Luv this place! Wish I could enjoy the croissant with bacon, egg & cheese every day! Fabulous-ness!

One of the best local spots in Herndon! This place is one of the very few that I will always come into Herndon for. Basic necessity: Everything bagel with chicken salad melt. Seriously, it’ll change your life.

I love their bagels, especially the jalapeño with lox spread. Delicious vageks, and very friendly staff.

Everyone that works there is extremely friendly! I’ve tried many different things on their menu and haven’t been disappointed. They have a good selection of bagels. Their sandwich options are good too and they offer half sandwich and half soup options as well(only for certain sandwiches).

Totally unexpected to find a great bagel joint in Herndon VA. Food is awesome and we usually get it for takeout bc it’s busy and we live close by. Always super packed and food takes a little extra time to get prepared.

Worst place ever. Very unfriendly and always new people at the counter. The bagels are good and fresh yes. But customer service wise? There are not many Bagel places around here and once in a while I’ll go and get me a Bagel just to really bi$#@ to myself again why I went.

I’ll open by saying I can pretty much take or leave bagels. I’ve had very good bagels, but none that changed my life. These bagels are not an exception; delicious, credible, but you can only do so much with a bagel. The fam and I went in and got ham and cheese breakfast sandwiches(for the adults) on a plain and spinach/herb bagel, respectively, and a ham and cheese omelette for the 2yo boys. I enjoyed my sandwich(plain bagel) very much; robust and chewy bagel, perfectly cooked eggs, and a hearty portion. My wife’s sandwich(spinach/herb bagel) tasted like ham and eggs sandwiched between to sage bushes. The bagel was a little spindly, but packed a week’s worth of herb flavor into that little ring. The kids’ omelette was cooked marvelously; I don’t mind saying normally they’ll only eat my eggs, but they crushed this thing. It was in a French style: thin eggs folded twice, not the fat folded egg pancake thing we often see here. The omelette also came with roasted potatoes which were almost creamy and seasoned well; I loved them, the rest of the fam not so much. But what do they know? Let them start their own Unilocal accounts. The place is packed at brunch time on a Sunday(shocked!!!), but they do have a fair amount of tables and we didn’t wait for seats. They also have seating outside. That said, it was a little cramped, having to scootch in every time somebody tried to squeeze between tables. There were a ton of bagel choices, housemade cream cheeses, ice cream, and more. I can’t WAIT to go back. I think the lox bagel is next on my list. I saw someone else with it and it looked freaking amazing.

This bagel café was not purposefully sought out, but just happened to be in the area where a group of friends were eating. We were all so pleasantly surprised! there were so many options for bagel sandwiches, omelettes, cream cheeses, and more. One day I had a bagel sandwich with egg and cheese on a large and yummy everything bagel. The next day I had a PIZZA bagel with green and red bell peppers. Seating inside was pretty limited both days but I think that spoke to the holiday weekend and also how good it was! Employees were cheerful and extremely friendly as well. What a great find!

In my twelve years in Herndon, I NEVER visited this place. It is packed! And so, so good. I tried the simple breakfast everything bagel sandwich with egg and cheddar cheese. Solid deal and under$ 4. Recommendations: the cream cheese selection looks INCREDIBLE. My friend had a pizza bagel and let me tell you, they do not play around. It is filling and rich with veggies! I also saw someone eating a bear claw. Full of promise, really, so I’m confident I’ll be back again.

For bagels and cream cheese, his place would go four stars. The bagels are decent, there are good choices of flavors for both the bagels and cream cheeses. But I knocked it down a star to reflect the average quality of their breakfast fare and the very tight eating area.

My uncle loves this place so much, the bagel selection is huge and service is friendly and patinet. Very patient, it took me a while to decide what type of cream cheese i wanted. Ugh, decisions, decisions. They bring food to your table and offer fresh squeezed OJ. Excellent place for early breakfast.

What an amazing place! I had no idea this was here and I’m definitely going to be a regular now. Their bacon, egg and cheese on a kaiser roll was outstanding. The service was friendly and fast. The coffee was fresh and delicious. The bagels looked heavenly. What a great find!

I have been coming here since 2000. I have never been disappointed by anything I have eaten here. Portions are huge. I had to cut back because… FAT. Long lines at peak hours but so worth it. Best lox bagels this side of the Mason Dixon.

Came to Bagel Café twice during my trip to DC. I was staying with a friend in Reston so we thought it was smart to grab breakfast locally. The first time I went was absolutely fantastic. The employees were helpful and kind. Plus, $ 3.50 for a bagel and cream cheese! I had an everything bagel and lox cream cheese and loved it. Everyone I was with also loved their assorted bagels and cream cheese — great all around! We came back two days later because we had such a great experience the first time. My friend and I decided to share a bagel with cream cheese this time because we were planning on eating an early lunch. Unfortunately, though the food was good, we didn’t have as great of an experience with the service. It was much busier(it was a Sunday) so I can understand if there was stress, but one of the employees handed my friend the wrong order and then was rude to her when she told the employee that our order was incorrect! It was all easily sorted out(she had just switched the bags when she handed it to us) but it made us feel a little uncomfortable. Nonetheless, I’d still return to Bagel Café. Next time I’d love to try something else on their menu, everything looked really good!

What a great place for a bite to eat for breakfast or coffee! I started coming here a few years ago on a friend’s recommendation. The menu has something for everyone. Overall great food made with quality ingredients, great staff and an excellent environment not to mention a dog friendly patio! PS everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Enjoy coming here every weekend.

I really like this place. They have the friendliest employees. The coffee could be a little stronger but the bagels are delicious. I wish they would stay open a little later. But if you can make it for breakfast or lunch they are a good choice. They also have fresh o.j. It’s a little sweet but really tasty.

So I took the hubby here, since we wanted breakfast but I didn’t want to eat a massive plate. We got there around 10ish on a Sunday and the place was pretty full. We waited for our food. I got a bagel with the bacon and herb cream cheese. He got an egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich. I wasn’t sure if he’d like it but he loved it. He said I can’t believe you hadn’t taken me here before. Final review 4.5 stars, I love the food, they have good coffee, but the lay out and seating, is a bit of a draw back if you’re dining in. The tables inside are cramped together making it tough to pass through. Also when there’s a line of people getting in and out can be a challenge. Unfortunately the outdoor seating was taken. Normally when I go I get my stuff to go, which I might do next time. But I will certainly be back when I need my bagel fix.

Although it doesn’t look like much on the outside, the Bagel Café is my second favorite breakfast place in Herndon! It’s a hidden spot that most locals know about, and I think they’re all pretty terrified about the word getting out to others. It’s a pretty small place that gets crowded on weekends as it is, so mums the word. Let people go out in their ignorance and enjoy Panera and Starbucks. But really, I ordered the Russian omelette, stuffed with potatoes, sour cream, and green onions, and it came with a bagel and a fresh fruit cup — all for only $ 7.50. I walked out of there feeling like I ate like a king. Another joyous weekend at the BC!

I remembered the day when my boyfriend first brought me here like it was yesterday. He opened the door and introduced Bagel Café as the best breakfast place in town. He told me he used to go here hundreds of times back when he went to school, his mother came here quite often for her breakfast needs, his brother who is extremely picky loves the bagels from here, and he even went as far as telling me that he had brought every single one of his past girlfriends here and they’ve all loved it(Okay, stop right there buddy… Too much information). Then he said hi to Jerome, the African-American gentleman behind the counter who’s worked there for as long as he’s remembered and placed our order while I admired the plethora of different types of bagels and spreads that they have displayed behind the counter. So from the very beginning, I’ve raised the bar of expectations and held Bagel Café in high regards. From their basic everything bagel toasted with butter to their complex bagel with cream cheese and Nova, I’ve enjoyed it all. However, I am saddened to inform you that through the year Bagel Café is gradually losing its appeal on me. Here is a compilation of incidences that have left a bad taste in my mouth: –I was ordering breakfast for my boyfriend’s mother. She told me she wanted a side of salsa with her eggs and mentioned that she was never charged extra for that. When I ordered, they insisted that there is a charge. I obliged. When I got home, I saw no salsa in her order. –I ordered sunny side up eggs. They gave me over easy eggs. I told them that they got the order on the eggs wrong. Instead of fixing it, they insisted that the sunny side up eggs were over easy eggs. There is a clear difference. I gave up and left. Sigh. –I ordered an everything bagel toasted with butter only to find out when I got home that it wasn’t toasted nor was there butter on it. –I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese and Nova. Normally they gave me tomatoes on my bagel but on this particular day I didn’t see any tomatoes. I went back and asked for tomatoes and the lady snapped and said next time asked for it. WELLEXCUSEMEBUTLASTTIMEITWASGIVENTOMEWITHOUTMEHAVINGTOASKFORIT. –On my boyfriend’s mother birthday, I wanted to surprise her with breakfast in bed and she loves Bagel Café. She’s been there thousands of times and has ordered the same thing every single time. I couldn’t remember what her regular order was and I asked the staff and no one knows. I understand that they have tons of customers and regulars but I was hoping someone in the store would remember her order and no one did. That was awkward and did not impress me. –Their fresh squeezed orange juice is not as great as many reviewers have made it out to be. I actually wouldn’t order it again. Their customer service sucks and my experiences have taught me that you need to DOUBLECHECKYOURORDER before you leave the establishment because 8 out of 10 times they’ve gotten my order wrong. Now, if you can get them to fix your order without returning a snarky comment back please let me know…

Looking for New York style everyday freshly made bagels? Then you found it! Here you’ll find many different flavored bagels, cream cheese spreads and sandwiches. All fresh! Some customers even said this place got better bagels then those bagel places in New York! And everyone that works here are friendly! They also make fresh squeezed orange juice. They make really yummy breakfast bagels with cream cheese & nova. You gotta try it! Even though they get super busy in the mornings(Monday thru Sunday… every morning) the line goes by pretty fast and your order comes out within minutes!
