussion. I’ll actually seek this place out next time I’m around IAD.

A+ diner food! I had the pleasure of dropping off a friend for a Sunday morning flight at Dulles, and we swung by for some better-than-airport-food grub. Now with a bar set that low, it’s hard to disappoint, but Joe’s was above and beyond our expectations. The biscuits and gravy was filling and tasty. The breakfast sandwich was epically large with two large sausage patties on an extra large croissant. There was not a veggie in sight as we choked down our sides of home fries and hash browns. It was a beautiful thing to see. Above all, even on a busy Sunday morning, we were served courteously and promptly. A feat not to be downplayed with so many hungry mouths to feed!

This is a hidden gem! Everything on the menu seemed delicious. It’s a little restaurant and when you walk in, it’s decorated like a diner. The servers are friendly and service is quick. Your food is made to order, so everything is fresh and hot. I ordered the waffles, two eggs, and sausage links. The waffles were thick and warm. The outside had a perfect crunch and crisp while the inside was fluffy. The waffles was the perfect combo with the sausages and eggs. They had lunch items too! If you’re in the area and you’re look for a place to get a quick bite, this is the place for you!

This place might be my new favorite diner! They serve breakfast even at lunchtime, the staff are very friendly and attentive, and Joe’s has the coolest chairs I’ve ever seen in a diner — they’re studded. As a result, it looks super quirky when you walk in, and it’s filled with locals, so you know right away it’s going to be good. My friend and I both ordered coffees and breakfast burritos. It was amazingly filling, so I only ate half. Mine included eggs, cheese, hash browns, and bacon. My disappointment was solely that the bacon was well done. It also could have used more cheese(however, I say this about everything). The burrito was delicious nonetheless! And it just served as my dinner. I’ll be going back to Joe’s again, and I’ll be bringing more friends next time.

We decided to visit this place based on my Unilocal friends great reviews. It was about 9 of us dining for Sunday brunch this past weekend. The place is small and really not an ideal place for a group. The manager or seemed to be an owner was the only person who is sitting people and waitresses would then come to take the order which was kind of bazaar. We had to wait about 30 – 40 mins to be seated and we had a multiple waitresses coming by to take orders and drop stuff off. Very unorganized. I ordered their country fried steak with scrambled eggs and hash brown, everything was cooked the way I asked & sides were delicious. My boy friend and friends enjoyed all of their food. As I have read in the reviews, food is outstanding but service can be improved a bit. I would come back again with a smaller crowd to try the food and dining experience once more time and revisit this review
